Story
The Bird Kittens have had minor exposure to illness here at the shelter. They are looking for a cozy nest to grow big and strong in until they are ready to take flight on their next adventure. We like to use the buddy system, so they will need to go to foster in pairs. Bird Litter Consists of: Starling, Finch, Seagull, and MallardReason for Foster: Illness Exposure & Underage/UnderweightFoster Time Frame: 5 weeks (quarantine ends on 5/7) Foster Care Plan: These kittens require bottle feeding with KMR every 4-5 hours. Regular weighing of kittens is essential to ensure they are steadily gaining weight. They will benefit from a constant heat source and assistance with stimulation. Upon arrival, we will provide a kitten nursery consultation and offer training if needed. All necessary supplies and resources will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped to confidently care of these precious kittens. Due to minor exposure to illness in the shelter, we ask that fosters taking the Bird Kittens to monitor for any signs of illness. When housing a foster pet, we recommend housing away from personal pets until after the quarantine ends. Otherwise, we suggest personal pets be over 1 year of age and fully vaccinated. To learn more about what caring for bottle babies entails, check out this link below: https://university.maddiesfund.org/products/taking-the-fear-out-of-bottle-feeding-and-basic-kitten-care#tab-product_tab_overview
