Pippin was rescued from a shelter in Bastrop County. He is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle. He has trust issues and is very skittish but not aggressive at all. He needs to be in a home that is not chaotic and calm. He loves to go on walks and is the perfect lap dog. During the day, he will need to be crated which he actually prefers.

Olive is a very sweet and shy little girl. She does well with other dogs and cats, but gets a little anxious around things like bikes, and sometimes children. She prefers to be the one to engage you, and can get a little shy when given too much direct attention (she just scampers away). She's very loyal and very smart (definitely trainable). I'm posting this hoping to find a good home for her, she would do well with a backyard and plenty of room to run and explore. She would make an excellent hiking companion, and loves to run/ pull you with her harness. I lost my job a while back, and while I love her so much, she needs more room to run around then I am currently able to provide, as we live in an apartment. She needs a gentle, understanding, loving home, and will flourish when given a chance. She is a little quirky girl, but she is so loving. I'm posting so she gets the life she deserves.

Cooper was bought at a pet store in Utah & brought to Texas as a puppy by my daughter. He's lived with us for 8 years. We thought our daughter would eventually take him when she married, but she's decided he was better off in Texas. I am disabled & my husband is already busy helping me, so we'd like to find him a new home. He's mostly house-trained but hasn't been properly trained. He likes to sleep in the same room, if he can, & loves the outdoors. He has anxiety with rain/thunderstorms & also has separation anxiety. Cooper loves all people and is the best dog for making you feel loved when you return home. Because of the shitzu mix, he is active but not as hyper as Jack Russells can be. He enjoys a good nap but will go for a walk and play as long as you can.

**Courtesy Post** Valentine lost the person she loved most in the world, her owner died. Valentine is 6-7 years old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Her owner had been sick for a long time and when they passed away it left Valentine in need of a new home. Valentine was very protective of my sister and will need patience to gain trust again. She is understandably confused and sad. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt her. Valentine needs a securely fenced yard, but she definitely needs to be an indoor dog. She requires a home with no kiddos and no cats. Other dogs are ok as long as they are male dogs. Her adopter must be able to drive to the Georgetown, Texas area to get her. Benny was found running the streets in a stray dog pack in the Rio Grande Valley. When he first came here, he was fearful around men and could be a bully to new dogs, but he's come a long way since then. Once he gets to know you, he's a sweet, funny, playful dog who wants to be with you as much as possible. Benny was initially cat-aggressive, but he's been around cats for several months and has grown used to them. He mostly ignores them but sometimes chases them. He can be around cats, but should not be left alone with them. (I kennel him when we leave.) Benny gets along well with most female dogs, but he can be dominant towards male dogs. He shows some resource guarding of both food and people and seems to want to "defend" his people from other dogs. That doesn't mean he can't get along with other dogs or other male dogs, but he needs to be introduced to other dogs carefully. The same can be true for introducing him to new people---he needs some time to build trust. Someone who is willing to take time and socialize Benny with other people and animals would be a great adopter. Benny is a great dog who really wants to please. He is loving, affectionate, and playful.

Meet Sally, the spirited and pint-sized little terrier with the most adorable perky ears and sparkly eyes! Sally is cute as a button and she is completely devoted to her people. She is so gentle and very easy to leash walk, making her a fan favorite among volunteers and staff alike. She loves to trot along and explore the trails, followed by a relaxing cuddle session with her people. Sally gets along well with other nice small dogs, and she is quite fond of cats! While she is confident and charming, Sally can be anxious when left alone and we think she would do well in a home with another canine sibling to keep her company. She is also shy around sudden movements and loud noises, so we recommend a quieter home with adults and older children. Sally's kind and sweet disposition makes her the perfect companion for a very lucky adopter. She is absolutely darling and we hope she finds her forever family very soon!
