Meet Lucy! This sweet, smart and affectionate girl is ready to find her people! Lucy has great leash manors and does great on long casual walks, making sure to take in all the smells! She loves to be outside and can entertain herself, but she prefers when her people are with her. She has done well with dogs similar sized to her and may do well living with another dog. Lucy's favorite thing in the world is being with her humans, including children! She is affectionate, gentle and loyal. If you're interested in meeting Lucy, stop by the RHSPCA today!

Story
Meet Nicki! 🐾🖤 Nicki is a 7-year-old female Husky with a big personality and an even bigger heart! She is a happy, silly girl who loves to make her presence known—especially in the mornings. While you’re getting ready for the day, Nicki will happily “talk” to you and tell you all about her plans and what she has in store! Her absolute favorite toys are anything that squeaks. If it makes a squeaky noise, Nicki is interested! She is very dog-friendly and loves having furry friends, although she can be a little shy when meeting someone new. Once she warms up, her sweet personality shines through. Nicki has a vision impairment, but she certainly doesn’t let that slow her down. She loves going for walks, playing fetch, exploring her surroundings, and, of course, getting plenty of cuddle time with her people. Nicki is a wonderful reminder that having a disability doesn’t mean missing out on life. She is playful, loving, goofy, and full of joy—and she is always ready for her next adventure. 🖤🐾

Story
Meet Sampson! 🐾🖤 Sampson is a 3-year-old Husky with the sweetest soul and an incredible zest for life. His journey didn’t start out easy—he spent the beginning of his life living outside, and he came to us carrying the effects of a previous injury that resulted in a neurological condition affecting his back legs. Sampson walks with a little wobble, but don’t let that fool you—it doesn’t slow this boy down one bit! He loves to run in the mornings, go hiking, explore new places, and enjoy every adventure life has to offer. But as much as Sampson loves adventure, he also knows how to relax. His favorite place to be is curled up on the couch with his people, soaking up all the love and cuddles he can get. He also absolutely loves playing with other dogs. And when we say Sampson is sweet, we mean the sweetest. He has never met a human or a dog he didn’t like. His friendly, gentle nature makes him the kind of dog who seems to love everyone he meets. After such a rough start, Sampson is finally getting to experience what every dog deserves—a warm couch, loving people, furry friends, adventures, and a life filled with happiness. Sampson may have a little wobble in his step, but nothing can stop his heart from moving forward. 🖤🐾

Story
Coco is a sweet girl that we rescued 3 years ago, we took her in from an elderly neighbor who could no longer care for her. She loves people and other dogs, and she loves being active! We love Coco and all of her quirks (she loves to talk and make “husky” noises!) but she has strong husky instincts as well, including some resource guarding of food and stuffed toys. When adults are in the room, she keeps her resources guarding in check, but if left unsupervised she can sometimes snap at another dog or small child who doesn’t respect her space. The reason we are rehoming is because we are expecting a baby in November and want to make sure both Coco and the baby are protected and respected and don’t want to risk an accident. We would like someone with experience with Huskies and/or resource guarding to take her in, preferably in a home without small children. The rehoming fee is just to make sure someone is dedicated to loving and caring for her like we have. She is a good girl!
