Story

Sushi is being fostered in CT. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going. Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get on. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

This lovely silver and white girl is Blu. Blu is just 2 years old and weighs 21 lbs. Her house manners are excellent. She doesn't chew on furniture, she sleeps in her crate (although she loves snuggling under the covers in bed too), and she is well house-trained. She even knows how to use a speaker button when she wants to go outside. Blu hasn't seen much of the world beyond her home, so her socialization skills are minimal. New places and new people make her nervous, and she does have some separation anxiety. She hasn't been around other dogs very much either, but seems OK with most, and she loves to snuggle and play with the other dog in her home.   Blu's energy level is moderate, but she LOVES to run! Her favorite game is tug-of-war, and she likes chew toys the best. Blu is rather rambunctious in play which can be overwhelming to little kids, so she should live in a home without young children. She loves scratches but doesn't necessarily like to be petted. She will snuggle beside her people in a chair or on the couch, but she jumps up in the blink of an eye if disturbed by a noise or movement. Blu would be OK as an only dog in a quiet home if someone is there most of the time, but she would also enjoy having a canine sibling to rough and tumble with. She also hopes her new home will have a fenced yard where she can run zoomies to her heart's content!
