Quick Facts: Age: 12 weeks Breed: Jack Russel, Chihuahua Size: expected to be less than 10 lbs Potty Trained: No General Patton and General Sherman came to us at three weeks old. They were the only survivors of their litter. Their mother died shortly after giving birth to five puppies. Puppies had to be bottle-fed, and three siblings passed away. He is very playful and loves to run around and explore. He can be pretty good at escaping… So the playpen needs to be secured. Not only does he like to play with his sibling, but dogs of all sizes. From 10 pounds up to 100 pounds. What General Patton loves to do best… is get all the loves from his people. He loves to snuggle up under your chin and nap for hours! They are not housetrained… However, he is good about using his pee pads in the play area. They are the typical puppies, they eat a bunch, poop a lot, play hard and sleep even harder. They are all working on their house-training skills but you can expect to have to train the one you adopt! They are not fully crate-trained, but they are quick learners. Puppies require training, so these babies are no different. We highly encourage enrolling in a training program to teach your new addition good manners and to help him or her be well socialized. Please remember puppies demand a lot of your time and pets are a commitment for life. Oh how Chase is just the most adorable Jack Russel/ Chihuaha mix! This love bug is 2yrs old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Chase is a very sweet boy and dog friendly. He would do better with dogs bigger than him. He loves to play with his foster buddy who's a Golden Retriever! Because he can play rough (typical Jack Russel) other little dogs might not like his play style. Chase is true to the Jack Russel breed with having a lot of energy. But once he gets some exercise he settles right down. We will require a fenced in yard for Chase so he can run around. Also, if you're a walker, that's a great way to get a dogs enery out! Peyton came to PAR from an extreme hoarding situation. He has come a long way and is slowly learning how to be part of a family. However, he is still very scared, quite skittish, and very submissive. He selectively plays with other dogs, but is cautious of dogs and people. Peyton will require a very patient adopter and special home to help him be the dog he can be.
