Story
Hi! My name is Danchu. 🤍 I'm a 4-year-old Jindo mix boy weighing about 23 kg (51 lbs). I was rescued just before my time ran out at a shelter after living as a stray, and now I'm hoping my next chapter will be with my forever family. I'm a big, handsome guy with tiny little bean-shaped eyes that everyone falls in love with. I might look serious at first glance, but don't let my tough appearance fool you—I’m actually a big sweetheart who can't stop wagging my tail whenever I meet people. People are my favorite! Whether we've just met or have known each other for years, I'll happily come over to say hello and ask for pets. If you scratch me, you'll see the biggest smile on my face. I do have a soft spot for men and tend to gravitate toward them in a crowd, but I love kind women just as much and enjoy making friends with everyone. I also get along well with other dogs. As long as we have a polite introduction, I'm happy to go for walks, relax together, or even play with calm dog friends. Very energetic or overly excited dogs can be a little overwhelming for me, so I usually choose to give them some space. There is one thing I'd like you to know about me—I'm a little protective of my food. I can live with another dog if everyone respects each other's space, but meals and treats should always be given separately. Because of that, I think I'd be happiest as your one and only dog, soaking up all of your love and attention. Outside, I'm full of energy! I could spend hours exploring trails, walking, or running through a grassy field. But once we're back home, I turn into a completely different dog. I'm calm, quiet, and happy to relax. Toys aren't really my thing—I much prefer nose work games or finding a cozy spot to nap. I think my favorite part about myself is that I know when it's time to play and when it's time to unwind. Walks are the highlight of my day! The moment I see my leash, I get so excited. I may pull a little at the beginning because I can't wait to get outside, but after I've settled down, I walk comfortably alongside my person. One more thing… I absolutely love being petted! You can rub just about anywhere, and I'll happily soak up the attention. The only exception is if you hold onto my front paws for too long—I might gently put my mouth on your hand as my polite way of saying, "Okay, that's enough!" I never mean to hurt anyone; I'm just letting you know how I feel. I usually do all of my potty business during walks and don't normally have accidents indoors. Like many dogs, I may need a little time to adjust in a brand-new home, so a few accidents at first are possible, but once I settle into a routine, I do very well. My crate is my safe little bedroom. When I want some quiet time, I happily go inside on my own to relax. There are just a couple of things to keep me safe. Fast-moving animals like cats and birds can trigger my instinct to chase, so I'd do best in a home without cats. And because I get excited about adventures, it's important to keep me securely leashed on walks and be careful when opening doors, since I might try to dash outside to see what's waiting for me. Even though I was abandoned once, I never stopped loving people. I still greet every new person with a wagging tail and hope that maybe, just maybe, I've found someone who will love me forever. All I want now is a family who will never give up on me. In return, I'll fill your days with loyalty, companionship, and endless love. Will you be my forever family? 🤍

Story
Hi! My name is Yakgwa. 🤍 I'm a 2-year-old Jindo mix boy weighing about 19 kg (42 lbs). I was rescued from a shelter where I was at risk of euthanasia, and now I'm hoping to find the family I've always dreamed of. I may look like a big, sturdy boy, but I'm really just a gentle soul who loves being close to my people. When we first meet, I might be a little shy. I like to take a moment to figure out if you're kind and safe. But if you give me a little patience, I'll quickly open my heart. Before you know it, I'll be leaning against you for pets and following you around because being near my favorite person is one of my happiest places. I love people, and I get along well with other dogs too. I'm polite with canine friends and enjoy saying hello, but I'm not the type who needs to wrestle or play all day. I actually prefer a peaceful life, which means I'd be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home where I can soak up all of your love. One thing I'm really proud of is how nicely I walk on a leash! I rarely pull and enjoy walking beside my person. Once in a while I might decide I don't want to go a certain direction and stop for a moment (I guess you could call it my tiny stubborn streak!), but with a little encouragement I'm happy to keep going. Even if we pass cats during our walks, I calmly walk by without trying to chase them. At home, loud noises like the vacuum or hair dryer can surprise me, so I may bark for a moment. If someone comes to the door, I'll let you know that we have a visitor, but I'm not aggressive at all. I usually do my potty business during walks. If the weather is bad and we can't go outside, I can pee indoors. When I first move into a new home, I might have a few accidents while I'm adjusting, but with patience and a consistent routine, I'll settle in quickly. I'm also comfortable spending time by myself, so I don't have separation anxiety. I have a great appetite, I'm not picky with food, and I happily take my medications and NexGard without any fuss. Everyone tells me I'm such an easy, cooperative boy. I'm still learning about life, but the one thing I already know is how to love with my whole heart. If you let me adjust at my own pace and give me the chance to trust you, I'll be your loyal companion through every season of life. I've already experienced what it's feels like to lose everything once. Now I'm wishing for something simple—a forever family to love, peaceful walks together, cozy evenings at home, and a lifetime of happy memories. Could that family be you? 🤍

Story
Hi! My name is Poongsan. 🤍 I'm a 2-year-old Pungsan Jindo mix, weighing about 18 kg (40 lbs). I'm neutered, healthy, and ready to start the life I've never had—the life of a beloved family dog. Before I was rescued, I spent my puppyhood living at the foot of a mountain. My job wasn't to play or explore the world like most puppies. I was tied up alone to help keep wild boars away. Because of that, I missed out on so many things that other dogs get to experience. I never learned what it was like to have dog friends, sleep inside a home, or spend my days surrounded by people who loved me. Eventually, my owner surrendered me, and that's when my second chance began. The first thing you should know about me is that I absolutely love people. I always want to be close to my humans. I love attention, affection, and being included in whatever you're doing. If you stop petting me too soon, I might gently grab your sleeve with my mouth—not because I'm being aggressive, but because I'm still learning the right way to say, "Please don't stop. I love being with you." When I first arrived at the rescue, I didn't really know how to interact with other dogs. Since I'd spent my whole life tied up alone, I simply never had the chance to learn. At first I was unsure and sometimes a little defensive, but with patient guidance and positive experiences, I've learned so much. Now I enjoy spending time with my dog friends and continue to improve every day. I'm still learning, though. Sometimes, when I get overly excited, I need my person to calmly and confidently remind me of the rules. I do best with a family that will provide clear, consistent boundaries instead of letting me make my own decisions. Structure helps me feel safe and understand what's expected of me. Because I was neutered later in life, I occasionally display mounting behavior, but I'm already learning that this isn't appropriate and continue to improve with consistent training. Although I'm physically two years old, my life experiences are more like those of a young puppy. Many everyday things are completely new to me. I've never lived inside a home before, so I'll need patience while I learn house manners. I may have a few potty accidents at first, but with a regular schedule and kind guidance, I'll quickly begin to understand my new routine. I'm not a picky eater at all! I enjoy all kinds of food, although I prefer eating smaller meals throughout the day instead of one large meal. Please don't think of me as a dog with problems. I'm simply a dog who was never given the chance to learn. Everything I know now has come from people who believed in me, and every day I become a little more confident, a little more polite, and a little more ready for family life. What I need isn't just love—I need someone who will teach me, guide me, and celebrate each little milestone with me. In return, I'll give you my whole heart, my endless loyalty, and the joy of watching a dog truly discover what it means to be loved. I've spent enough of my life tied to a chain. Now I'm ready to spend the rest of it by your side. Will you be the family that finally shows me what home feels like? 🤍

Story
Hi, I'm Hoya. 💛🐾 My name is Hoya, and I'm a 2-year-old girl weighing about 10 kg. When we first meet, I might seem a little quiet and shy. I like to take my time getting to know new people. But if you're patient with me, you'll discover that I'm actually a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to share gentle cuddles and quiet moments with the people I trust. Before I was rescued, I arrived at a municipal shelter with a fractured back leg. Thankfully, it healed beautifully on its own, and the veterinarian confirmed that I didn't need surgery. Today, I live a happy, active life—I enjoy my walks, play with my dog friends, and don't let my past slow me down. One of my favorite things in the world is making dog friends! I get along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and love having companions to play with. If you already have a friendly dog at home, I think we'd have so much fun together. I'd also be perfectly happy as your one and only, as long as I have a family who loves me. I love people too, but I don't rush into new friendships. I can be a little cautious around strangers, especially adult men I've never met before. Please don't take it personally—I just need a little time to feel safe. Once I know you're kind, I'll choose to come to you on my own, and before long you'll see my affectionate, loving personality shine through. Walks are one of my favorite parts of the day. I don't pull much on the leash and naturally enjoy walking at my person's pace. Loud traffic, fluttering signs, and other everyday sights don't bother me very much. Even when I spot birds or small animals, I'm usually more curious than excited. I'm also a very easy companion to live with. I rarely bark, I'm comfortable riding in the car, and I'm calm and cooperative during vet visits. I take my medication without a fuss and I'm not a picky eater either. I'm quite independent, too. If my family leaves the room, I may whine softly for a moment, but I settle down quickly and wait patiently. I've even stayed home alone for a few hours without any problems. There are still a few things I'd love to learn with my forever family. I haven't had much training yet, so commands like "sit," "down," and "paw" will all be new adventures for us. When I first arrive in a new home, I may have a few potty accidents while I'm adjusting, but once I understand that it's my home, I settle into a reliable outdoor potty routine. If I had to describe myself in just a few words, I'd say I'm… Gentle. Kind. Loyal. A friend to everyone I love. I may need a little time to settle into my new life, but if you can be patient and love me for who I am, I promise I'll reward you with unwavering trust and a lifetime of quiet companionship. I've already overcome the hardest chapter of my life. Maybe the happiest chapter… is the one we'll write together. 💛

**🏠 Currently  in a Toronto  foster home** Hi, my name is Soonsu! 🐾 I'm a 2-year-old male Jindo, around 20kg (about 44 lbs), and I’m so excited to finally introduce myself to you! I’ve had a bit of a rough start in life. I was rescued just in time before facing a very sad fate, and since then, I’ve been working really hard to become the best boy I can be. I grew up in a shelter with my puppy friends, and now I’m in training school where I’ve been learning all about how to connect with people and live happily in a home. And let me tell you—I absolutely love people! I mean it. I prefer spending time with humans way more than with other dogs. Sometimes, I might gently jump up to get your attention—it’s just my way of saying, “Please love me!” If you pet me or give me a hug, I’ll be the happiest pup in the world. I crave affection and love being your shadow. I’m also super smart and super food-motivated, so treats are a great way to help me learn. Training? Bring it on! I focus really well when snacks are involved and I'm always eager to please. Now, I’ve never lived in a home before, so house life might be a little confusing for me at first. I might have some accidents in the beginning, but I promise I’ll try my best to learn quickly—especially if you’re patient and kind with me. I don’t get shy around new people at all. Whether we’ve just met or we’ve known each other forever, I open my heart easily. I’m just a big lovebug who wants to be part of a family where I can finally feel safe, loved, and at home. So, if you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and happy pup who will love you with his whole heart—I’m your Soonsu. 🧡 I’m ready for a fresh start and a forever family. Could that be you? With love,

Story
🏠 Currently  in a Vancouver foster homeHi, my name is Tintin 🐾I was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea together with my littermate, Toto. I had to survive day by day in a cold, narrow wire cage, but thankfully I was given a second chance at life through rescue. Now, for the very first time, I am learning what it means to be part of a real, loving family.Tintin is a 1-year-old young puppy. Everything is still new, and the world is full of things she is just beginning to discover. When she meets new people or finds herself in unfamiliar environments, she may take a step back and observe carefully. This isn’t out of fear, but rather because she is still learning about the world at her own pace.It may take a little time for her to fully open her heart, but once trust is built, Tintin shows a deeply devoted and special kind of love. She enjoys quietly leaning against the people she loves, staying close as if to say, “I feel safe with you.” In her foster home, she has been building a strong bond with her caregiver and is showing more stability and comfort each day.Within the home—her familiar space—Tintin can be a bit thoughtful and cautious around new people. She prefers to take her time observing and understanding a situation first, but with calm guidance and patience from her caregiver, she gradually relaxes and becomes more at ease. As a young dog still learning about the world, she needs a family who will not rush her, but instead allow her the time she needs.Tintin can live with other dogs and does especially well with calm, easygoing companions. Interestingly, she shows a much brighter and more playful side outside the home—at the dog park, she enjoys running and interacting happily with other dogs. She is still learning when it comes to things she values, like food or toys. However, Tintin is a smart and observant puppy, and with gentle, consistent guidance, she will continue to grow in a positive direction.Tintin has shown a strong curiosity toward cats and small animals, so she would do best in a home without them. There are still things she is learning, such as car rides and everyday routines. But Tintin is a young dog with so much potential, and with a little patience and love, she will grow into a truly wonderful companion.Tintin may not be the kind of dog who opens up to everyone right away. But for the person who takes the time to understand her, she will offer a deep, sincere, and lasting bond.A small life that once began in a cold cage is now ready to learn what it means to be loved in a warm home. Tintin is waiting for a forever family who will walk gently beside her, one step at a time. 🤍
