Ruby is a cutie patootie! She's a snuggle bug with a standard issue JRT attitude. She LOVES to play with other dogs - so she definitely needs a home with playmates! She's accustomed to a dog door, and is learning to use a bell to let you know she needs to go out. Ruby rests quietly in a crate and is happy to sleep there all night. Of course, she'd be tickled to sleep with you. If you stay up too late she may ask you to put her to bed! Ruby came to us as an owner surrender. She's been with the same family since she was a wee pup. Her person was a man, but she's adapted well with her foster mom, so she's equal opportunity. Unfortunately, she's not kid-friendly. She's not been tested on cats. We are told she will eliminate your critter problems in no time! We were told Ruby has extreme anxiety when going to the vet, but otherwise she's a perfect girl! Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Izzo is a good tempered playful dog about 4yrs old who is very smart and curious. Jack Russell mix rescued as a pup looking for a human to follow around. Rehoming because of work. Good with children, adults and seniors alike. Likes Seniors as she likes it when you talk to her and doesn't mind rambling on. Likes following kids, outdoors and car rides. Is used to a fenced yard but comes with a geo fence collar also.When resting while you work she tends to keep lookout and tell you of approaching persons. Understands basic commands and stays fairly close on walks and in woods. Gets along good with neighbors dog and cats. Doesn't like chickens. Had multiple dogs so until recently so she wasn't on her own much. Trained with a doggie door and large feeder so she doesn't over eat but also knows door signal to go out. Likes exploring woods and fields. Returns when you whistle.

Stella Rose is a wonderful dog she a little slow to warm up but once she does is a total sweetheart. She loves cuddles and walks and treats. She’s is very food motivated. She is well behaved but she is very standoffish with other dogs and cats. I got her from the Humane Society Shelter last June and while she has been a sweet dog my home issues have left me unable to care for her any longer. Comes with up to date shots and Flea and Tick plus heartworm prevention.

Johnny and Tommy need a foster home this weekend if at all possible.These sweet boys are 11-year-old full brothers, small at just 15–20 pounds, and they have never spent a single day apart. They’ve been together their entire lives, and keeping them together is incredibly important.Since they were puppies (around 6–8 months old), they’ve lived on a farm where they’ve truly been the guardians of the land—an alarm system for anything that drives onto the property. They’ve peacefully lived alongside other dogs, goats, horses, donkeys, and pigs. They’re used to being outdoors most of the time and were brought inside during bad weather. They are not house trained, but they are smart, food-motivated, and eager to please.They love treats and warm up quickly to people who come bearing snacks.Johnny’s past hasn’t been easy. He was kicked by a previous owner wearing boots, so he can be skittish—especially around boots—and has some anxiety with crates and car rides. Despite that, he has so much love to give once he feels safe.Tommy is the more outgoing of the two. He’s friendly and affectionate, though he also experiences some anxiety with crates and car rides—just not quite as intensely as his brother.They’ve been fed pedigree kibble and have known a simple, consistent life together.These boys don’t understand why things are changing.
