MY RESCUE STORY
My previous owner was an elderly man who lived alone and relied on government assistance. He was our family and the only home we had ever known. Sadly, he passed away after struggling with a chronic illness, and just like that, we suddenly lost both our person and our home.
For a long time, we had been living in difficult conditions without even proper ventilation. After our owner passed away, there was no one left to care for us, and eventually we were brought to the shelter.
Everything we knew changed so suddenly, and we couldn’t understand why our familiar person and home were gone. Despite everything we’ve been through, we’ve now been given the chance to start over.
We’re ready to leave those difficult days behind and find loving forever families where we can finally experience the comfort, stability, and care every dog deserves. All we’re missing now is a safe place to call home again.
MY HEALTH
All vaccinations up-to-date
Healthy with no known health issues
MY PERSONALITY
I’m smaller than my sibling, Minam, and I’m a delicate, sensitive little princess at heart. I may need a little extra time and reassurance when experiencing something new, but once I feel safe, my sweet and affectionate personality begins to shine.
I’m gentle by nature and find a lot of comfort in the people and dogs I trust. Give me patience, kindness, and a little time to blossom, and I’ll show you just how loving this tiny princess can be.
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I’m a little shyer than my sibling, Minam, so I may need some extra time to feel comfortable when we first meet. Treats are a great way to win me over, and I’ll happily take them gently from your hand while I get to know you.
I may take things at a slower pace, but I promise I’m worth the wait! Once I feel safe and realize I can trust you, I’ll start coming out of my shell and showing you just how affectionate I can be. Before long, you’ll be getting plenty of love and kisses from me.
Despite my shy nature, I did wonderfully during my profile photoshoot and showed everyone that with a little patience and encouragement, I can adjust beautifully to new people and experiences.
· With Dogs: I’m more independent when it comes to my dog friends and don’t have much interest in playing or constantly interacting with them. I’m usually perfectly happy doing my own thing.
That said, having a familiar dog nearby can bring me a lot of emotional comfort and help me feel more secure. I can form deep bonds with dogs I know and trust, and those special friendships can be an important source of reassurance for me.
At the care facility, I often follow my sibling Minam around and look to him for comfort and confidence. I would do well with a calm, compatible dog sibling who I can gradually build a close bond with, but I don’t need a highly playful canine companion.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I have a low energy level and enjoy a slower, more relaxed lifestyle. I love spending some time outside soaking up the sunshine, getting fresh air, and quietly taking in my surroundings.
I don’t require a lot of exercise to feel happy and fulfilled. After some gentle outdoor time, I’m more than content heading back inside to curl up somewhere cozy and enjoy plenty of snuggles with my people.
TRAINING & HABITS
I’m still working on perfecting my leash manners and may pull at times, but overall I follow my handler’s lead nicely. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs.
I’m a quiet girl who rarely barks, and I already know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel.
Car rides can still make me nervous, and I’m also prone to motion sickness, so I’ll need some extra preparation and support for longer trips. For now, being close to someone I trust helps me feel more secure during car rides.
For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With a consistent routine in my forever home, I should continue adjusting nicely.
MY IDEAL HOME
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment
• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout
• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together
• A family that will love and cherish me forever
• Ideally, an environment where both me and my sibling Minam can be adopted together – but not an absolute requirement
SPECIAL NOTES
The cutest thing happened during my profile photoshoot. Even though I was feeling shy, I still happily ate plenty of treats! It was a perfect little glimpse of my personality and showed that I really just need some time, patience, and a few tasty snacks to feel safe. I tend to open up relatively quickly once I realize I’m surrounded by kind people.
Once I start trusting you, I become very attached and love following you around. I look to the people I trust for emotional comfort and reassurance, and being close to you helps me feel safe.
I may not show you my whole personality the moment we meet, but give me a little time, and you’ll see just how affectionate and devoted I can be. Once you become my person, I’ll happily be your sweet little shadow.
