Story
Apollo was surrendered to the shelter on January 22, 2024. He had been living outside on a chain with no shelter. His owners lied claiming he was a stray but in fact he belonged to them. He was not cared for well or loved much. He's a sweet guy with lots of energy and love to give his humans. Would do best in an adult home or with older children as he does like to jump on you and mouth your arms some. He just needs a bit of training and understanding. He is available with an approved application. Apollo is neutered and up to date. Adoption fee is $150.00

Story
This pair of handsome explorers (Marco and Polo) were on an unauthorized expedition (unbeknownst to their family) when they were picked up on State Route 26 in Washington County Ohio by a Good Samaritan and brought to the safety of our shelter on March 3, 2024. Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Polo (pictured on the left) is a 2-1/2 year old male Husky. He has a tan-and-white thick medium haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with blue eyes, a liver-colored nose, and large erect ears. Polo is the smaller of the duo and weighs 54.4 lbs. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Cadince Bibbee for accompanying Polo for his photo session. Polo has a super friendly personality and is full of playful puppy-like energy. Marco (pictured on the right) is a 2-1/2 year old male Husky. He has a darker tan-and-white medium haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable face with blue eyes, a liver-colored nose, and large erect ears. Marco is the larger of the pair and weighs 81.4 lbs. Thanks to HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech Jared Nash for accompanying Marco for his photo session. Marco was quickly 'sitting pretty' for Jared and obeying his every command. Marco is super friendly as well as playful. Marco and Polo will be held for three days so that their family will have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Surely someone is frantically searching for these majestic boys. UPDATE: Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for Polo and Marco. Marco went home with a foster family on March 23, 2024 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered. Marco was neutered on April 2, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. Polo is still in our shelter and available for adoption.

Story
Polo is a handsome 2-1/2 year old male Husky who was brought to the HSOV on March 3, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who had picked him up on State Route 26 in Washington County. Polo was accompanied by another male Husky (Marco). Apparently these two explorers were on an unauthorized expedition (unbeknownst to their family). Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Polo has a tan-and-white thick medium haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful face with pale blue eyes, a liver-colored nose, and large erect ears. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Cadince Bibbee for accompanying Polo and helping him with his photo session. Polo has a super friendly personality and is full of playful puppy-like energy. Polo is the smaller of the duo and weighs 54.4 lbs. Polo and Marco will be held for three days so that their family will have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Polo and Marco appear to be very bonded with each other. Story
Skye is a beautiful 3-year old female Husky who was brought to the HSOV on March 6, 2024 along with her four 6-week old puppies (Ember, Mira, Nani, and Odin). They were also accompanied by a handsome male Plott Hound (Rocky). This little family (and Rocky) were reportedly found in the Vincent, Ohio area at the Barlow Fairgrounds. Skye has a stunning gray/black/white medium-haired coat, a long tail, and a classic Husky face with a white mask, dark blue eyes, a black button nose on her long slender muzzle, and large erect ears. Skye raised her babies in a quiet area of our shelter where they had their very own mini-apartment. Skye was a good momma who knew when to discipline her youngsters and when to join in their silly puppy games to teach them to play and enjoy life. We had taken first photos of Skye and her babies on March 7th and a few family group pictures on March 19th when the puppies were beginning to explore their 'home' and were learning to play. Skye was separated from her puppies in early April 2024 after they were weaned, and Skye was ready to begin the next chapter of her life. These updated glamour photos of Skye were taken on April 23, 2024 when HSOV Kennel Tech Emily Beaver spent time with Skye for outdoor pictures (and playtime). True to her Husky ancestry, Skye is full of playful energy and took the opportunity to do zoomies around Emily to celebrate her out-of-kennel freedom. Skye has a happy, outgoing personality. She is very energetic on a leash. Skye was extremely underweight and a very skinny girl when she entered our shelter. Skye weighed just 25 lbs on March 6th, so she has been making up for lost time (with regard to meals). Our kennel techs have faithfully kept her on a 3-meal a day feeding schedule. Skye is looking terrific these days though she still maintains a fairly slim trim physique. Each of her four puppies (Ember, Mira, Nani and Odin) are now in foster homes with families who plan to adopt them after they are spayed/neutered. Skye will be spayed in the near future and will soon be ready to find a fabulous home of her very own. Skye could be fostered with an approved HSOV adoption/foster application.

Story
Nani is a beautiful female Husky mix puppy who was brought to the HSOV on March 6, 2024 along with her three siblings sisters (Ember, Mira, and Odin) and her mother (Skye). They were also accompanied by a handsome male Plott Hound (Rocky). Nani and her siblings were tiny 6-week old babies at that time. This little family was reportedly found in the Vincent, Ohio area at the Barlow Fairgrounds. This little playgirl has a black-and-brown short smooth coat , a long tail, and an adorable puppy face with tan eyebrows, a black button nose on her slender muzzle, and large erect ears. Nani and her sisters/brother were raised by their mother Skye in a quiet area of our shelter where they had their very own mini-apartment, and Skye was a good momma who knew when to discipline them and when to join in their silly puppy games to teach them to play and enjoy life. These baby photos of Nani were taken on March 7, 2024. She weighed 2.5 lbs that day. Nani has a sweet, innocent puppy personality. Nani went home with a foster family on April 12, 2024 who plans to adopt her after she is spayed. We didn't have a chance to take her 'big girl' photos before she left for her new home. Nani's siblings (Ember, Mira, and Odin) are also in foster-to-adopt homes. Her mother (Skye) is still looking for a fabulous home.
