Story
Meet Toto Kai, a 7-year-old, 6-pound Mi-Ki with a gentle soul. Toto came to CAMO Rescue with his bonded companion, Teddy Kuma, after experiencing profound loss. After their mom passed away and their dad was placed into a nursing home, the family was unable to keep the two boys together and made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender them, hoping they could find a loving forever home.
Tiny and exceptionally sweet, Toto bonds quickly and deeply with his person and thrives on close companionship. He wants to be held, cuddled, or resting right beside his human whenever possible. In his previous home, Toto was likely never outdoors and was not housebroken, but he has made tremendous progress in a short period of time. He bravely overcame his initial fear of standing on grass and continues to do very well with house training. Due to his small size, he should always be accompanied outside.
Toto can be vocal in a crate during the day as he prefers to be near his person, but he sleeps quietly in a crate at night. He and Teddy would also be perfectly content sleeping in bed with their people if given the option. Toto does not jump onto the sofa on his own, but once placed there he enjoys perching on the back. Together, Toto Kai and Teddy Kuma are affectionate, sensitive, and loving little dogs who would make perfect pocket companions for a calm, devoted family ready to give them the stability and love they have been missing.
