Story
Vanilla Ice is a sweet boy with big energy! Vanilla is ready to find his new home. He was returned to SWCHS due to not enjoying being with cats. He found them more of a play toy than a compatible roommate. Vanilla Ice is looking for a home that can be active and stimulate his mind through exercise and enrichment. He would do well in a home with children that are respectful and a bit older as Vanilla is just over 70 pounds of pure excitement. If you are interested in adopting Vanilla Ice, please fill out application at the link below: https://www.swchs.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi! I'm Timberlan!I'm a really mellow guy looking for my forever home! I do well with other dogs that want to have fun and run around with me! I don't seem to have the typical husky energy so if you're looking for a husky but not the "intense" personality, that usually comes with the breed, I'm perfect for you! I walk well on a leash, love tennis balls, and overall am a wonderful dog! If you're interested in me, I'd love to get to know you over a meet and greet!

Story
Woof. The name's Mumford and I'm what they call a straight shooter. I'm not going to sugarcoat it- I've been let down by humans before and I never planned on doing this whole shelter thing again but here I am. I guess the way I look at it, you can either get down on yourself or get over it so here's to moving on. I'm a high energy and playful dude, once known for hanging loose in California. I like a dog who can match my vibe but I may not be for every dog, if you know what I'm sayin'. I haven't paid too much attention to cats in the shelter setting and I'll never turn down a tasty treat or some hot laps in the yard. I'm ready for adventure and forever, does that sound good to you?

Story
Name: Tethys (T) Age: 9 months  Breed: Husky mix Gender: male Weight: 40 Good with kids: unsure as he is skiddish, but will evaluate once more comfortable Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unsure Current on vaccinations: yes Fixed: yes Foster location: Wisconsin Rapids  Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption fee: $400 Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork.   Bio: Tethys has made is way north to find his forever family. He arrived 2/24 and had quite a hard trip. He was scared, shut down and absolutely terrified. Being taken away from his siblings and mom had to be frightening enough, but T also is very shy. While at the shelter/kennel in Texas with his siblings it took everyone else a day or 2 to settle in, but T took a week or 2. When his siblings left he had to be moved back in with his mom, Roxy for comfort. The hope from the rescue in Texas was that once in a home environment his transition would be easier and he could gain some confidence. His first 2 days at his foster home was mostly spent in his kennel and shaking. By day 3 he was hanging outside his kennel, but still on high alert. Wednesday morning was a brand new day for him, which started with playtime with a chew. Wednesday night he opened up even more and played with the fellow foster dog in the home. Each day he has grown a little bit and his confidence is starting to peak out. Going outside on the leash has been a challenge and he is learning where to potty and how to walk nicely on a leash. His foster home is fenced in, but building his confidence is the main goal at this point, so leash training is a priority. After 1 week in his foster home he finally was brave enough to walk the yard with his foster mom. He has a long road ahead of him, but already has shown improvement and we are confident he'll get there, just may take a little longer. All dogs need patience, kindness and understanding. We will continue to update Tethys' journey.   Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based rescue. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. Preapproval applications for future adoption are welcome.April 26, 2024, 9:41 am
