Grainger came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. When he first arrived, he was very nervous, but he has made so much progress and is now showing us what a sweet boy he really is! He still has some barrier aggression in his kennel, but once he is out on a leash, he is a total sweetheart who loves attention. He can also be a very happy and energetic guy with plenty of playful energy! Grainger is still nervous around men, although he has warmed up to our male staff. He has not yet been tested with dogs or cats, so slow introductions will be important. He also gets nervous when left alone and will need to be crated when unsupervised. Grainger is looking for an adults-only home with no children where his family can be patient and give him the time he needs to feel comfortable. And while he isn't a fan of baths, we think he's pretty perfect otherwise! Grainger is heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. He has come such a long way and is ready to find a patient family who will continue helping him come out of his shell.
