Story
Hey there I'm Red! I'm a young, handsome guy at 3 years old. I love going on walks, getting quality sniffy time in and working with puzzle toys. I'm really smart! I do know how to do an excellent "sit" but I'd love to learn more. I'm a typical husky who is more on the independent side. I can be a bit sensitive with touching around my face and neck so I'm looking for a family that will give me time to get comfortable. For that reason they think I would be best in a home with adults only or children in the older teens. I would not do good in a home with other dogs or cats. I would look soooo handsome in your next family photo! More like, OUR next family photo!

Story
Hello, I'm Jackson. I'm 7 years old and 75 pounds of handsome! I'm a nice guy who loves going on sniffy walks and playing fetch. I'm a great mix of fun and mellow. So I can go on adventures during the day but then just chill and binge some shows with you in the evening. I can be a bit shy at first and I do have some touch sensitivity so they think I'd be comfortable with older kids - maybe around teenagers. I would not do well in a home with other dogs. I've done ok with cats, but would need training and supervision at first. If you think we'd be a good match then start the adoption process by filling out an online application now!

Story
Name: Tethys (T) Age: 9 months  Breed: Husky mix Gender: male Weight: 40 Good with kids: unsure as he is skiddish, but will evaluate once more comfortable Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unsure Current on vaccinations: yes Fixed: yes Foster location: Wisconsin Rapids  Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption fee: $400 Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork.   Bio: Tethys has made is way north to find his forever family. He arrived 2/24 and had quite a hard trip. He was scared, shut down and absolutely terrified. Being taken away from his siblings and mom had to be frightening enough, but T also is very shy. While at the shelter/kennel in Texas with his siblings it took everyone else a day or 2 to settle in, but T took a week or 2. When his siblings left he had to be moved back in with his mom, Roxy for comfort. The hope from the rescue in Texas was that once in a home environment his transition would be easier and he could gain some confidence. His first 2 days at his foster home was mostly spent in his kennel and shaking. By day 3 he was hanging outside his kennel, but still on high alert. Wednesday morning was a brand new day for him, which started with playtime with a chew. Wednesday night he opened up even more and played with the fellow foster dog in the home. Each day he has grown a little bit and his confidence is starting to peak out. Going outside on the leash has been a challenge and he is learning where to potty and how to walk nicely on a leash. His foster home is fenced in, but building his confidence is the main goal at this point, so leash training is a priority. After 1 week in his foster home he finally was brave enough to walk the yard with his foster mom. He has a long road ahead of him, but already has shown improvement and we are confident he'll get there, just may take a little longer. All dogs need patience, kindness and understanding. We will continue to update Tethys' journey.   Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based rescue. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. Preapproval applications for future adoption are welcome.April 30, 2024, 9:25 am
