Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Georgi, the delightful 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Boston Terrier mix who's ready to steal your heart! Georgi is a bundle of joy who quickly settled into his foster home like he's been there forever. With leash and crate training already under his belt, he's a dream companion for walks or cozying up on your lap while you work. He's housebroken, though there might be some initial marking. Georgi interacted wonderfully with my granddaughters, aged 7 and 9, during their visit. However, I'm uncertain how he'd react to much younger children. Georgi is happiest when he's outdoors, whether he's exploring the neighborhood or enjoying playtime with other dogs. He'd be an ideal companion for jogging or any active pursuits.   Despite his occasional mischievous streak, Georgi is a quiet and easy companion who's sure to bring endless love and laughter into your home. If you're ready for a loyal and loving furry friend who's as adaptable as he is adorable, Georgi is the perfect match for you! Georgi is from Texas.  ** One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease. Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) program. Click here to learn more about this program. They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start’s partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments. Treatment will consist of three injections: the first will be roughly 30 days after they enter rescue. Then, the second and third injections will happen 30 days after the first. When they are undergoing treatment, they should be on activity ‘restrictions’ which just means they should relax in their crate or cuddle with you.   Click here to learn more about heartworm disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey there! I’m Khloe, a lovable ball of energy! I'm very smart and love to chew. I would consider myself an indoor dog, and would thrive in a cozy home where I can be part of the family. I am house trained and do just fine in a kennel where I sleep at night—I actually don’t mind it. You won’t hear a peep from me unless I’m outside and see or hear the neighbor dog… can you really blame me? Sometimes I can get a little too excited around cats. I mean well, I just always think they are up for a game of chase! I'm a submissive sweetheart when it comes to other dogs and enjoy running around with them. In terms of routine, I enjoy my morning potty breaks, breakfast, playtime, followed by some individual attention throughout the day. I also enjoy supervised playdates with other dogs! I love everyone! Big or small, I won’t hesitate to jump on your lap for some lovey-dovey time! I’m very food motivated, which makes me a quick learner! I’m currently working on sit, stay, down, and other simple commands. I could work on my leash training as well. My foster mom even thinks I would do great with agility training! While I love to be outside, my foster mom won’t leave me unsupervised too long because I like to dig. When I am indoors, I love to watch out the window and admire nature from inside… SQUIRREL!   Khloe is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
