It didn’t take long to realize she was something special. Willow knows her basics – she can sit, shake, and lie down like a pro. She’s house trained, great on a leash, and rides like a champ in the car. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, children – honestly, everyone she meets! While she still has some mischief in her (what young dog doesn’t?), she’s very smart and highly trainable. Her favorite things? Couch cuddles, belly scratches, and being part of the action. They all love the attention and belly rubs, treats and playing in the water. The girls do know to sit and give paw and have been around children and they absolutely love kids. Henry has been the neighborhood dog for a few years at Rainbow Cove. The neighborhood has fed, doctored and sheltered him. He is good with kids and adults. The greeter to everyone who visited or fished on the dock. Now that Sabine has taken over, Henry has no home. Most of the residents are moving to parks that do not allow dogs. We have 5 so cannot take him. Please if anyone needs a gentle companion please let me know.

Cherokee came from an area neighborhood known for loose dogs and way too many pregnant ones. Her Mom was mostly Black Lab, father unknown. We had to trap her to save her life. She is full grown now and is between 40 to 50 lbs. It has been a long road of socialization but Cherokee wants to please and is so anxious to be loved. She now walks on a leash and is now ready for the next stage in her life- a permanent and loving home. We had some 6th graders visit and she loved their attention. She has her wings now and is ready to fly off to a new adventure. Giving her a home will be the most awesome experience. Sweet Penelope is a little distant from most humans, (we think she was abused) but not aggressive at all. However she ADORES other dogs. She is living her best life if she has another dog to play with and live with. She needs an adopter who understands that she will never likely be a very demonstrative dog with her human family, but will love and accept her as she is. She does let you pet her, she is just not very needy at all. She is crate trained, and housebroken. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines and microchipped.
