Story
MEET DONGI — NOW IN TORONTO!   Our sweet Dongi has arrived in Toronto and is ready to find her forever family!   Dongi is an 8-month-old, 15kg Jindo mix with a wonderfully friendly and affectionate personality. She loves people, enjoys making new friends, and is always happy to receive some love and attention.   About Dongi   • Age: 8 months • Weight: 15kg • Sex: Spayed female • Breed: Jindo mix • Currently fostered in Toronto, ON   Social with People   Dongi is a very affectionate and people-friendly girl. She is comfortable not only with people she knows but also with new people, happily approaching them for attention and pets.   She has also done very well with children and is comfortable being handled. She loves affection and isn’t shy about showing her belly for some tummy rubs!   Social with Other Dogs   Dongi enjoys meeting other dogs and is friendly with dogs of different sizes. She likes to approach, say hello, and invite them to play.   She isn’t looking for trouble either — if another dog is confrontational or tries to provoke her, Dongi generally prefers to move away and avoid conflict.   Cats   Dongi has experience living with cats and previously shared a home with them for about three months. She also tends to remain focused on her person when seeing cats during walks rather than becoming overly interested in them.   Energy & Walks   Dongi is still young and has plenty of puppy energy! She benefits from regular walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. Once she’s had enough exercise, she’s able to settle down and relax nicely at home.   She generally follows her handler well on walks, although she may still pull on the leash at times. Continued leash training will help her as she matures. ‍   At Home   Uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas Rarely barks No food guarding toward people or other dogs Affectionate and people-oriented Social with other dogs Has lived with cats   Dongi has grown into such a lovely young girl, and now that she’s already in Toronto, we’re hoping the right family will finally notice her.   If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, social young dog to become part of your family, Dongi may just be the one you’ve been waiting for. Story
Meet Nita (formerly Joan) Currently in Oregon City, US   Age: 8 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Ivory Weight: Approx. 37 lbs (16.8 kg) Height: 43 cm / 17 in at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Nita was rescued from a dog meat farm in Korea, where she was given a second chance at life.   She was later adopted in the U.S. and has continued to blossom in her new environment. Due to a change in her adopter’s personal circumstances, Nita is now looking for a new forever family through no fault of her own.   Social with People   Nita is a sweet, affectionate, and goofy young girl who bonds closely with her people.   She was very friendly with both familiar people and strangers while in Korea, readily approaching people for affection and even showing her belly to people she had just met.   Since arriving in the U.S., she can be a little cautious around unfamiliar people at first, but she does well with gentle guidance and has become increasingly comfortable exploring new places and busier environments.   Social with Dogs   Nita is social and friendly with other dogs. She has done well with dogs of various sizes and enjoys greeting and spending time with them.   She was raised around other dogs in Korea and was comfortable sharing her environment with them. She generally avoids confrontation and tends to move away from dogs that are overly pushy or intense.   Nita loves her food and may try to sneak a bite from another dog’s bowl, so separate feeding can be helpful in a multi-dog home.   Cats & Other Animals   Nita has not lived with a cat, so her response to cats is currently unknown. A cat test may be available upon request.   Her response to farm animals has not been assessed.   Energy Level   Nita is a playful young dog with a moderate puppy energy level. She enjoys walks, exploring outdoors, playing, and spending time with her people, but she is also able to settle and relax after activity.   Walks & Training   Nita enjoys exploring on walks. She is curious but may occasionally hesitate when she encounters something unfamiliar or intimidating. With patience and gentle encouragement, she follows along well.   Her recall is still a work in progress, so she should always remain securely leashed outdoors while continuing her training.   At Home   Nita is house-trained and does well in her crate. She rarely barks and settles nicely indoors.   As a young rescue dog, she will continue to benefit from consistency, positive reinforcement, and a family willing to give her the time she needs to adjust to another new environment.   Nita is a sweet, goofy, affectionate young girl who has already been through many changes in her short life. She is looking for a committed family who will give her the stability, patience, and love she deserves.   Oregon City, US PLEASE ALSO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM! QUICK FACTS Name: Margot Age: 8 months old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Black, white Weight:  10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I was rescued from a neglectful situation where I had been purchased to chase and hunt wild boars in an area where they were frequently seen. Instead of being treated as a beloved companion, I spent my days tied up outside without even a proper dog house to keep me safe and comfortable. Thankfully, that life is behind me now. I was rescued and given the chance to finally experience the care, security, and kindness every dog deserves. Despite everything I went through, I’m a sweet and gentle girl who is learning that life can be about so much more than simply surviving. Now I’m ready for a home where I’ll never be left tied up or treated like a tool again, but cherished as a true member of the family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m super friendly with people and love making new friends! I happily greet new people and am always excited to receive plenty of pets, attention, and affection. I’m comfortable being close to people and happily allow myself to be picked up and held. Despite everything I experienced in my past, I haven’t lost my trust in people. I have such a sweet and affectionate nature, and I’m always happy to soak up the love and kindness that comes my way. · With Dogs: I like greeting new dogs and am happy to make new canine friends, but I don’t usually jump straight into play. I prefer taking things at my own pace and am often perfectly content doing my own thing. I generally get along best with dogs around my own size and appreciate canine friends who are calm and respectful. High energy or overly playful dogs can sometimes feel a little overwhelming for me, so I’m happiest around dogs who understand my boundaries and are comfortable enjoying a more relaxed friendship. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best match for my future home. During walks, I sometimes notice cats and watch them with curiosity, but I quickly lose interest and happily continue on my way.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners and can pull at times, especially at the beginning of a walk when I’m excited to finally get out and explore. After spending most of my life tied to a short chain, there’s so much of the world I’m eager to discover! Once I’ve had a chance to walk and settle into my surroundings, I calm down and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I still have plenty of puppy like curiosity and love sniffing, exploring, and taking in everything around me. I’m generally a quiet girl who rarely barks and already know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors, although I’m showing a preference for doing my business outside. I also love playing with toys and am a very smart girl who picks up new commands quickly. I enjoy following the volunteers and staff around and naturally want to stay close to the people I trust. With my forever family, I know I’ll form a strong bond and grow into an incredibly loyal companion. After spending so much of my life tied up with such a limited world around me, I’m ready to discover everything life has to offer alongside a family of my own.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally an active family as I am an energetic girl!   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet, smart, and loyal girl who is finally getting the chance to discover how exciting life can be. After spending most of my life tied to a short chain without even a proper dog house, having the freedom to explore, play, and simply be a dog is still something very special to me. That’s why I can get extra excited at the beginning of my walks. There’s just so much to see! Once I’ve had a chance to settle in, I calm down and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I still have so much puppy like curiosity in me. I love playing with toys, exploring my surroundings, and learning new things. I’m also incredibly smart and pick up new commands very quickly. I love following the volunteers and staff around, and the more comfortable I become with someone, the more my affectionate and loyal nature shines through. Considering the life I came from, everyone is amazed by how friendly and trusting I remain. I’m ready for a family who will give me the experiences I missed out on and show me what it feels like to be cherished as a true companion. In return, I know I’ll form a deep bond with my people and become an incredibly devoted and loyal best friend.   MARGOT'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2830472##

Story
Meet Joan – A Sweet and Gentle Jindo Mix Puppy Looking for Her Forever Home   Joan is a beautiful 6-month-old Jindo mix rescued from a dog meat farm, and despite her difficult beginning, she has grown into an incredibly loving, social, and gentle puppy with a heart full of trust and affection.   Name: Joan Age: 6 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Ivory Weight: 10.6kg Height: 43cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Joan was rescued from a dog meat farm and is now ready to start a new chapter filled with love, safety, and happiness.   Social with People Joan absolutely adores people. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers for affection, leans in for pets, and enjoys being touched by everyone — men and women alike. She is comfortable being picked up with arms under her belly and will even roll over to show her belly to people she has just met.   Social with Other Dogs Joan is extremely friendly and playful with other dogs regardless of their size. She enjoys greeting new dogs and inviting them to play. Even around high-energy or pushy dogs, Joan tends to avoid conflict rather than react, and she integrates very naturally into group play without causing trouble.   Cats Joan has not yet been observed around cats, but cat testing can be arranged.   Energy Level She has a moderate energy level. Joan enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once she has had exercise, she settles down calmly and relaxes nicely indoors.   Walks Since Joan does not have extensive walking experience yet, she may hesitate when something unfamiliar or scary appears. However, she is naturally curious and, with a little patience and reassurance, she follows along very well.   Additional Notes Joan does not guard food from people or other dogs and rarely barks. She stays calm and quiet in a kennel. She is a little nervous about getting into the car and usually needs to be lifted in, but once inside she settles well. She generally prefers going potty outdoors.   Joan is a truly sweet-natured puppy who would thrive in a loving home willing to continue helping her build confidence while giving her the affection and stability she deserves.   If you’re looking for a gentle, social, and easygoing companion, Joan may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Hi, everyone! My name is Baram, and I’m a 2-year-old, 13 kg Jindo mix boy looking for my forever family. 🐶🤍 My round, sparkling eyes and my adorable little floppy ears are two of my cutest features! But I think my biggest charm is my loving heart. ❤️ I absolutely love people, especially women! From the very first day I arrived at my foster home, I felt comfortable enough to rest my head on my foster sister’s leg. I’m the kind of dog who loves being close to the people I trust and happily follows them around. 🥰 And I’m not just a people-lover—I love dogs, too! I have wonderful manners when meeting my furry friends and enjoy making new friends. I’m also comfortable around cats, so I’m a very social little guy who loves both humans and animals. 🐶🐱❤️ I’m also a wonderfully quiet boy. I rarely bark at doorbells, vacuum cleaners, or strangers. If I really want something, I might give you one little “Woof!” to let you know. 😂 I’m a great traveler, too! 🚗 I rarely get carsick and ride nicely in the car. I’m also very easy to care for. Even when I don’t particularly enjoy something, I stay calm and patiently let my people take care of me. There is one thing I’d love my forever family to understand about me: I can be a little timid. 🥺 Sudden movements, unfamiliar things, or loud noises can startle me. When I’m scared, though, I don’t bark or growl. Instead, I tuck my tail and stay close to the person I trust until I feel safe again. I’m especially nervous around men with deep, low voices, so I may need a little extra time to feel comfortable. I used to have a hard time being alone, too, but with patience and training from my foster sister, my separation anxiety has improved so much. I’m becoming more confident and independent every day. 🌿 I’m a very good eater and happily enjoy all kinds of food. I’m currently 100% potty trained for outdoor bathroom breaks. As a Jindo mix, I do shed, but regular grooming helps keep my coat manageable. ✨ And please don’t let my photos fool you—I may look a little bigger in pictures, but I’m actually a very manageable 13 kg medium-sized boy! Next to bigger dogs, I can even look quite small. I’m also a size that many women can comfortably pick up. 😊 All I really want is a family who will give me a little time when I’m scared, understand my gentle nature, and love me for who I am. I love people. I love dogs. I love being with my family. And I promise that all the love you give me will come right back to you. ❤️ Please don’t pass me by because I’m a little shy or because you think I might be too big. I’m waiting with my big, round eyes for the family who will choose me and love me forever. 🥺❤️ Could you be my forever family? 🐾

Story
Hi, everyone! My name is Daon, and I’m an 9-month-old, 10 kg girl looking for my forever family. 🐾 I was rescued from the threat of euthanasia, and now I finally have the chance to start a new life. I’m still such a young puppy, which means I have so many happy days and wonderful memories waiting for me with my forever family. I’m a girl who likes both people and dogs. I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but if you give me just a little time, I quickly warm up and come over with my tail wagging. I’m a sweet girl who loves making friends! I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy playing and spending time with new furry friends. 🐶💕 One of my biggest charms is my beautiful coat, which almost looks like a little leopard-print pattern. 😊 Since I’m still a young puppy, I have lots of energy and plenty of curiosity! When I get excited while playing, I might chew on or tear apart my toys as I explore and learn about the world around me. So I’m looking for a family who will give me plenty of time to play, lots of toys to enjoy, and patiently teach me as I grow, understanding that I’m still a young puppy. ❤️ These days, I’m also practicing my walks! I’m still getting used to everything, but I’m learning little by little. With my family by my side, I think I’ll be able to enjoy going on walks even more. 🐾 I’m currently learning to go potty outdoors. Since I may feel nervous or need some time to adjust in a new environment, I might have a few accidents while settling in. But if you give me time and patiently teach me step by step, I know I can learn. 🌿 I’m still only 8 months old, so I’m a very young puppy. Rather than expecting me to be perfect right away, I need a family who will understand my endless puppy energy and little mistakes, and who will learn and grow together with me. I want to meet a family who will teach me what love and patience feel like while I continue learning about the world. I want to go on walks together, run and play to my heart’s content, enjoy my toys, and make happy memories together every single day. 🐶💕 Just as someone rescued me and gave me the chance to start a new life, I’m now waiting for the chance to meet the family I can spend the rest of my life with. I may be a little mischievous right now, but with all the love I receive, I know I’ll grow into an amazing dog. Could you be my forever family? ❤️
