Story
If you`ve ever dreamed of having a big, fluffy adventure buddy by your side, look no further than Willy. At 4½ years old and around 60 pounds, this stunning Husky mix is a showstopper. Willy is a goofy, lovable boy who takes a little time to let his guard down. Once he realizes he`s safe, his sweet personality starts to shine through. Every day, he`s making progress and growing into the companion he was always meant to be. When he`s not working on his confidence, you`ll usually find Willy doing what he loves most - swimming in the pond. Water is definitely his happy place, and we can easily picture him living his best life on a boat, splashing at the beach, or joining his family for lakeside adventures. Willy is also currently undergoing treatment for heartworms. If you`re looking for a handsome adventure partner with movie-star looks, a goofy streak, and a heart ready to learn what home feels like, Willy may be your perfect match.

Story
Aspen is a breathtakingly beautiful Husky mix with soulful eyes, and a quiet strength that inspires everyone who meets her. At 3 years old, she is still discovering what it means to be a beloved family member, and she`s ready to find the patient, loving home she has always deserved. Every day, she grows a little braver, a little more trusting, and a little more confident. Aspen takes her time getting to know new people and situations, but once she feels safe, her gentle and sweet nature shines through. She`s the kind of dog who reminds you that trust is something precious, and being the person she chooses to trust is incredibly rewarding. She enjoys the simple pleasures in life, especially relaxing outdoors and exploring at her own pace. Aspen is also currently undergoing treatment for heartworms. While her journey to health isn`t quite complete, she is handling it with grace and resilience. With proper care, patience, and love, Aspen has a bright future ahead of her and is well on her way to becoming the wonderful companion she`s meant to be.

Story
Porkchop came into the shelter extremely fearful with 8 other husky mixes. They were left behind in a backyard when someone moved and could not take them all. Porkchop being the youngest had the least amount of socialization which caused him to be extremely fearful and reactive in the shelter. His quality of life started to diminish and he was put on the euthanasia list. This is no fault to the shelter. This is unfortunately the result of people not being responsible for the pets they produce and leave behind. In turn, setting them up for failure. The day he was scheduled to be euthanized he was pulled by a local trainer where he has truly come out of his shell. Although extremely fearful, we quickly figured out the last thing he would ever want to do is bite or harm anyone. The progress from Porkchop has been amazing to watch as he is able to be handled by anyone and everyone that has come to work with him. Porkchop loves his leisurely walks and training with his foster and the other trainers that work with her. He loves to chase her around when she tells him he did the right thing and do big laps in her yard. He is truly a sweet soul that was highly misunderstood. Porkchop is dog social and has been around all types of dogs; big, little, male and female. He seems to be very passive! Porkchop is finally ready to find his person! Here are a list of things he knows! And is continuing to learn: ⭐️ Sit, Down, Place, come ⭐️ Dog Social ⭐️ Neutral in public (no reactivity to humans or dogs) ⭐️ A hike in the woods is his Super Bowl. This is where he loves to be! ⭐️ Crate trained, very clean and quiet in kennel ⭐️ No kids under 12 (not because of aggression, more because he can get scared easy and hasn’t seen very little children) ⭐️ Cats (unsure) ❓ ⭐️ FREE TRAINING FOR LIFE provided by his foster who is a professional dog trainer in Charleston. And highly discounted boarding so you have a familiar place to leave him when you go away. We are so glad Porkchop is still here and love him very much! He deserves a family of his own.
