Sally Owens, if you get it, you get it. Sally is one of local shelter pulls after being found as a stray. It is very obvious that at one time she lived in a home and enjoyed all the comfort things it has to offer. We don't know how she ended up in a shelter, but we do know that she deserves a home to call her own and we want nothing more than to find it. Sally is estimated to be between 6-7 years old. She has a little bit of vision impairment but definitely doesn't at like that so we're assuming it's with older age. She is currently on some eye drops to help ensure that she doesn't have dry eyes but thankfully so far a recommended OFC cost friendly option has done the trick. As we are sure they were really painful at first, she does get a little defensive of putting in the eye drops so she requires the patience of someone willing to create a routine and work with her. I would hate if someone was sticking something in my eyes also, I guess. She is corky and full of personality. She is the kind of dog that minds her own, but you can't help but get a good laugh out of her. She enjoys a good bed, or multiple, she isn't picky but is spoiled. She is great after a couple of minutes of dramatically dragging her paw on the bars in her crate. She is working on and doing well with potty training and though when put into her forever home there will be a transition period, she can stand a normal work day of 8 hours. She is great on walks and gets so excited that she tries to hold her own leash from time to time. Though she doesn't require long walks or extra activity, she would love a minimum for happiness. Sally is located in the Chicagoland area and accepting applications for residents within 3 hours of Chicago. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org. Her adoption fee includes spay, up to date vaccines and preventatives, heartworm negative and microchip.

Hi there! I'm Nimbus, a super lovable pup with a heart full of joy and a spirit of adventure! Every day is an exciting journey of learning and growing, and I'm thrilled to be part of my amazing human family. They think I'm nearly perfect, and I'm working hard to prove them right! I absolutely adore my humans - from the dad to the children - and nothing makes me happier than being right by their side. Cuddles are my specialty, and I've got a talent for finding the most comfortable spot, which just happens to be right on top of my favorite human. My walks are the highlight of my day - I'm curious and enthusiastic about everything around me! I'm learning so much about the world, and I love exploring every inch of my neighborhood. I'm becoming quite the expert at walking nicely on a leash and spending quality time with my family. My social skills are growing every day, and I'm getting along fantastically with the other dogs in my life. Sure, I'm still learning the ropes, but I'm doing it with a wagging tail and boundless energy! I'm developing some cool new interests too! While I'm just starting to get curious about toys, especially balls, I'm always up for playtime and attention. I've got a charming personality that lights up the room, and I'm becoming more confident every single day. My humans are helping me learn and grow, and I'm making progress in leaps and bounds. I may get excited sometimes, but it's only because I love my family so much and want to be right in the middle of all the action! Every day is an opportunity to be a better, happier, more awesome version of myself - and I'm totally nailing it!

After being found on the streets and fully vetted by our team, we searched for his owners for months. Just as he was about to be adopted, his previous owners came forward. Sadly, a year later, Banjo was found on the streets again, and we were called to take him back into our care. His former owners, currently without stable housing, agreed it was best that Banjo find a safe, secure forever home. Due to past food insecurity, Banjo can be food-aggressive with other dogs. Jordan is a delightful Bichon Frise puppy! He is a bouncy happy little fella. He will delight you and keep you smiling. He was born in a commercial breeding facility and had not been exposed to the same things a puppy born in your home has. However, he is adjusting very well and will blossom in his own family. Like all puppies, he will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all puppies—not only to give Jordan important learning skills, but because you and your puppy will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Jordan is fully vetted. He has been neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption donation is $1200..00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Liam wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse!
