Story
Even if you missed the recent phenomenon, you can bring home your own Eclipse! This one is a 5 year old female husky who would love to join your home. She is super easy to walk on the leash, loves (LOVES!) attention from the staff and volunteers and appears dog friendly based on her on leash behavior. She came to us underweight but is putting on those pounds (at least one of those I can claim from the treats!). Eclipse may need altered before going home, but applications an still be accepted. If you are interested, you can fill out an application online at https://www.hsop.org/copy-of-adoption-application * Please note that PetFinder Inquiries do not count as applications, and we often do not see them. Story
This is Smokey he is a Siberian Husky. He is an absolutely sweet boy but was kept as an outdoor dog before I adopted him and has a lot of socialization problems. He is dog selective. He would need to meet your dog before adopting. Absolutely no cats. He has a high prey drive. He would do best in a home with no small children, older kids are fine he just doesn’t like to be sat or stepped on. He was not house broken when we got him but we have been working with him and he is just about there. I need to find him a new home because my 3 year old daughter stresses him out and he doesn’t get along with my male dog anymore.

Story
Apollo was surrendered to the shelter on January 22, 2024. He had been living outside on a chain with no shelter. His owners lied claiming he was a stray but in fact he belonged to them. He was not cared for well or loved much. He's a sweet guy with lots of energy and love to give his humans. Would do best in an adult home or with older children as he does like to jump on you and mouth your arms some. He just needs a bit of training and understanding. He is available with an approved application. Apollo is neutered and up to date. Adoption fee is $150.00

This dapper, older gentleman is Neko. He is 14 years old and was surrendered to the shelter because one of his owners passed away and the other is unable to care for him. Neko is a wonderful boy.
