Meet Alice! Alice is a young, small terrier mix with a tender heart and a nervousness about the world. She didn’t have much early socialization, so she’s still learning that humans can be kind, predictable, and safe. While she’s not quite comfortable with hands-on handling yet, Alice makes progress every single day—and it’s wonderful to watch her confidence slowly bloom. Alice is looking for a patient, understanding family who will let her move at her own pace and celebrate the small victories. She’ll benefit from working with a trainer who can help her learn the basics of life in a human world and continue building her trust and confidence through positive reinforcement. She would love having another gentle, social dog in the home to show her the ropes and help her feel secure. Alice has met cats and does great with them! A home without chidren would be most ideal for her and because Alice is not comfortable on leash a fenced yard would be a must in her new home. Alice may not be the kind of dog who runs up for cuddles right away—but for the right family, earning her trust will be incredibly rewarding. If you have patience, compassion, and room in your heart for a shy pup learning to shine, Alice just might be your perfect match. Do not let that thoughtful look fool you though, his tail is almost always wagging. He was the first of the two brothers to discover his bark and loves to “talk” when he wants your attention. He enjoys playing outside and is right there for a good game of chase with his brother and foster sibling. He may be slightly calmer than Theodore, but at this young age he still has plenty of playful puppy energy. Gregory loves giving kisses and will follow them up with gentle nibbles. If you wear your hair in a scrunchie ponytail consider yourself warned, he and his brother think that is the best toy ever. Like his brother he sleeps through the night and does well with the crate when left open. Morning snuggles are his specialty and he loves starting the day curled up close to his people. Gregory would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet affectionate puppy with just the right amount of playful spark. He is being fostered in Texas but can be transported. Laverne is a sweet, affectionate rescue girl who is ready to bring warmth, love, and companionship into her forever home. She is around 2 years old and weighs approximately 25 pounds, making her a wonderful medium-sized companion—perfect for cuddles, adventures, and everyday life. Laverne is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX, where she has settled beautifully into a loving routine. Laverne is fully potty trained and crate trained, making her an easy transition into a new home. She is good with all dogs and truly enjoys their company, whether it’s playtime in the yard or relaxing together after a busy day. That said, she does not necessarily need a home with another dog—she would be just as happy soaking up all the love and attention as your one-and-only. One of her favorite pastimes is soaking up the sunshine. She loves curling up in a sunny spot by a window for a peaceful nap. She also enjoys going places! Laverne loads easily into the car and likes to stand on the console so she can see everything on the road ahead. She is leash trained and walks nicely, making daily strolls enjoyable. Laverne may initially bark at strangers and especially men, but she warms up quickly once she feels safe. Outings without a lot of new people are preferred.
