Archie is a beautiful 3 year old registered Jack Russell. He is house broken. He is a lovable boy, and is fantastic with children. He was attacked by another dog about a year ago. Before that he was great with other dogs. Now he is not good with strange dogs. He is so fun, and loves play fetch and splashing in water. Just want to find a loving home for him!!

Hershey just wants to be wherever his best friends are. Whether you're snuggled up on the couch or going on an adventure, Hershey's ready for anything. This playful pup's ideal day is filled with lots of warm cuddles, more than a few treats, and you by his side. Hershey also always sees the sweet side of life. Being with him reminds you about how magical the world can be. Hershey does well with other dogs and cats, but we have not yet seen him interact yet with children. Hershey came to POMDR after his guardian lost his job and pet-friendly housing.

Looks like: Jack Russell Terrier, Chihuahua mix Male, 13 years old (estimated), 15 pounds Walnut is pretty far from a tough nut to crack. This sweet, mellow pup is just looking for a soft place to land with a lot of love, treats, and belly rubs. Walnut's ideal day is a beach walk followed by a warm bed to cuddle up in, preferably with you in it, too. This homebody would be a great fit for someone who needs a pup by their side to remind them to stop and smell the roses. This little guy would do well in a home as the only apple of your eye or with other doggy siblings. However, we have not yet seen him interact with kitties or kiddos, so we'd want to make sure young children were respectful and interactions were monitored before making a match. Walnut needs to take medication for his heart condition and his eyes, but he takes them like a champ. He's currently working on his marking tendencies, and we'd be happy to share with you the tools for his continued success. Walnut does have some tumors that must be monitored and occasionally leak. This little guy is looking for love after being found as a stray and being brought to Hitchcock Road Animal Services.

This poor sweet little gentleman was getting bullied by some other dogs at the shelter and started to shut down. We're grateful that we were able to scoop him up to help him find that perfect landing spot where he will be bullied no longer! Bobby is looking for a home that can go at his pace, allowing him to open up in time and provide the nurturing he needs to come out of his shell. We can't wait to see him flourish once he has the love and care that he needs! We aren't sure quite yet how he is with kitties or children. Sweet Bobby came to us from Kern County Animal Services after they reached out to see if we could take him in to get him the care that he deserves.
