Story
Do you KNOW and love the husky breeds? Are you a single-dog kind of person, with no desire for other animals in your life? Elfie could be the perfect dog for you! Husky experience, and love of the classic sassiness that the breed exemplifies, is a requirement for her next home. Elfie came to us when her prior home was not a good match for her because she is not good around other animals. She`s done well with humans, but this small package has a high prey drive, and should not be around other animals. She did not do well meeting other dogs in her prior home, and while with us she has also made it clear she does not want dog friends, so we are looking for a home where she can be the only animal.Elfie would do best with older kids (teenagers and up), and likes to cuddle, on her terms. She relaxes nicely in a crate, as long as there are no other animals around, and enjoys couch time getting belly rubs.Elfie is smart as a whip, and really enjoys learning new things with force-free training. She has a bit of the typical husky aloofness, but is also very attentive to the people she loves.A consultation with our Behavior Specialist is included in Elfie`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Elfie.

Story
Meet Farrah! This little girl is about a year old, only 25 pounds (travel size!), and full of ENERGY. She’s super sweet, spunky, and smart. Farrah loves to RUN and needs lots of exercise to help her get that wild energy out. After a good play session in the yard doing zoomies, a hike, or a nice swim, Farrah loves to cuddle up on the couch, and gives the best snuggles. Farrah is curious about cats, she is ok inside the house with them (with some guidance from her foster parents) , but will chase them outdoors. She is crate trained and happily eats all her meals there, and naps and sleeps in her crate without a peep. This special girl is looking for a home where she will get lots of exercise, and continued training. Farrah can be a bit nervous meeting new people, but warms up quickly with a little encouragement from her foster family. Due to get high energy levels, a home with another dog of similar age and energy will be best. If Farrah would be a good fit for your family, fill out an application at pottersangelsrescue.org/adopt.

Story
Elsa is a gorgeous Husky with a heart full of love and energy to match! This playful girl is incredibly smart, eager to please, and already crate and leash trained. She’s the perfect mix of spirited and obedient—ready to run, play, and then settle in for a car ride (which she loves). Elsa is very people-friendly and thrives on attention and companionship. With her outgoing personality and loyal nature, she’ll make a fantastic addition to an active home that appreciates the intelligence and enthusiasm Huskies bring. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate, and fun-loving best friend, Elsa is your perfect match. Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2380668##
