Mya is doing great and officially ready to start her next chapter. Shes steadily gaining weight and just needs to be spayed and microchipped before heading to her forever home. This girl is a fun-loving, extremely social, talkative butterfly. She adores everyone she meets and loves to tell them all about it in true Husky style! She does wonderfully with other dogs and, so far, seems to be doing just fine with cats too. If youre looking for a dog with personality, love, and lots of happy conversations, Mya might be your girl. Apply to adopt and give Momma Mya the forever home she deserves! Adoption fees are $350 unless otherwise stated. Senior dog adoption fees are $200. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter. Zumiez here was found wandering all on her own in the road, and now she's looking for her forever home! She's a very sweet girl who will even give you kisses when you're petting her. Since she is a husky, she'll need regular grooming to keep her fur all fluffy and clean. She was very good for her brushing session here at the shelter though! Zumiez really perked up around other dogs, so she would probably like having a companion at home to spend time with. She seemed to prefer calmer friends that will give her her space when she requests it. The Virginia Beach area has seen it`s share of wintery mix lately but don`t let that stop you from meeting our sweet and warm hearted, Icicle. She is a young husky shepherd mix that is estimated to be about 8 months old. She was a transfer from a partner shelter after she had to be surrendered. Icicle lived with 11 other dogs and she has missed out on some important socialization and confidence building which will need work in her future home. We are requiring children in the home be 6+ and for any resident dogs to do a meet and greet prior to adoption. Adopters should be prepared for potty training, crate training, socialization, and lots of confidence building. We know this sweet girl will make a great companion she just needs a little help to get her there. If you would like to visit with her or any of our other available canines please speak with kennel staff.
