Meet Chelsea, the Siamese cat! Chelsea arrived to the Shelter as a stray. She has been a little nervous in the Shelter but interested in adoption. She would thrive in a quiet, cat savvy home that will give her the time and space to acclimate and show her true, sweet purrrsonality. Chelsea may do well with another cat in a home provided there is a slow, thoughtful introduction. Since Chelsea is light in color, she is at increased risk of predation outdoors. To keep her (and our local wildlife) safe, we are recommending her as an indoor only kitty moving forward. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
