Minnie is a 1-2 year old Japanese chin/chihuahua mix. She is good with other dogs and kids. Minnie does have a heart condition, so she will need to be under the care of a cardiologist. She doesn't need medication, but it is recommended that she gets an echocardiogram every 6 months. She is spayed and up to date on shots. To meet her, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. *** My dog`s name is Winston, and he is a maltipoo who is 10 yrs old going to be 11 this year. Hes been around a cat previously for 5 years and they got along well. He hasn’t been around a lot of toddlers. He needs a lot of attention and would do well with someone who is retired or works from home. Both of my kids are grown and moved out and I’m taking care of my mother who has Alzheimer’s by myself now. I don’t have the bandwidth to give him the attention he deserves and that’s why I’m looking for a home for him. He’s only 7 pounds and a lot of fluff so he can run in between your legs so not good for someone who can trip easily. He is a lap dog and is perfectly content just cuddling with someone. He does have a high-pitched bark and loves to talk when he’s excited. He is neutered and up to date with all shots. He did have bladder stones and he’s on a vet px diet and is due for his 4-month checkup to see if he has any left which I’m taking him to in another week. He just had a checkup, and his teeth cleaned end of last year. He’s in good health and very friendly. He doesn’t like to be on his back, so you have to hold him like a football but loves to be in someone’s arms. He is crate trained, and pee pad trained. I keep a pad in the bathroom for him in case, but he will go outside if you take him out regularly and as soon as he’s done eating. For adoption information, please email momi1600@gmail.com.

Story
I’m looking to find a new home for Gizmo, my 10-year-old Maltese. We’ve had him since he was a puppy, and he’s always been part of our family. Due to significant changes in family circumstances over the years, I took him in when I moved into my apartment. Unfortunately, I’ve learned that he has developed severe separation anxiety, and with my current work schedule and apartment setup, I can’t provide the stable environment he needs. Gizmo is a healthy, well-behaved boy who deserves a loving home where someone can help him work through his anxiety. He would do best in a home where his occasional barking or howling won’t disturb neighbors. He’s a little spoiled but he’s a fast learner and loves attention. I’ll also provide all of his supplies to make the transition easier, including a 6+ month supply of his kibble, his bed, toys, and grooming supplies. We’d love to stay in touch and check in from time to time, if possible as he means a lot to our family.

Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Squash: Housebroken: Doing well overall! Crate trained: Squash does best free-roaming in a safeguarded (no access to stairs, trip hazards etc) space when home alone. Leash walking: He has seemed fearful on leash and would likely do best with access to a fenced yard Dog social: He lives with respectful dogs in his foster home and has done well in co-existing peacefully with them Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown, but he may be most comfortable with slightly older kids given his limited vision Squash likes: - Napping in a cozy spot - Snacktime - Building trust with his people Squash is a super laid back guy, but is still adjusting to all of the newness around him...and to navigating the world with limited vision. He is very sweet and working hard to open up as he acclimates to his new environment, and would appreciate a patient adopter who can help him along the way! Squash has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which is a chronic disease that will likely require lifelong medication to manage it. He had his right eye removed while in our care, and is suspected to have little or no vision in his remaining left eye. Squash's adoption fee is $300, and he is eager to find a comfy home where he can blossom!
