Story
Damfour was saved from the streets of Thailand by our partners at the Soi Dog Foundation in June and was brought here to be welcomed into his forever home! On the streets Damfour was always at risk of being mistreated, injured, or worse. He's now safely hanging out in a foster home with one of our TBL Soi Dog alums for a foster sis. Here is an update from his foster mom:""We call him Dino! And at first, we thought his name was a bit of an oxymoron because he was one scared Dinosaur… but he did a huge 180 after a week with us, and his silly, sweet, and sassy personality is starting to come out! He loves cuddling super close/on top of our rescue pup Koda and his foster mom on the couch (and if he feels he isn’t getting enough attention, he will push his paws into foster mom’s stomach). He also loves giving all of us kisses (including Koda), going for walks (he likes to walk as the caboose, not in the front), he likes meat treats specifically except he just starting eating greenies this week too, and he likes chewing on his stuffed animals. Like a lot of our shy fosters, he is still spooked out by loud or unusual noises. When we first got him less than 2 weeks ago, his tail was between his legs and he was very shy. Dino acts so different now and he looks so much more confident! But it’s important to have his leash tightly secured around our wrists because an usual sound or person can still really frazzle him and he will jolt quickly under our legs or in a random direction. We think he’d do great in a house with other pups or if he has a house without other dogs then the family would need to continue to take him out so that his confidence keeps developing! Dino is house trained, adorable, and he is getting really close to being able to catch a fly in his mouth 😂. We can tell from our week and a half with Dino in foster that he has an adorable personality and the humans who are willing to put in the effort to show him their world will gain a very special family member!""Damfour is a great compact size of 33 pounds and he turns 3 in December (DOB December 2019). While he may need a little time to warm up to new people, it typically doesn't take him long until he's ready to be showered in affection. Damfour will likely do best with an experienced handler willing to take a bit of time to socialize him and get him comfortable with his awesome new life. He is a sweet dog full of potential, and would love to meet the person eager to show him all life has to offer. Maybe that's you! f you would like to meet him, apply today at www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt or by clicking the ""meet me"" button from our website!Watch a video of Damfour here: https://youtube.com/shorts/BN2SynzJE_M?feature=shareTo initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below. Story
Meet Disa!DOB: July 2022Weight: 38 lbsDisposition: Sweet, Gentle, PlayfulHistory: Abandoned on the streets of Thailand as a tiny puppy. Alone and vulnerable Disahad little chance of surviving as she had no skills to deal with the dangers of street life.Luckily, a kind lady noticed that she had been abandoned and was at risk of being bitten by theterritorial packs of dogs that surrounded her. Soi Dog Foundation's rescue team collected me and broughtme to the shelter for safety and care. My needs: As I am still a puppy I will need you to show me what is expected of a pet. Best Home: More confident when with a friend so if you have a playful resident dog it would a great match! Disa is a playful girl so going for walks and playing with a ball is a must.Amazing Qualities: Always appeasing and such a loving girl, but I love to play fetch! <3If you're interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA.
