Jack has overcome a challenging experience and is now ready to thrive in a new forever home. After recovering from minor injuries sustained during an altercation with a younger housemate, Jack is back to his vibrant self. This charming 10-year-old Jack Russell mix boasts a unique appearance, with short, stubby legs and a long torso, and has a delightful habit of offering handshakes with his stubby legs. Fully vetted and up-to-date on all vaccinations, Jack is also house-trained, crate-trained, and well-behaved during travel and bath time. He has mastered basic commands like sit, shake, and stay. While Jack would flourish in almost any home, unfortunately, he cannot cohabitate with cats. Are you ready to add some fun to your life? HATTIE is here to help. She's a bouncy, playful, sweet little mixed breed girl. Hattie is about 18 months old and fully grown at 30 pounds. Our best guess on breed is some Jack Russell Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog and heaven only knows what else. Hattie has an adorable personality. She's affectionate and outgoing. Hattie is the total package, the only thing she's missing is a tail. We aren't sure where it went but all she has is a little nub. But it's okay, she can still show you how happy she is, tail or no tail! Hattie is best suited to an active home where she will get plenty of exercise. We'd prefer to find her a home with a physically fenced yard. She's great with other dogs and would love to have a playmate. If you'd like to meet Hattie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Hattie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm (weather permitting, watch our Facebook page for updates). Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. I recently had a baby and have another child under 2 years old. It has become too much for our household to care for a dog as well. Odie is 3 years old and has been fully potty trained. However he started marking territory in our house a few months ago. I suspect he needs to be potty trained again which is too much for our family to take on having 2 small children and another child. Odie is very loving and energetic. He would be a great companion for someone who can give him the time and attention he needs. Only serious applicants please.

Huckleberry Finn - or Finn as we call him is an adorable low rider looking for his next adventure with you! Our best guess is that he is a 2 year old Jack Russel Terrier / Basset Hound mix. He is approximately 30 pounds and full of LOVE!!  Finn came to SAAP ready to find his furever home but sadly we discovered that he was heartworm positive. So SAAP stepped in to get him the help and healing that he needed. Fin is ready to put all of that behind him and set out on a mission to find his family!  Finn has been good with all the dogs in his foster home. He ignored the resident cat. His favorite place is with his humans! He loves doing rolly polly’s for belly rubs! We are working on potty training. He had been on steroids since he arrived at SAAP for treatment (which heightens the need to drink and urinate) and so we are now working to reinforce the need to potty outside. Hello everyone, this lovely girl is Eve she was adopted from scpa in 2018 and she’s been a joy to have around. She loves walks, loves to play, is clingy, talkative, smart, and has never shown aggression to children (for context we had her around the time i was in middle school and my siblings were in elementary). However she has shown aggression for other dogs/cats. unfortunately as time passed we simply had schedules that conflicted with taking care of Eve. She needs a lot of care and i would love if we could find someone with a gated backyard, because she loves being outside for long periods of time, and who can have enough time to show her the love she deserves. If you’d think you’re able to give her a new home to cherish please contact me and we can discuss the transferring process. this is a very hard thing to do for us because we love her dearly so i really want to make sure we find a great new owner.
