Story
Meet Lexie! This 3 year old husky is ready to find her new forever home. She is timid and shy, so she will need some work coming out of her shell. She loves other dogs and would do really well having another dog to help her gain confidence. She was not a fan of cats at all- so no cats for her! Due to her shy nature, we ask that kids be older than 6-7. She seems to hunker down if there is too much excitement.PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rex is looking for his forever home. He was surrendered at just a mere 8 months old to One Dog at a Time ODAAT because of his severe separation anxiety. He was born in February 2018 and is a Husky, Terrier mix. A lot of people might have given up on Rex. He is deaf, suffered from severe separation anxiety, and had no training whatsoever. But the people at ODAAT believed he'd be a perfect candidate for their training partnership with a local prison, Rockview. Rex learned great basic commands while staying at the prison and a couple of really special ones. He is no longer in the program and is ready for his forever home. Because Rex is deaf, we truly feel he would require another pup to be able to live life to the fullest. Older children only. Rex is protective of his people. He is committed through and through with the person he bonds with. He will require a special family to be able to bring him to his full potential. Rex will not be able to be a social butterfly. If you're looking for a dog that will be a great companion, this is your boy! His best friends are Deitz, Vader and Dugan, three of our ODAAT rescue pups. So if you are in the market for an awesome pair, trio, or quad group... just let us know! Applications can be found at  www.onedogatatime.us.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 3, 2024, 9:56 am

Story
Carolina was rescued from a kill shelter, she was very skinny, frightened and had painful eyes due to intropian (her eyelashes were turned in and irritating/scratching her eyes) which caused her constant pain for her entire life. Her eyes have been repaired but one is still irritating her and may need another surgery to repair it again. Otherwise she is very healthy, very active, she is looking for an active person who loves to run, hike, travel, be outdoors to play ball with her - she loves to play with other larger-breed dogs with proper introductions. She is very friendly with people. She is very young and needs some training! She is an awesome dog for an active person or family with children over 10. Not good with cats or small animals.

Taniel is a one-person dog who needs someone who wants a great companion but understands Taniel is not friendly with strangers. He is great with people he knows and trusts. Taniel is very good with other friendly dogs, he gets along well with non-dominant male dogs but prefers females, his yard buddy is Princess. Taniel is housebroken and very well mannered. Story
🖤SHILOH🐾 Gentle, handsome, senior husky 🐕 After years of neglect, he’s safe in rescue & getting the care he deserves. We were told that he formally belonged to a neighbor who used to keep him on a chain and never let him in. But recently he had let him go and said he did not want him anymore. Probably because, Shiloh had a tumor growing on his underside and he did not want to be responsible. He has finished his antibiotics and steroids, and the tumor has been removed. The good news is …. It isn’t cancerous!!! And his heart and lungs, and all other x-rays were clear 🖤 True to his breed, he is vocal and full of adorable personality. He greets every human with a soft “awoooo” and lots of cuteness😍 Good with other dogs, but doesn’t need any in his forever home. He’s a bit of a loner. 🤣 In search of a yard to sunbathe in, snacks & pets from people that love him, and the opportunity to live out his golden years how he deserves 💕 If you’re interested in adopting a settled, senior boy, please consider welcoming Shiloh into your home! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
