Story
If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl!  Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly.  She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love.  Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl.  She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods.  No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her.  As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best.  Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people.  We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides.  She is on the go and ready to love you!  Bonnie is your girl if you are checking all her boxes.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention where you live:  city and state.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we transport to the northeast on weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 11, 2025, 10:23 pm

Story
Meet Bernard – The Adorable Jack Tzu with a Heart Full of Hope   Little Bernard has had a bumpy start in life, but you’d never know it from the joy in his eyes and the spring in his step. This 1-year-old Jack Tzu (a perfect blend of Shih Tzu and Jack Russell) is ready to trade in the uncertainty of his past for the stability and love of a forever home.   Weighing in at just 11 pounds, Bernard is the perfect pocket-sized companion. He’s happy, energetic, and full of personality — he’ll even chase his own tail just to make you laugh. But don’t let his playful side fool you — this little guy has wonderful house manners, settles calmly in his crate, and walks beautifully on a leash. His soft white wiry coat is accented with camel-colored spots that match his custom harness — he’s as fashionable as he is lovable!   Bernard is:   Good with other dogs Friendly with people (he just needs a moment to warm up in new places) Great with children 8 and up Nearly potty trained and learning fast Knows commands like sit, stay, shake, and lie down     He’s not much of a fetcher, but he makes up for it in charm, cuddles, and curiosity. Bernard adores running in a fenced yard, and we’re looking for a home where he’ll have access to one — either a private yard or frequent dog park visits.   After being passed from home to home through no fault of his own, Bernard is looking for one thing: consistency and love. He deserves someone who won’t give up on him — a person, couple, or family who sees him for the loyal, joyful, loving companion he truly is.   Can you be the one to give Bernard the forever he’s been waiting for?   To adopt Bernard, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Include your city and state when reaching out. We can’t wait to help you meet this irresistible boy.   Bernard’s been passed around long enough — now it’s time for him to come home. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 14, 2025, 9:29 pm

Story
Meet Buddy!!Buddy thrives on physical activity and mental stimulation, making him an ideal companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures. Regular walks, play sessions, and engaging games like fetch or agility training will help keep him happy and well-adjusted. Socialization is also crucial for Buddy; introducing him to a variety of people and environments will help him build confidence. He gets along great with other dogs! Because of he has had biting incident (due mainly to resource guarding w toys), it's essential that Buddy is placed in a home where he can receive consistent training and positive reinforcement. Basic obedience commands will not only strengthen the bond between him and his owner but also ensure he behaves well in different situations. A dedicated owner who understands his needs and is willing to invest time in training will help Buddy become the well-rounded dog he has the potential to be. A fenced yard is a must for Buddy (not chain link) Overall, Buddy is a fun-loving little dog who ready to bring joy and companionship to an active family or individual who can provide him with the love and care he deserves. With the right environment and support, he can flourish and become a beloved member of the household. Story
**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!** **COURTESY POSTING--LOCATED IN SOUTH CAROLINA** 5-16-25: "Hey everyone! My name is GILBERT, and I am looking for my new home. You see, I have a home where they love me dearly, and I, them. But the way life works sometimes, things don't work out, and here we are today. I have a little human under 2 years old, and my Mom and Dad are getting ready to have another tiny human, and I just get too nervous around them, I have never been aggressive--love them dearly, but I get too anxious and stressed. So with that being said, they have made the heart breaking decision to find me a home where I can relax, run, play and be loved, as they love me. My details are that I am a Jack Russell mix, who is 6 1/2 years old, weighing in at about 35 to 40 pounds, have my vaccines, am neutered and on my monthly heartworm prevention. I take an Apoquel pill to help with mild allergy/itching, and Mom changed my food. My manners are that of a gentleman, and I do like my crate. I would love a nice fenced yard for me to run and play in, maybe a K9 friend to pal around with too! I thrive on your love and attention. Do you like to take walks? I sure do, and I am friendly with everyone we meet along the way! I would like a home with children older than 8 to 10 please. If I sound like a great match for you, please contact my Mom, KENZIE at 864-293-0167 or email her at: kenzieraines13@gmail.com" "Well, that's me in a nutshell, and I hope you'll want to meet me, as I look forward to meeting you! I really am a good boy and will miss my family, but I will cherish my memories of life with them, and look forward to making new ones with you!" Love and wet, sloppy PAWSome kisses, GILBERT

Story
Oh how Chase is just the most adorable Jack Russel/ Chihuaha mix! This love bug is 2yrs old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Chase is a very sweet boy and dog friendly. He would do better with dogs bigger than him. He loves to play with his foster buddy who's a Golden Retriever! Because he can play rough (typical Jack Russel) other little dogs might not like his play style. Chase is true to the Jack Russel breed with having a lot of energy. But once he gets some exercise he settles right down. We will require a fenced in yard for Chase so he can run around. Also, if you're a walker, that's a great way to get a dogs enery out! If you think this sweet boy would be a great fit for your family, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.org ##1744393##
