She is living her best life if she has another dog to play with and live with. She needs an adopter who understands that she will never likely be a very demonstrative dog with her human family, but will love and accept her as she is. She does let you pet her, she is just not very needy at all. She is crate trained, and housebroken. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines and microchipped.

Shelby is a doll despite a hard life. She was probably dumped as she just showed up to a nice family’s house. They had no fencing and they did not care if she wandered so she didn’t stay. We intervened when she continued to roam. We are getting her healthy despite neglect. She was so matted we had to cut her coat with scissors and we’re not experts so she looks like a 6 yr old gave her a haircut. It just makes her even more adorable. She is so sweet and gentle and never met a stranger. This girl is a jewel in the rough. Can you make her shine ? She will reward you with more love and loyalty than you can imagine.. She has been in a foster home so she has been groomed, is living indoors and is a wonderful companion. Kenzo and Naomi were found as strays, picked up by Mansfield Animal Control, one of the worst kill shelters in Texas. No information was provided except they are heartworm negative. On July 4th - Naomi gave birth to 7 nuggets. This sweet gal is now ready for a home of her own. She lived in a home with a male akita, and we believe with the proper introductions, she will do great. She is always the first one to meet you and snuggles into your legs. There is not a person that visits that she doesn't like including dogs.
