Spike is a 10lb fun-loving terrier mix. His owner never showed up to reclaim him from Animal Control.  He was scared and timid at the shelter.  Once he arrived at the foster's home, he opened up with a ton of gratitude and personality.  He immediately became BFFs with Jack Frost.  They ran zoomies and chased each other all day long.  He is not house trained, but working on it.  Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. Hi, I am looking for a home for Mizzie. She has been with me for 4 years now, and has been the best addition to my home here in Georgia the entire time. She’s full of love and energy. She’s very clever and loves to play. She is house trained and also trained on and off leash when walking outside. Mizzie is probably the smartest dog I ever encountered. She understands everything said to her, it’s amazing. I wish I could bring her where I am moving to but unfortunately I cannot have pets there and I am running out of time finding her a home. I am not charging because this isn’t money grab. I just want my little baby to be placed somewhere decent please.

Story
Elvis (dog version!) is a very special, loving dog but I am leaving for military training at the end of March and will unfortunately need to find him a new home. Personality (good with children, other dogs, and cats; leash/crate trained; knows commands; housebroken; separation anxiety, etc.). Very gentle and loving. Good with people and loves kids. I've had a smaller dog he also gets along and plays with. Good with other dogs too and every once in a while he could bark at another dog but no aggression at all. Knows basic commands (sit, come back etc) and leash and bathroom trained (I have a backyard and a doggy door). Does fine on his own during the day but he is curious and being 70 pounds he can climb a smaller fence and want to explore. He wasn't really put in a crate since he's bigger and was potty trained.

Story
    Hello, my name is Linky West! I'm an 8 year old, 15 pound, rat terrier mix. I'm a spunky and sweet girl who is a bit shy and unsure at first, but I warm up eventually, especially if you have treats. I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy, and ready to find my new home!   I had a loving person, but sadly they passed away. I was left alone in an abandoned house with only my fur friends and the occasional visitor to feed me. It's not surprising that I am loving life in my foster home where I have nonstop human companionship and furry friendships. I even started playing with toys and they are so fun!   I live with four other dogs right now. My favorite is the big, shy one (I love him!) and my least favorite is the loud, obnoxious one (I hate him!). I also lived with cats in my last home. My favorite companion is my human though. Once I get to know you, I will ADORE you. Where you go, I go. I will sit on the couch with you and sleep in bed with you. Sometimes, I will show off my vocal capabilities, so my foster recommends no shared walls - apartments, condos, etc.   I am not a fan of collars, harnesses, or leashes - they scare me! I hope to get more comfortable with them after more time and practice, but for now, I need a securely fenced yard in my new home. I can be a bit of an escape artist, so anyone who adopts me will have to be careful to keep me safe and secure. I don't mind going in a crate for meal time, but I don't like going in one for extended periods of time. That's okay because I don't make mischief when left out to roam freely while home alone. One other awesome thing about me is that I'm house trained!   I'm really enjoying life in my foster home, but I can't wait to find my forever home!
