🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home
Hi, my name is Tintin 🐾
I was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea together with my littermate, Toto. I had to survive day by day in a cold, narrow wire cage, but thankfully I was given a second chance at life through rescue. Now, for the very first time, I am learning what it means to be part of a real, loving family.
Tintin is a 10-month-old young puppy. Everything is still new, and the world is full of things she is just beginning to discover. When she meets new people or finds herself in unfamiliar environments, she may take a step back and observe carefully. This isn’t out of fear, but rather because she is still learning about the world at her own pace.
It may take a little time for her to fully open her heart, but once trust is built, Tintin shows a deeply devoted and special kind of love. She enjoys quietly leaning against the people she loves, staying close as if to say, “I feel safe with you.” In her foster home, she has been building a strong bond with her caregiver and is showing more stability and comfort each day.
Within the home—her familiar space—Tintin can be a bit thoughtful and cautious around new people. She prefers to take her time observing and understanding a situation first, but with calm guidance and patience from her caregiver, she gradually relaxes and becomes more at ease. As a young dog still learning about the world, she needs a family who will not rush her, but instead allow her the time she needs.
Tintin can live with other dogs and does especially well with calm, easygoing companions. Interestingly, she shows a much brighter and more playful side outside the home—at the dog park, she enjoys running and interacting happily with other dogs.
She is still learning when it comes to things she values, like food or toys. However, Tintin is a smart and observant puppy, and with gentle, consistent guidance, she will continue to grow in a positive direction.
Tintin has shown a strong curiosity toward cats and small animals, so she would do best in a home without them.
There are still things she is learning, such as car rides and everyday routines. But Tintin is a young dog with so much potential, and with a little patience and love, she will grow into a truly wonderful companion.
Tintin may not be the kind of dog who opens up to everyone right away. But for the person who takes the time to understand her, she will offer a deep, sincere, and lasting bond.
A small life that once began in a cold cage is now ready to learn what it means to be loved in a warm home. Tintin is waiting for a forever family who will walk gently beside her, one step at a time. 🤍
