Story
Guksoo is still looking for a loving family He is currently fostered in Barrie, ON. Guksoo is a neutered Jindo mix boy who is about 4 years old.He can be shy at first, but slowly warms up over time, and tends to trust women more than men. Deep down he loves people and wants to be with them all the time! When he first came into his foster home, he was very shy but would timidly ask for pets by slowly pawing at the humans. Now, he has become more social and will come up to strangers with a wagging tail to ask for pets and treats! He still continues to paw at his foster parents when he wants attention, and loves to snuggle and give kisses first thing in the morning. He is okay and gentle with kids, but can be startled by sudden movements. After some time, good food, and lots of walks, he will open up and give you lots of kisses and hugs When it comes to other dogs, Guksoo LOVES to play! And especially loves girl dogs. He loves to run and play with his doggy friends and is excited to play with both new and familiar friends. With his foster sibling, he loves to groom her and give her lots of kisses. However, he is still learning that not all dogs like to play, especially on leash, and he can get a bit frustrated when he sees another dog on a walk that he cant say hi to. He is learning how to be neutral to other dogs while walking and responds well to his handler. He has a medium energy level, he loves going for walks and exploring, and rests well once at home. He has a low prey drive and ignores cats when he meets them while on walks, but sometimes likes to chase birds and squirrels. He is currently fostered with bunnies and lived with a cat for a short time, he is very gentle with them and leaves them alone after a quick sniff. On walks, Guksoo can be a bit excited at first but will eventually relax and walk by his handler’s side, occasionally stopping to sniff. He rarely pulls unless he sees another dog or a small animal but is easily redirected. He is fully potty trained outdoors. Guksoo Rarely barks, only when a stranger knocks on the door or if something new startles him. He has no destructive behaviours and can be left alone in the home without any issues. He loves to chew and enjoys playing with his chew toys or a long lasting treat.  Will you welcome this sweet boy into your family? Story
Meet Tommy, a 1-2-year-old neutered male Jindo/lab mix with a handsome brown coat, weighing 16.5kg. Rescued from a city shelter, this independent yet playful boy is looking for a home that appreciates his unique personality and adventurous spirit. Tommy isn’t the type to shower strangers with instant affection—he’s more of a “cool guy” who keeps to himself at first. He won’t go out of his way to greet new people, but if you offer him a treat, he’ll gladly accept it and warm up. Once he decides you’re worth his time, he’ll let you pet him, but at the end of the day, he’s mostly interested in what he wants—food, playtime, or exploring his surroundings. Think of him as a teenage boy with a mind of his own! When it comes to other dogs, Tommy is enthusiastic and eager to interact. He approaches new friends with confidence, sometimes a bit too much! He plays well with dogs who enjoy rough-and-tumble fun, especially those his size or larger, but his bold style can be overwhelming for more reserved dogs. He tends to ignore smaller dogs and doesn’t get along well with other males who act tough despite being weaker. His experience with cats is limited, but he watches them with curiosity during walks. However, if his handler guides him away, he follows without resistance. A cat test can be arranged if needed. Tommy has a moderate energy level—he enjoys outdoor adventures but knows how to relax afterward. Since he’s still young and loves to burn off energy, he’d do best with an active owner who can keep up with his playful spirit. Off-leash, Tommy has his own agenda and may not always come when called. But once on a leash, he transforms into an attentive companion, making good eye contact and engaging well with his handler. While he’s still building confidence in new environments, overall, he walks nicely and follows his person’s lead. Food is a big motivator for Tommy, and while he doesn’t guard his own meals, he’s quick to try and grab food from another dog if given the chance. If the other dog objects, a scuffle could break out, so supervision during mealtime is recommended. He’s crate-trained and generally prefers doing his business outdoors. If you’re looking for an adventurous and playful companion who brings both independence and charm, Tommy might just be the perfect fit for you! Story
Juju's owner has passed away and she needs a new homeShe's currently in NANAIMO, BC *** She’s currently taking Methimazole for thyroid neoplasia, over 85% chance it is malignant. Please donate to our GoFundMe for her Thyroid Neoplasia Treatmenthttps://gofund.me/2caa80e5 She's a Jindo mix spayed girl, about 9 years old and 13 kg Juju likes people, and will follow you well once she gets to know you. She will need time because she can feel awkward to meet strangers in unfamiliar environments. She has good walking manners, but is sometimes afraid of cats or birds. Juju is gentle and quiet, and hardly barks in vain. She plays well alone with her toy ball. As she doesn’t know how to hang out with other dog friends, she needs some time to get along with other dogs. No other dogs or cats in the home will be ideal. She really doesn’t like it if someone suddenly touches her tail, privates, paws or her side. She eats dog food well and is ok self-feeding. Her favourite snack is chicken breast, dried duck wings and dried pollack. Ready to meet Juju? Story
Huchu is still waiting for his furever home! He's is a Jindo mix neutered boy, about 2-3 years old and 22kg. Huchu loves all people, including kids. He shows his affection by asking for pets and belly rubs and lots of tail wagging. He also loves other dogs and is a great playmate for them. He is a little too interested in cats, so needs a home with no feline friends. Huchu is a high energy boy. He would be a great running buddy. His leash manners are good, but he is still very curious about the world. He's not crate trained, but will stay well. He is housebroken. He has no aggression or possessiveness towards food or toys. Huchu is not a flight risk. He only barks when someone enters the home but settles down. Huchu was found on the street and sent to a kill shelter. Story
Meet Lily, a four-year-old, spayed Jindo mix girl with a beautiful yellow coat and a solid 20kg frame. Lily is a sweet, timid girl who needs a gentle and patient companion to bring out her best self. She’s not one for forced interactions or being picked up, as these situations can overwhelm her. While she has no aggression whatsoever, her go-to response when afraid is to avoid and retreat. A calm and understanding adopter who enjoys the process of building trust—perhaps with treats and positive reinforcement—would be the perfect match for her. Lily tends to freeze up if strangers try to touch her, though she tolerates it without protest. She’s not naturally outgoing, but her subtle displays of affection, like a wagging tail in the morning to greet her primary caregiver, are incredibly rewarding. While she’s okay with being petted and even kissed, she doesn’t actively seek attention and may show slight discomfort. Because of her sensitivity, Lily would not do well in a home with young children, as their unpredictable movements and rough handling might stress her out. When it comes to other dogs, Lily can be selective. She may engage in conflict if another dog provokes her or if they’re overly excitable or nervous. She’s best introduced to new canine friends carefully, as she prefers to avoid greetings with unfamiliar dogs during walks. Despite this, she has no issues sharing space with compatible, calm dogs. While she has no resource guarding issues with humans, she may growl if another dog approaches her food. Outdoorsy adopters will be thrilled to know that Lily is a seasoned walker who loves hiking and exploring nature. She walks beautifully on the leash without pulling and has a balanced energy level—active and engaged outdoors but calm and relaxed at home after a good outing. Lily’s also a great travel companion. She’s a pro in the car, calmly riding in a kennel or hopping in and out of vehicles on her own with just a little guidance. She’s mostly an outdoor potty dog and is easy to manage in this regard. With her gentle demeanor, hiking-ready attitude, and polite leash manners, Lily is ready to be a loyal companion to someone who will appreciate her subtle charm and respect her boundaries. Ahim is an incredibly sweet and intelligent puppy who picks up on things quickly. He’s very intuitive and knows what not to do—even without being taught. Amazingly, he figured out potty training all on his own! Ahim gets along well with his current foster sibling, a shy dog, and knows how to respect their space. He’s a gentle soul who knows how to wait his turn and enjoys companionship. Although he’s still learning to love bath time (he’s a bit afraid of water), he is otherwise very easygoing and well-behaved. Favorites: • Squeaky toys • Treats like duck and chicken gizzards • Human attention and playtime Ahim is a wonderful puppy with great potential, ready to become a beloved member of a forever family.
