Story
Layla was rescued 8 years ago from a shelter in Korea. She was rescued from the meat industry, and is extremely shy because of this. She underwent training to accept a collar and leash and to allow to be touched. Layla thrives on routine and is a very good girl. Although she isnt affectionate, she can be petted. She loves other dogs and running outside playing. Layla is great with children, all people, dogs and cats. Although shy, she is never aggressive. Layla would love to go to a home with at least one other dog and requires a fully fenced yard.   Please visit our website www.pawsaboverescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
✨✨ Youngsil ✨✨ Jindo Beagle Mix | Male | 5 years (born November, 2019) | 32 lbs | Tan with dark brown | Neutered | Vaccinated | 💖s: 1=Challenging .. 5=Great! Good with male adults: 💖💖💖💖💖 Good with female adults: 💖💖💖💖💖(1~5) Good with kids: 💖💖💖 (1~5) Good with other dogs: 💖💖💖💖💖 (1~5)1 Good with cats? 💖💖💖💖💖 (1~5) Character: brave, playful, gentle, loyal, curious, funny, smart, fast learner Vaccination: up to date Foster Location: Kitchener Diet info: Kibble (Stella and Chewy, Honest Kitchen), Beef, Chicken Rescue Story Meet Youngsil – A Story of Resilience, Growth, and Hope Youngsil’s story is one of extraordinary resilience. Born into a crowded shelter housing over 1,600 dogs, he spent four long years waiting patiently for a chance at a better life. In early 2024, that chance finally came. Youngsil was rescued and brought to Canada where he has been living with a loving foster family ever since. About Youngsil Youngsil is smart, brave, loyal, sweet, and joyful. He’s one of the brightest dogs that Eight Paws has ever helped rescue, which makes it so odd and sad that he’s not found his forever home yet. After more than a year with a foster family, we’re certain how wonderful this young boy is. He greets them (the foster family humans) in the morning when everyone wakes up. He greets them when they come home. He spins in circles when he gets excited (especially for food!). He’s happy and energetic but also calm and obedient. For example, like most dogs, he doesn’t like nail trimmings, but he’ll sit and endure it every time his foster family says “Youngsil, sit!”. (And being the character he is, he often groans a little as he sits to say “I really don’t want to, but I’ll do it for you.”) As a rescue dog, he’s still working on some issues, like separation anxiety. But we’ve never seen a dog try harder and learn faster than Youngsil. He’s smart and knows what’s going on and how to live with humans (and other dogs), but the poor boy was literally born in a cage and spent the first 4 years of his life in that cage–alone most of the time. So the progress he’s made in the last year is astounding. Except when he’s really stressed or scared, he’s practically a normal, happy dog. Youngsil needs a house with a backyard to run around in, a family to love him (and for him to greet and share his joy with), and he’d really like another dog to play and walk with, too. (He’s really friendly and social with other dogs, but he’s still learning some “dog language.”) He’s ready to be the perfect family dog that everyone grows up with, who goes along on family adventures, and who the family can’t imagine living without. If your family is ready to adopt this amazing young boy who earned the nickname “Brave Boy”, contact us.
