Story
Jack is a 14-year-old Jack Russell Terrier and Cattle Dog mix looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. Like his brother Riley, Jack's life changed dramatically when their veteran dad had to move into assisted living. Sadly, no family members were able to take the boys in, and through no fault of their own, they found themselves searching for a new beginning after years in a loving home. Jack is an incredibly affectionate dog who adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He can be a little anxious at times, which is understandable given all the changes he's experienced recently, but beneath that uncertainty is a sweet, loving companion who just wants to be close to his people. This senior boy deserves a soft place to land and a family willing to give him the patience, comfort, and love he needs to feel secure again. In return, Jack will reward you with endless affection and loyal companionship. He's ready to spend his retirement years being spoiled, cherished, and loved the way every senior dog deserves. ❤️🐾

Breed: Schnauzer MixSex: FemaleAge: PuppyWeight: Approximately 6 lbsLittle Locket may be tiny, but she has already overcome a lot.Locket was found out in the country with her mama, Keepsake, and sister when the puppies were so young their umbilical cords were still attached. Thankfully, this little family made it to safety, and now Locket is ready for her next chapter.Locket has an adorable black-and-tan wiry coat and looks just like her mama, a petite Schnauzer mix. She enjoys playing with puppies and dogs closer to her size, loves children, and is at the perfect age to learn that cats can be friends too.Like any young puppy, Locket needs a family ready to provide love, consistency, puppy training, socialization, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. After several transitions early in life, what Locket needs most now is a place where she can settle in and simply enjoy being a puppy.Locket is currently looking for a foster or forever home in Texas, preferably in the greater Houston area. She is still too young for transport.Could this little Locket be the one you keep forever?  ##2792341##

Story
Meet Boots McGee! This 4½-year-old, 17-pound Jack Russell/Dachshund mix may be small in size, but he’s got a big personality and an even bigger heart. Boots came to us as a stray with some pretty severe skin issues, and while we’re still working with a dermatologist to get to the bottom of it, he’s been an absolute trooper through it all. Boots is currently on a special diet to help manage his skin and digestive health—and he’ll need to stick with it in his forever home. Great news: Boots recently tested negative for heartworms! He’ll still need a routine recheck in 12 months to ensure he stays healthy and heartworm-free. Boots McGee is a quirky little guy who takes his time warming up to new people, but once he knows you, he’s loyal, sweet, and full of love. He’s not a fan of other animals—he has a high prey drive and would do best as the only pet in a calm, adult-only home where he can truly thrive. He isn’t house-trained yet and could use some help with leash manners, but he’s food-motivated and eager to bond with his person. His ideal match? Someone patient, experienced, and ready to help him feel safe, secure, and loved. Boots McGee is a work in progress—but he’s so worth it. If you’re looking for a special companion who just needs a little extra care and understanding, this scrappy sweetheart might be the one for you. 🐾🖤 Adoption fee is: waived to the right home. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
AS OF JULY 12TH, DOUG IS IN A TRIAL ADOPTION. YOU CAN STILL COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IN THE CHANCE THAT IT DOES NOT WORK OUT. *** QUALITIES: Quiet, content, loving, smart *** WORKING on: walking, being underfoot Doug is a young man weighing 20 lbs right now. He is very muscular and strong for a small dog and loves to play with a fellow foster doberman. Doug gets along with all the dogs in the home. He loves to walk and has an endearing feature where he will splay out on the grass if you stop to talk or another dog is spending too much time investigating a smell. He is learning walking etiquette like not winding himself around you or the other dogs. Other than that he is a perfect walker. In the home, Doug has had no accidents. He is very, very smart...learning the dog door in a day, learning the shortcuts on walks, learning the Level 3 food puzzles right away. He kennels expertly and never makes a peep until let out. Doug can get underfoot but takes corrections really well, usually finding a chew and going to a cot. Doug is very food motivated. He is eating a gently cooked diet of vegetables and a protein meat which he loves. He has scampered out the door between my legs twice but stopped and allowed me to pick him up and bring back in. I attribute this to his diet so I am hoping someone with similar beliefs will be interested in continuing this. Doug is such a sweet, perfect little dog and would make anyone a great companion. I am really hoping for a home with another playful dog friend. If you are interested in Doug, please reach out with your phone number so we can schedule a phone visit. If that goes well, we will need an adoption application completed. Story
Meet June Bug June Bug is a sweet senior girl who deserves to spend this chapter of her life knowing nothing but comfort, kindness, and love. Before coming to Belles Buds Rescue, June Bug had been abandoned by her owner and left living in filthy, neglected conditions. Thankfully, concerned neighbors stepped in to help. Her coat had become so long and unkempt that her beautiful little face was barely visible. After a much-needed grooming and some TLC, the adorable girl underneath could finally shine again. Today, June Bug is safe in the care of a dedicated foster and showing everyone what a wonderful little companion she is. She loves children, gets along well with other dogs, and especially loves being held and cuddled. She even enjoys cruising around in a dog stroller! Although her eyes may show her age, June Bug can still see well, and her hearing is excellent. Even the loud Fourth of July fireworks didn’t seem to bother her. She’s a calm, easygoing little lady who doesn’t bark much and is happiest simply being close to the people she loves. At just under 10 pounds, June Bug is the perfect little lap companion. Her exact breed is anyone’s guess—she may have some Yorkie/Poodle or Maltese/Shih Tzu in her—but she’s 100% adorable. June Bug doesn’t need someone to focus on how many years she’s already lived. She needs a family who will focus on making the years ahead some of her very best. ##2733734##
