Story
From her foster mom, Jessica:
Creamsicle is sassy, smart, and there's a pretty good chance she's judging you.
When she meets someone new, she likes to observe from somewhere high or tucked into a favorite hiding spot while she decides what she thinks. Creamsicle was born feral, so trust takes a little time for her. But once she decides you're safe, you get to see a completely different side of her. That's when she becomes a bit of an affection thief.
If I'm petting her and my hand wanders away, Creamsicle will actually grab it and redirect it toward her head. Apparently whatever else I was planning to do with that hand wasn't nearly as important.
As she gets more comfortable, the little milestones keep coming. She'll crawl into my lap, roll over and let me touch her belly, or simply look up at me with those beautiful blue eyes. She's affectionate and loves being held, but she wants to build that relationship at her own pace.
Creamsicle is bonded with her brother, Dorito, and they need to be adopted together. They make a great little team. Dorito is the investigator. He cautiously checks out something new first, and Creamsicle watches to see what happens. Then she's often the one who actually does something about it. When I put a baby gate across the doorway, Dorito crept up to investigate it. Creamsicle tried to jump it.
She absolutely adores her brother, keeps an eye on him, and is noticeably braver when he's beside her. That's one of the reasons these two belong together.
In her new home, she'll need a patient family that understands she may not show her full personality immediately. A high perch or safe hiding place where she can observe everything will help her settle in.
Once you've earned her trust, though, you get a sweet, affectionate lap cat with plenty of personality and just the right amount of sass. And, of course, you get Dorito too.

At Meowtown, we don't have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They're not waiting to become housecats... they already are. They just need a house.
This kitten has not been spayed yet, but is available as Foster2Adopt. You adopt and take the kitten home with you, and we pay for and arrange for spay later.
