Kodiak is settling into foster care and we're learning more about him every day. ❤️ What we know so far? He loves people, enjoys treats, and is surprisingly quiet for a Husky. After spending much of his life on a chain, many things are still new to him, and we're giving him the time, patience, and support he deserves as he adjusts to life as a beloved companion. Stay tuned as Kodiak continues to discover the world—and we continue to discover the wonderful dog he is. 🐾

Story
Tex’s story is one that’s hard to forget. He was found abandoned on the side of the road in the pouring rain with nothing but a bucket of food and water left beside him. No warm bed, no comforting voice, no family coming back for him… yet through it all, Tex has remained nothing but gentle, loving, and hopeful. Despite being let down by people, this sweet boy still greets the world with kind eyes, a wagging tail, and a heart full of love to give. He leans into affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for someone to finally choose him. Tex gets along well with other dogs and didn’t seem interested in cats, making him an easy companion for many homes. More than anything, he’s searching for a family who will show him what forever truly means — a soft place to sleep, a safe home, and people who will never leave him behind again. After everything he’s been through, Tex deserves his happy ending. Could you be the one to give this beautiful soul the fresh start he’s been waiting for? Story
This sweet, quiet 11-year-old 44lb female is a low impact pet who will help get you out of the house as she adores walking. She is not a "player", as she does not care about balls, frisbees or any toy. She just sleeps when not outside, and will walk with you in any weather. She is reliably house-trained, up-to-date on vaccines (3 year rabies update in June) and surprisingly good with cats once they get acquainted. She's a good companion to retired folks who can get out for walks three or more times a day for exercise and exploring, and good with kids and strangers. Curious about other dogs and people she meets, but with a 5-second attention span. (Ready to keep walking after a brief "hi!"). Reacts excited around reactive dogs, but loses interest if you keep walking. A large fenced yard could be an alternative to frequent walks, as she likes being outside and has the Husky tendency to wander if off-lead. Can travel for Meet&Greet VT, NH, NY. Fee waived for Senior-to-Senior adoption.

Story
There is just something about Rocco Socco that makes people immediately go, “aww I love him.” He has this calm, distinguished gentleman energy about him that is honestly so refreshing and easy to love. Not chaotic, not attention-seeking, not bouncing off the walls trying to entertain everyone every second of the day. Rocco is more of the “cool guy sitting quietly in the corner somehow becoming everyone’s favorite without even trying” type LOL. He’s mellow, gentle, ridiculously handsome, and carries himself with this quiet confidence that makes him feel oddly regal. The type of dog that happily hangs out nearby while you go about your day, casually supervises the household like the king he believes he is, and somehow makes a home feel calmer just by existing in it. He’s truly a comforting, easy boy to be around. Watch his video and fall in love with this regal gentleman: https://youtu.be/tw4U9XUvW3U?si=CMlW_QZaznkj-8qy Rocco Socco is believed to be a Husky mix approximately 5 years old and currently weighs 68 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One of the best things about Rocco is how naturally easy he is to live with. He’s not one of those dogs that constantly needs to be entertained every second of the day or is bouncing off the walls 24/7. He’s more of that low-to-medium energy, go-with-the-flow type of guy that is just happy being included in whatever life looks like that day. Going for a walk? Great. Hanging out in the backyard while you do chores? Also great. Laying on the couch watching movies all night? Honestly probably one of his favorite activities LOL. He has really nice house manners, walks easy on leash, and just has this calm respectful way about him that makes him such an enjoyable dog to have around. He brings such a peaceful energy into a home without being boring or shut down. He just feels easy. When it comes to making four-legged friends, Rocco has shown that he is much more of a calm, respectful gentleman than the life-of-the-party type. He has gotten along well with dogs of all sizes, from tiny little pups to bigger dogs his own size, but he’s definitely more of a “happy to coexist” kind of guy rather than a nonstop wrestler. Rocco is also currently fostered in a multi-dog household and has gotten along well with all of the other dogs in the home. Rocco appreciates other dogs that match his chill energy and understand the art of simply hanging out together without needing to constantly be in each other’s business. Honestly, the way he carries himself is like a mixture of Rico Suave and the wise older gentleman of the group LOL. He’d absolutely enjoy having another calm dog in the home to lounge around with, but he’s also perfectly content being your one-and-only spoiled prince too. Whether he’s part of a pack or flying solo, Rocco’s main priority is keeping life low-stress, cozy, and comfortable for everyone involved. Rocco is already such an easy guy to live with and comes with so many wonderful qualities that make the transition into a home feel smoother. He already knows commands like sit, down, and shake, walks nicely on leash, is crate trained, and is potty trained too. He has a naturally calm, quiet demeanor in the home and really just settles into everyday life so easily. Energy-wise, Rocco is beautifully balanced and very adaptable. He’s happy to join you for walks, hang out outside, run errands, or simply lounge around while you go about your day, but he’s definitely not the “let’s go train for a marathon” type either LOL. Rocco’s dream home is somewhere that matches his laidback, go-with-the-flow personality. While he’d definitely enjoy a backyard to wander around, sniff the breeze, and casually supervise the neighborhood like the regal little king he is, his calm demeanor also makes him a great fit for apartment or condo living. He’s not easily rattled, not overly demanding, and honestly just seems happy being wherever his people are. Rocco has this effortlessly cool presence about him where he naturally settles into the home and acts like he’s lived there forever within a matter of days. He’s the kind of dog that brings a peaceful, easy energy into a home without even trying. We are willing to test Rocco Socco with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. Story
Who doesn’t love a fun, loving, full of life Husky that instantly puts a smile on your face because he just seems so happy all the time?! Well, say hello to Sid Smitty Truly the dog version of a human exclamation point. He has this contagious, feel-good energy about him that makes being around him so much fun. From what we’ve seen so far, Sid Smitty genuinely seems happiest when he’s included in whatever is going on. Hanging out with people? Amazing. Playing with dog friends? Best day ever. Getting attention and affection? Absolutely yes. He’s been incredibly sweet with everyone he’s met and has this way of melting right into you for love like he’s known you forever. What makes him extra special though is that he really seems to have the best of both worlds personality-wise. He can be playful, goofy, and full of silly Husky fun one minute, then perfectly content cuddling up beside you soaking in affection the next. He’s also done great around kids and overall just gives off that “life is more fun when this dog is around” kind of vibe. Watch his video and fall in love with this guy: https://youtu.be/0fXkEOavbus?si=kyyQdMDCbkOvIRgU Sid Smitty is believed to be a Husky mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 59 lbs. Which seems like a big number on paper and when you’re reading it. He is a big dog but he’s more legs, height and fluff than he is poundage. And as if Sid wasn’t already unique enough, this boy has one random little black spot right in the middle of his tail like someone accidentally booped him with a paintbrush and decided, “yep, perfect, leave it.” It’s such a silly little detail but somehow makes him even cuter and gives him so much character. Like his tail needed its own beauty mark or something LOL. If you watched his video then you saw his interactions around a 2 year old. Sid was honestly SO sweet with her and seemed genuinely happy just being included in all the little moments and chaos. Right away he was confidently going up to her while she was swinging a cat toy around everywhere, following her around curiously, and just happily existing in the middle of all the action. He wasn’t bothered by whining, crying noises, or unpredictable toddler energy at all. And despite being a goofy Husky boy with basically zero spatial awareness LOL, he was naturally very gentle with her. One of the sweetest moments was when they were both up on the couch together and Sid completely melted into her, like fully laid on her like a giant fluffy weighted blanket just soaking up the cuddles. It was one of those moments where everyone in the room was like “okay wait… this is ridiculously cute.” Based off what we’ve seen, he really seems to have a lot of potential to make a super fun, affectionate family dog in the right home. With other dogs, Sid has done great with all of the dogs we have introduced him to. He has been with dogs ranging in sizes (some as small as 8lbs) and personalities. From what we have seen, Sid gravitates towards playful dogs like himself the most. And when he does find a playmate, he truly shines. Consistent of games of chase, wrestling matches, and if you know shepherds, then you know they like to throw paws and love mouthy type play. In a home, he would do great with a fun, happy, confident female that likes to play, enjoys rowdy play and also a dog that appreciates the calmer hangout moments too. If you don’t have other dogs that’s fine too. We believe Sid could be just as happy being the center of your attention. Sid also met our house cat Biggie and appeared to be just as friendly with him as he is with dogs. Almost as if Biggie was another pal to play with. Biggie is very dog savvy and is comfortable around dogs and will even play with dogs he is comfortable with. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Yes, Sid can be a super fun, active, adventurous guy but he also has a calm side as well. He has had no problem making himself feel right at home and will lay right on top of you if you let him. Who doesn't love GSD snuggles?! He seems to already have some level of understanding that play time is an outside luxury and has good house manners. Though, he has shown that he is comfortable with couch cuddles and may attempt to sneak a snack or too off tables LOL. He hasn’t done it yet, but with his love for food and the advantage of being on the taller side. A small plate of your leftovers might be really tempting for him. Sid has enjoyed playing with toys, in particular rope toys and toys that he can play tug with. He also likes to play with balls too! In all honesty, we believe he would like playing with any kind of toy if that means you’re engaging in the play too. From what we have seen, Sid isn’t play play play 24/7. A little fun outdoors with his doggy friends or backyard play sessions with people, Sid will be prepped and ready for snuggles. Not feeling snuggly? That’s fine. He has been really good about finding a cozy spot on the floor and settling in with his favorite toy and is perfectly content doing his own thing. We are willing to test Sid Smitty with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Soft, sweet, and quietly stealing hearts everywhere she goes… Amora is the kind of dog you bring home and she just fits right in. You will quickly be wondering how you ever lived without her. Before you read another word, go watch Amora on YouTube and then come right back… seeing her gentle, loving nature in motion is what really makes her unforgettable. https://youtu.be/i3vJXkbvEGQ Amora is estimated to be about 8 months old and currently weighs around 40 lbs. She looks like a shepherd mix, but you know, rescue rules apply, so her exact breed and birthday are our best guess. What we do know for sure is that she is something really special. She’s being fostered in a loving home where she’s living peacefully with small dogs and cats, and she moves through life with this soft, respectful, easygoing energy that makes everything feel easy. Her foster shares that she is both house trained and crate trained, which is always a dream start, but it’s her temperament that really sets her apart. Amora has a gentle approach to everything. She doesn’t rush into things or overwhelm the room. She takes it all in, meets the moment with kindness, and leans into affection in the sweetest, most natural way. She loves to be close, loves to connect, and carries herself with a quiet warmth that just draws you in. This girl can truly go anywhere. Apartment? Perfect. Doggy Daycare? Yes! A home with a yard? She’ll love it. A more laid-back household or one with a little bustle? She’ll adapt beautifully. She’s already shown us how well she coexists with all size dogs, cats, and her easygoing nature makes her such a natural addition to a multi-pet home. Amora isn’t here to make things complicated. She’s here to be your soft place to land at the end of the day, your easy companion, your steady little pal with the kindest heart. If your looking for a dog who will bring a sense of calm, love, and quiet joy into your life… Amora is your girl and she is ready and waiting!
