Story
If your dream dog is tiny, tender, and totally devoted, your search ends here. Maddie isn’t just looking for a house, she’s looking for a person to call home. Maddie is the definition of a soft, soulful angel. While she can be a little shy in new environments, she is a world class cuddler once she feels safe. She doesn’t just sit near you she melts into your arms as if she were custom-made to be carried. If snuggling were an Olympic sport, Maddie would take the gold every single time. But don’t just take our word for it, watch her adoption video to see that gentle, velcro love in action. *YouTube Link* We suspect this little lady is a Russell Terrier mix, though as with any rescue, that’s always our best educated and loving! guess. She weighs in at a petite 9 lbs compact, portable, and perfectly purse-sized.Maddie is the ultimate shadow dog and an incredibly devoted, loyal companion no doubt about it. She’s the kind of pup you can scoop up and take anywhere, but her love is larger than life. Maddie is currently flourishing in a foster home and has proven herself to be a total lady. She is fully crate trained and has her "indoor etiquette" down. Maddie has interacted safely and lovingly with babies. With other dogs, Maddie is mostly aloof. She doesn’t seek out dog play. She would thrive either as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or with a very low energy companion. With cats, Maddie had a chance to meet our house cat and showed all great signs! Of course, we can arrange a little kitty sleepover to make sure everyone agrees she’s as polite as she appears. Maddie would absolutely love the apartment life. She’s a quick potty break girl who wants to get right back to the couch and burrow into her person. A calm, structured home where she can feel safe, cherished, and maybe just a little spoiled would be perfect. She doesn’t need a big yard, she needs a big lap. Maddie is a soulful, affectionate, tiny companion who bonds deeply and loves fully. The kind of dog who will memorize your routines and curl up exactly where your heart is. Story
Olive is a 4 year old Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, and Jack Russell Terrier mix with tons of energy and so much love to give. Olive can be anxious and would do best in a calm home without infants or other dogs. Shes great with older children (8 ) and absolutely loves to play. She also gets along very well with cats, her best friend is a cat, and would do great in a home with them. She loves to cuddle and is the best pal someone could ask for.

Story
We were given Patch for Christmas. He is a cute little Jack Russel terrier. He has a lot of energy....too much for my husband and I. We are older and are having a hard time holding on to him when we take him out to potty. He pulls hard on the leash and trys to chase the chickens. He needs someone to take some time with him and train him. He also needs an adult only home. He is not good with kids. He is crate trained. I also need to make it clear that Patch needs an experienced person to take him. While he is good natured most of the time he also will occasionally get aggressive. He will turn from being friendy to all of a sudden aggressively growling and lunging at us. Someone needs to try to figure out what is triggering this action. I'm sad because most of the time he is such a sweet little dog but I can't keep him. Please only respond if you are experienced with handling dogs with behavioral issues.

Story
Meet Alice! Alice is a young, small terrier mix with a tender heart and a nervousness about the world. She didn’t have much early socialization, so she’s still learning that humans can be kind, predictable, and safe. While she’s not quite comfortable with hands-on handling yet, Alice makes progress every single day—and it’s wonderful to watch her confidence slowly bloom. Alice is looking for a patient, understanding family who will let her move at her own pace and celebrate the small victories. She’ll benefit from working with a trainer who can help her learn the basics of life in a human world and continue building her trust and confidence through positive reinforcement. She would love having another gentle, social dog in the home to show her the ropes and help her feel secure. With proper introductions, Alice could likely learn to live peacefully with cats as well. A home without chidren would be most ideal for her,  Alice may not be the kind of dog who runs up for cuddles right away—but for the right family, earning her trust will be incredibly rewarding. If you have patience, compassion, and room in your heart for a shy pup learning to shine, Alice just might be your perfect match. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Alice's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Penny would do great in a home with...Cats : Dogs : Yep!  Kiddos :   ##2630734##
