From his foster mom, Jessica: Tartar Sauce has exactly two speeds: FULL THROTTLE and snuggle. There really isn't much in between. This gorgeous flame-point boy absolutely loves people. Walk through the door and Tartar Sauce greets you like you've been gone for a month. And if you aren't picking him up quickly enough? No problem. He'll just start climbing you to speed up the process. Attention may very well be Tartar Sauce's favorite thing in the world, and subtlety is definitely not his strong suit. Then there's playtime. Bring out a string wand and this boy absolutely loses his mind. He leaps, twists, launches himself through the air, and tries to catch it mid-flight. He's playful, athletic, curious about absolutely everything, and firmly believes that anything new entering the house requires an immediate and thorough inspection. Cabinet? Investigate it. Countertop? Obviously. Random box that appeared in the living room? Tartar Sauce is already inside it. But eventually even Tartar Sauce runs out of fuel. And that's when this little wild child turns right back into a lovebug. He'll flop down for a snuggle and purr like he invented it. He's a genuine lap kitty who loves being held and wants to be part of whatever his people are doing. Tartar Sauce was born under a house to a feral mama along with his siblings Milkshake, Buttermilk, Creamsicle, and Dorito. Tartar Sauce, Milkshake, and Buttermilk were the first brought inside, and they've absolutely embraced indoor life, becoming wonderfully friendly, people-oriented kittens. He's good with other cats and would especially enjoy having another playful feline friend. He isn't bonded to his siblings, so they can happily be adopted separately, but Milkshake, Buttermilk, Creamsicle, and Dorito are also available if you've been thinking about adopting two. Tartar Sauce would also do well in a home where his humans are around a lot and can give him plenty of attention, playtime, climbing opportunities, and things to explore. As an added bonus, this little man already has excellent litter box manners, uses his scratching post, and even tolerates nail trims. Apparently all that chaos comes with surprisingly good manners. If you want a quiet little cat who stays out of the way, Tartar Sauce probably isn't applying for that position. But if you want a hilarious, affectionate, curious little sidekick who will greet you at the door, climb you for cuddles, make you laugh every day, and then collapse into your lap purring when the adventure is over...
