Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story

Luke is a sweet, loving dog with a full pedigree and up-to-date vaccinations. He has always been gentle and playful with people and adults alike. Luke went through an incredibly difficult period all at once — he was neutered, then we spent an entire month living in a hotel because our landlord needed to renovate our home, and then we moved to a new place. All of this happened in a very short time, creating an enormous amount of accumulated stress for him. During this difficult period, he escaped the yard while chasing ducks at a lake, completely overstimulated by the animals in front of him. In that moment of extreme excitement and stress, he nipped once — and immediately looked at us with remorse, as if he knew what he had done. He had never done anything like this before in his life, and we truly believe it was a direct result of everything he had been through. We cry because we wish we could keep him since we have babies. Luke does not deserve to go to a shelter but a lovely family.

Ameracauna is a 16-week-old male husky mix with striking icy blue eyes and an affectionate personality. He’s a sweet cuddle companion who loves being close to his people and settles in nicely for naps after playtime! Like most puppies his age, he’s currently teething and enjoys having plenty of chew toys to keep him busy. He’s a great eater and looks forward to mealtime, making training opportunities even more rewarding. Ameracauna is doing well with potty and crate training and continues to make steady progress each day. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and would enjoy a canine companion, but he would also do well as the center of attention in his new home! He is learning to feel comfortable around children and benefits from gentle, positive interactions that help build his confidence. With continued guidance, patience, and love, Ameracauna will grow into a loyal and well-adjusted companion. He is getting along with other dogs in his foster home and doing great with potty training! He loves to play but is very manageable! Luka would be a great dog for a family, a couple, or a single person. A husky does require exercise so we recommend regular play dates and brain games or safe chews, like beef cheeks, while at home! We are still waiting for Luka’s neuter date. We are currently accepting applications for Luka. His adoption cannot be finalized until he is neutered but you can foster to adopt.
