Crispin came to us a few months ago when someone tossed him over our 8 foot fence. We are looking for a home that has experience with the Jack Russell breed that knows their temperament. Crispin has some resource guarding of his bed so he needs a family that will know how to handle his personality. Crispin gets along with most dogs and is very loving and sweet. Meet our newest boy Crispin! We have only had him a short time, so far he has done well with other dogs at the shelter . We believe he is about 1.5-2 yrs old and weighs 12 lbs. Prior to discussing our dogs we will need you to complete the Preliminary Adoption Application on our homepage at www.henryhumane.com. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the animal. If your application is approved, one of our volunteers will contact you via phone or email. As with all our other pets please have an excellent verifiable vet history if you wish to be considered to adopt. Fenced yards are required for large dogs and some smaller active breeds. ADOPTIONS ARE LIMITED TO THE METRO ATLANTA AREA. Adoption Fee: $350.00. All of our dogs have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered and dewormed. All of our dogs are tested for heartworms and kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention while in our care. All dogs are microchipped with an Avid chip. All dogs are registered to their adopted parents at no additional charge

Mulley, 15, is an excellent co-pilot and wingwoman. She is up for anything and can walk laps around much younger dogs. She loves walks and shopping and smelling all the things and people and tucking herself in early each night, not necessarily in that order.The thing she truly loves most is being close to you. Mulley has been living in a foster home with our volunteer Tina @weltenbummler06 , who will happily answer your questions. Tina writes,"She is very easy in the house, sleeps a lot, is house trained and non destructive. I don't need to crate her at night, she either sleeps in her crate with the door open or on the couch or in one of her 2 dog beds. She doesn't bark in the apartment and can be left alone in her crate for up to 4 hours (no separation anxiety, she will take an extended nap while you are gone). "If you're looking for an active, adventurous senior, Mulley is magical.She was originally adopted from PAWS at 1 and then returned at 14 after a loss in her family. So, Mulley much prefers the comforts of home to the hustle of living in a loud shelter, which is no place for a senior.

We are also seeking a foster because she is currently located 2 hours away and someone in-town could facilitate more meet and greets. Patsy is best suited for a fenced yard, as she never learned to go potty on a leash. She does know to go outside, but will only do it if she's off-leash. Other than learning the ropes of leash time, she's a great gal with lots of love to give. Sweet Patsy was adopted once already but her mama died very unexpectedly and she returned to us. She misses having her dedicated mama time and would love to get back into a home who will spoil her. Age/DOB: 2-3 years old Weight: 30-35 lbs Good with other dogs? Wow!! Hi, I’m Bullwinkle. My brother, Rocky, and I had a very rocky start in life but things are looking good now! We were found as young puppies abandoned in a box with four more siblings up in Jackson County. Our mom was nowhere to be found, and we all had terrible cases of mange. The wonderful people at the county shelter took care of us for months and got us healthy and now we are ready for real homes. We are both 5-month-old Terrier mixes but we don’t look alike. I am the better-looking, taller, tan guy with the come hither-hound look. I am a little more shy than my brother but am warming up to all these nice people quickly. We just had our vetting and are eager to find families together (we love to play) or apart. Even though we have been neutered they say our brains have not been installed yet … because … puppies! We are learning about everything and are very curious. For some reason, people laugh and smile when they watch us. That’s OK with us as long as we get treats … yeah, we figured out treats are pretty darn good. I am UTD on my shots, microchipped, and neutered. I am very active and need a secure, above-ground fenced yard to keep me safe. I would probably be good with another dog or just by myself. I definitely need the training to be the best boy I can be but keep those treats coming and I will do a great job. Sprightly! That’s a great adjective for me. This Chi-Jack with my long legs is usually known as Hank Wiggles. I am 10 years young and an active senior who gets along with everyone and enjoys every day. I am up-to-date on my shots, neutered, microchipped, and have had a dental. Life has not been easy for me in the past, but you would never know that from my wonderful demeanor. I do have a grade 4 heart murmur, but there is no damage and I do not need any medication. I’m about 13 pounds of mellow fellow.
