Story
Meet Arthur, a 2-year-old male who is looking for his brand-new beginning! Arthur came to us as a stray, but this brave boy isn`t letting his past hold him back. While he can be a little nervous in new situations at first, he warms up quickly once he knows he’s safe and comforted. Once he feels secure, Arthur’s true personality shines! He is a wonderfully silly, high-energy guy who loves to show his excitement for life. He isn`t particularly motivated by treats, but he more than makes up for it with his love for human affection. His absolute favorite thing is to lean his whole body right into you for some good, comforting head scratches and pets. Because Arthur arrived as a stray, we don`t have any background on how he feels about other dogs or cats, so slow and proper introductions will be key. He has met some children here and did quite well, though he can be a bit jumpy when he gets excited, so older or sturdy kids might be the best match for his bouncy personality. Arthur is completely ready to move right into your heart and home! He is neutered, already microchipped, dewormed, and fully up to date on his flea and tick preventatives. He is also fully vaccinated with all his core shots, including Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. If you`re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, come meet Arthur today! If you have any questions about Arthur or our adoption process, feel free to reach out at (920)-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org. You can also stop by during our open hours to take a look around.

Story
Lady is full of life and has SO much love to give 🩷🐾 This sweet girl will be celebrating her very first birthday in foster care, and her biggest wish is to finally find a forever family of her own. Lady’s perfect day includes: 🌭 Hotdogs & pup cups 🚗 Car rides with the music up 🧀 Collecting her “cheese tax” 🎾 Tug-of-war and endless playtime 🐕 Running around until she’s happily worn out Lady absolutely loves other dogs and gets so excited to play. Dog park days are definitely her thing! She’s also a smart girl who responds well to commands and training. Plus, she’s kennel trained and potty trained 🙌 She does well with kids, but because she’s still young and full of energy, she’d likely do best with older kiddos rather than toddlers.

Story
I am looking for a compassionate and loving home for my senior Siberian Husky. This sweet boy has been a loyal companion and deserves a peaceful and loving environment to enjoy his golden years. He is a temperate boy who is gentle, calm and affectionate. House trained and well mannered. Took Mako in approximately one year ago to help his owner out while they looked for a new home. Was supposed to be for a few weeks but things didnt work out and owner cannot take him back. He's a good dog I just can no longer care for him and wasn't prepared to be his forever home. Mako gets along with my cats (I have 3) chasing them occasionally for fun. Only issue I have is he occasionally pulls on his leash when being walked which should not be a problem with the right collar. He turned 9 on June 19th of 2025

When he first arrived, I thought he was much older and that he would be a hospice case. He was stiff and frozen in fear and skinny. He would barely move. I put him in a kennel with younger dogs and he soon found his youthful spirit again and is like a different dog now. I don't know his age for sure but he has lots of life and happiness left in him and I think he is younger than 8. He weighs about 60 lbs now. He learned how to climb out of the 6 ft chain link kennel but he doesn't stray far from it except to follow me on walks. He goes down the pond to take a dip but mostly just hangs out by the kennel. So while he has the skills of a husky to escape, he doesn't have the urge of a husky to run off and go explore. I don't even put him up when I leave because he doesn't go anywhere. He is great with other dogs but sometimes doesn't know how big he is so he wouldn't be good around scared little dogs. Not because he would hurt them, but because they might get scared of him. He is fine with my chihuahuas but they are very bossy and not scared of anything. For that reason, I also don't think he should be around cats. To be clear, he is not aggressive at all, he just tries to play with everything and with his size that just wouldn't work with a dog or cats that's scared of him. He is very food motivated and walks well on the leash as well. He is an awesome boy and I am glad he didn't die at the kill shelter. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Story
Meet Apollo: Your Personal Sunshine!Looking for a handsome, fun-loving companion to brighten your days? At 63 pounds, Apollo is a sturdy, happy-go-lucky boy with a heart twice his size. After his previous family moved, this pup has been living in foster care and is ready to find his permanent landing spot.Apollo hasn`t quite realized he’s a big boy yet, he firmly believes he is a lap dog. He truly loves being near his people and prefers to be right where the action is. Whether it’s `zoomies` in the yard or a weekend hike, Apollo is always down to move. He’s best suited for a home with teenagers who can match his bouncy energy without getting knocked over. He’d love a tolerant or high-energy dog sibling to `show him the ropes` and keep up with his playstyle, though he’d also be happy as your one-and-only. Apollo has shown positive interest in the cats in his foster home; but slow, careful introductions are a must.He is in the prime of his life for learning! He’s already making great strides with loose-leash walking, cooperative care (like nail trims), and polite manners. Apollo is a loyal, bright work-in-progress who just needs a lap big enough for his heart.Apollo is neutered and has received core vaccinations (bordetella, canine distemper, rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Apollo, reach out to us at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org.
