To learn more about Jackie, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Jackie will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Meet Jackie, a husky mix with a built-in compass and a heart of gold! This 4-year-old beauty is a fluffy bundle of charm with a wonderfully chill vibe—proof that you can have husky looks with an easygoing personality. She’s friendly, confident, and loves getting out to explore, whether she’s strolling the neighborhood or mapping out her own scenic route. Jackie is a dream on leash and a joy to walk—she sets a happy, brisk pace, enjoys a good sniff, and takes direction with ease. She’s friendly with people, calm around other dogs, and knows her sit like a pro. Gentle with treats and happy to soak up pets, Jackie is equal parts curious explorer and laid-back cuddle companion. With her adventurous spirit and relaxed demeanor, Jackie would make a fantastic walking, hiking, or exploring buddy—and she’s just as happy winding down with her people afterward. If you’re looking for a loyal, lovely, and naturally trail-blazing companion, Jackie is ready to lead the way straight into your heart!

Story
Name: Bishop Age: 1 year Breed: Husky/Collie mix Size: 55 lbs Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Meet Bishop! Bishop was actually born here at our shelter in Mississippi after his mom was picked up as a stray. He was adopted out when he was a tiny pup but due to his owner financial and living situations changed, she had to surrender him back to us. This sweet guy is quite laid back and adjusts well to new things. His owner did let us know that Bishop is potty and kennel trained. He gets along well with other dogs, kids, and even cats. He would make a great addition to any family. Bishop is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and is heartworm negative. If you want to know more about him, please contact us here at the Humane Society of South Mississippi. Bishop's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports! --> If you are interested in adopting Bishop please fill out our online application here: (https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 - Dog). A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. No fenced in yard required, and YES - we adopt to families with children! The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. For further information, please first fill out the application referenced above. **Due to import regulations we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.
