Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Doogan – The Pocket-Sized Husky with a Big Heart! Say hello to Doogan! This short-legged sweetheart might be small in size, but he’s got a huge personality and an even bigger smile. His big, toothy grin might look a little intimidating to strangers — but don’t be fooled! Once you see that happy butt wiggle, you’ll know it’s pure joy. Doogan LOVES people. Belly rubs? Yes, please. Cuddles on the couch? Absolutely. He can be a little “extra” when asking for attention (his paw taps can be strong!), but he’s just trying to make sure you notice how adorable he is. He’s also a pro at playing with toys, rolling in the dirt, and generally being the funniest little dude around. Now, let’s talk about his doggie manners — Doogan wasn’t well-socialized as a puppy, so he sometimes gets uncomfortable around other dogs. He may snap when he’s unsure, and while he’s lived with other pups, it’s stressful for him. Because of that, he’d be happiest as your one-and-only dog. He can warm up to canine friends over time (usually a few months), but his new family should be patient and understanding. On the bright side — Doogan is great with cats and totally ignores them, and he’s gentle with kids too. Doogan might be small, but he’s got a heart full of love and loyalty waiting for the right person. If you’re looking for a quirky, cuddly, one-of-a-kind companion who’ll make you smile every day, Doogan might just be your guy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Follow Bishop’s progress on our social media accounts as he continues his healing journey! He was found on the roadside crushed and broken, with internal bruising and injuries to his pelvis that left us unsure of his survival. 24 hours of emergency care, and several days of intensive care at a vet hospital were required, but we see him thriving and prospering in a foster home now. FHO surgery was required, and he is now walking like a trooper and wishing he could run line his foster sisters! A follow-up to the surgeon is scheduled for the first week in December. Bishop is ready for a new beginning, and looks forward to a wonderful life very soon.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
