Bodhi was born in March 2018, and we celebrate his birthday on March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day). He is about 8 years old. Before we adopted him, he was found as a stray on the streets of Alabama. We rescued him from Animal Humane Society in October 2018.Bodhi is incredibly smart and has completed both on- and off-leash training, which he excelled at. His favorite thing is walks and would happily walk for hours. He thrives with routine, structure, and confident, consistent adults. He loves praise, treats, and cozy blankets. He dislikes rain and baths but will tolerate them. For nail trims, we use tiny treats throughout.We want to be completely transparent about his behavior history. Bodhi has snapped at people around the entryway, nipped a friend’s dog over a treat, and most recently bit our young child out of fear. The bite broke the skin and drew blood.Bodhi needs a quiet, adult-only home with experienced owners, patience, structure, and ideally a securely fenced yard where he can run.

She loves other dogs and is submissive and friendly with new dogs. Juniper would do well with a fenced yard to run around in for playtime and someone who enjoys going for walks and taking her with on adventures. He is looking for a firm, adult-only home equipped to manage his training and behavioral needs long-term. **Home & Handler Requirements** * **Strictly Adult-Only & Calm Home:** No children or high-traffic households. He requires a highly predictable, quiet environment to keep his stress and arousal levels low. * **Previous JRT / Working Breed Experience:** Priority will be given to handlers experienced with Jack Russells or other high-drive, reactive breeds. * **Fenced Yard:** A secure, physical fence is required. * **Dog Profile:** Compatible only with patient, non-reactive dogs (preferably larger) that are confident enough to give persistent physical/behavioral corrections. Chase loves a high-energy game of tug, but his play manners are an active work in progress. **Behavioral & Management Profile** * **Arousal Management:** Chase’s arousal levels can escalate quickly and intensely. Max is a SUPER sweet 6 year old terrier mix with soulful eyes. He is 100% good boy. He was previously at the rescue as Max and has returned due to ZERO fault of his own as Davy. His family had a terrible tragedy and is unable to care for him anymore. He was so loved that he came to the rescue with his Christmas sweater and Halloween costume plus an entire bin of toys. Using both names, he appears to prefer Max but will respond to both. Max is a very friendly 25 lb guy. He loves meeting people and recently spent a full day at a disc golf tournament where he did wonderfully- didn't chase the disks and was chill even with his handler throwing. Max is calm and caring. He loves to snuggle and hang out. He loves hiking and walks well on a leash. He does well with older kids (foster has kids 9+) and is doing well with the foster family's 1 year old cavalier puppy. He is a little fearful of bigger dogs but it could be the transitions too. The foster son has been walking him a lot around their 2 acres and he does well with kids walking him. He has been sleeping well in his kennel at night and is doing ok in his kennel when needed but this current foster family is home all day so its been with his food or a lick mat. He rides well in the car in a crate or with harness and buckle. He is clever and food motivated so he would probably love to learn some tricks. We are working on shake currently. He knows the basics and is fully potty trained. If you are looking for an easy compact companion, Max is so much more than a pet and will elevate your life. Max would be a great pet for anyone. His best life would be with someone who works remotely and he can just chill all day with his person but he would also love a busy household that includes him in attending sports events or outdoor hangouts.
