Story
Meet Hayan — A Gentle, Quiet Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home   Name: Hayan Age: 2 years Gender: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Colour: Tan & Brown Weight: 14.7 kg (32.4 lbs) Height: 45 cm (17.7 in)   Her Story   Hayan first entered a shelter in August 2024 as a young puppy with her siblings, without their mother. She spent more than a year there without being adopted.   When the old shelter, which had raised wire-floor cages, was scheduled to be rebuilt, long-term residents were at risk of euthanasia. In late 2025, volunteers stepped in and rescued Hayan, giving her the chance to finally find a home of her own.   With People   Hayan can be shy around new people and prefers a gentle, patient approach. If you approach her slowly and offer treats, she will take them, but she usually needs a little more time before she feels comfortable being touched.   Once she decides someone feels safe, however, a very sweet side of her comes out. She may even turn her back toward you or approach first to ask for pets—even with someone she has only recently met.   Hayan is sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, so she would be happiest in a quiet, calm household rather than a busy home with lots of activity.   She can be picked up with an arm under her belly, although the act of being picked up can make her nervous.   With Other Dogs   Hayan is gentle and reserved with other dogs, much like she is with people. She doesn’t usually rush over to greet or initiate play. Instead, she carefully sniffs and observes before interacting.   She gets along very well with other dogs without conflict and is particularly comfortable with dogs her size or smaller. If a more playful dog encourages her, she may even join in for a short burst of running and play.   With Cats   Hayan has not yet been observed around cats, but cat testing can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level   Low. Hayan is naturally calm and loves spending her time quietly relaxing. She’s not a dog who needs constant activity or entertainment.   On Walks   Hayan walks comfortably in quieter areas. Busy roads with lots of cars can make her nervous, but she follows her handler’s lead well and continues walking with reassurance.   At Home   Hayan is an exceptionally quiet and gentle girl.   No resource guarding with people or dogs No observed barking No observed separation anxiety Calm and comfortable in a kennel/crate Currently accustomed to pottying outdoors Gentle, peaceful temperament   Hayan’s Ideal Home   Hayan isn’t looking for a busy household or an action-packed lifestyle. What she needs most is a peaceful home and someone who will let trust develop at her own pace.   She has already spent far too much of her young life waiting. With patience, stability, and kindness, Hayan has all the potential to become a wonderfully devoted and gentle companion.   Could you be the person who finally shows Hayan what it means to have a home? Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Boco Age: Around 4 months and a half (Born March 24 2026) Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Mixed (Jindo, Spitz, Terrier Mix) Color: White Weight: 6kg / 13lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was born at the care facility after my mom, Butterball, was rescued while pregnant. Thanks to the incredible love and care of the volunteers, my siblings and I have grown up safe, healthy, and surrounded by kindness. While I'm so grateful for the wonderful start I've had, what I really dream about is having a family of my very own. I'm ready to leave the care facility behind and begin a lifetime of adventures, love, and happy memories with my forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY The volunteers and staff say I have the biggest personality out of all my siblings! I'm very expressive and not shy about letting you know what I like and don't like, which they find incredibly charming. They also insist I'm even cuter in person, with an adorable Terrier or Coton de Tuléar look and a soft coat that sheds very little. Most importantly, I have a heart full of love for both people and my dog friends. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion with a unique personality and endless charm, I might just be your perfect match!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely adore people and can't get enough love and attention! I happily greet everyone I meet and am always ready for cuddles and affection. During my profile photoshoot, I spent most of the time snuggled up in the volunteers' arms, soaking up every bit of love they had to give. I'm happy to be picked up, and one of my favorite ways to say "nice to meet you" is by rolling over for a belly rub. With my affectionate personality and endless love to share, I'm sure I'll steal your heart from the very first meeting. · With Dogs: I love playing with my dog friends and am always excited to make new ones! I have a gentle, easygoing personality and prefer to keep the peace rather than get involved in conflict. If another dog is being too pushy or rude, I'll simply walk away instead of arguing. Since I'm still a young boy, I'm continuing to build my confidence and learn good social manners every day. I also have a healthy appetite! While I don't guard my food from people, I do prefer to enjoy my meals without other dogs joining in, so feeding me separately from friends is the best way to help everyone enjoy mealtime peacefully. · With Cats: I've lived with cats for about four months in my previous foster home and did very well with them. I should make a wonderful companion for a respectful, dog-savvy cat who understands my space. With proper introductions, I'm expected to adjust nicely to living with cats again.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm still learning my leash manners and getting better every day! I'm eager to learn and thrive with patient guidance and positive reinforcement. I have excellent manners around people during mealtimes and don't guard my food. Around other dogs, I can be a little sensitive while eating, so I'll do best with thoughtful management, such as enjoying my meals separately. I'm also a very quiet boy who rarely barks and already knows how to settle calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I currently use both pee pads indoors and go potty outside, making me an adaptable companion for my future family.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding I’m a young pup and will need continued socialization training   SPECIAL NOTES I'm a joyful, affectionate boy with a heart as big as my appetite! The volunteers and staff love my friendly personality and say I'm always ready to brighten someone's day. I adore people, love spending time with my dog friends, and am happiest when I'm included in the fun. As a young dog, I'm still learning and growing every day, and with a loving family to guide me, I'm sure I'll blossom into an incredible lifelong companion. If you're looking for a sweet, social, and loyal best friend who will greet you with a wagging tail every day, I might just be the perfect match for you.   BOCO'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2812786##

Story
Some stories begin with loss. Others begin with hope. Stella's story is both. Eight years ago, a gentle little Jindo mix was born in Korea. Life taught Stella to be cautious. The world outside could feel overwhelming, and strangers were often frightening. But through it all, one thing remained constant-her devotion to her beloved son, Steven. Together, they found comfort in one another. When Stella felt uncertain, Steven was there. When Steven needed reassurance, his mother was close by. Their bond became their safe place. Since coming into foster care, Stella has quietly shown just how resilient a heart can be. Day by day, the worried look in her eyes has softened. She has discovered that humans can actually be pretty wonderful-especially the ones who hand out endless tummy rubs, delicious treats, cozy beds, and gentle words. Her weary heart has healed enough to believe that maybe, just maybe, a forever family is waiting for her. Stella is an 8-year-old, spayed Jindo mix with a low-to-medium energy level and the sweetest personality you could imagine. She is bright, cheerful, incredibly smart, and a certified good girl. She's fully pee pad trained, impeccably behaved in the home, wonderfully snuggly, and gets along with other dogs. More than anything, Stella adores her people. She'll happily "chat" with you about breakfast, tell you dramatic stories about the very suspicious person who looked in her direction on a walk, or simply remind you how much she loves you. She isn't much of a barker-she simply has a lot to say when it matters. Outside, Stella still needs someone who understands that bravery isn't about never being afraid-it's about trying anyway. Busy streets, passing cars, and unfamiliar people can still be scary, so she'd thrive in a quiet home with peaceful walking areas where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. Because she can bolt when frightened, careful door management is essential to keep this precious girl safe. And then there's Steven. He isn't just another dog in Stella's life. He's her best friend, her constant companion, and the one who has shared every chapter of her journey. Their relationship is filled with quiet understanding, gentle affection, and unconditional love. Watching them together is a beautiful reminder that family isn't just about where you come from-it's about who walks beside you through life's hardest moments. Stella has spent years caring for Steven. Now, they deserve a family who will care for both of them. If you've ever dreamed of opening your heart to two gentle souls whose love for each other is as inspiring as their love for people, Stella and Steven are waiting. They won't ask for much-just patience, kindness, a peaceful home, soft beds for afternoon naps, tasty treats, and all the tummy rubs Stella can possibly get. In return, you'll receive something truly special: the privilege of watching two deserving dogs finally discover what it means to be home. Good with dogs,
Story
Steven's journey began in the summer of 2020 in Asan, South Korea, when two adult dogs and seven puppies were captured by the city shelter. Steven is believed to have been the father of the litter. Frightened and overwhelmed by the shelter, his sensitive nature quickly landed him on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Band for Animal stepped in and rescued him in October 2020, giving him the time, patience, and love he desperately needed. Over the years, Steven has blossomed into an incredibly affectionate little dog. At 7 years old and just 20 lbs, this compact jindo/corgi mix is happiest snuggled beside his people. He loves walks, squeaky and scented toys, car rides, and quiet evenings at home. Steven is house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, sleeps soundly through the night, and has an adorable habit of "talking" with happy little grumbles before meals and walks. Steven's confidence has grown tremendously. He has lived peacefully with many other dogs at the shelter and has done well with careful, low-stress introductions. Because of his past, he would do best in a calm home with a family who will continue to let him build trust at his own pace. Steven shares a very special bond with Stella, and we hope they can find a forever home together. They bring each other comfort, confidence, and companionship, and after years of waiting, they deserve the chance to begin their next chapter side by side. If you're looking for two gentle souls who will reward your patience with endless love, Steven and Stella are waiting to meet you. Story
MEET BEOMI   Name: Beomi Age: 1 year 9 months Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Jindo Mix Colour: Brown Weight: 14 kg (31 lbs) Height: 45 cm (18 in) at the shoulder   His Story Beomi was one of eight puppies born to a stray mother during the winter of 2025. The puppies were brought to a shelter without their mom. While some of his siblings eventually found homes, Beomi remained at the shelter for over a year before finally being rescued on February 8, 2026.   Despite his long time in the shelter, Beomi is a sweet and gentle boy who just needs a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings.   With People Beomi can be shy and cautious when first meeting new people, but he readily accepts treats and gradually relaxes once he becomes familiar with his environment and the people around him. He can be picked up and handled without issue.   Beomi actually tends to feel more comfortable around dogs than people, so having a friendly resident dog could help him settle into his new home and build confidence.   With Dogs Beomi is very social and friendly with other dogs. He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. He generally does especially well with dogs around his size or larger.   He relies quite a bit on other dogs for reassurance and tends to feel more secure and confident when another dog is nearby.   With Cats Beomi has not yet been tested with cats.   Energy Level Beomi has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and exploring, but settles down nicely and rests after getting his exercise.   On Walks Beomi can pull on the leash, but generally follows his handler well. He does best walking in quiet or familiar areas. Busy roads, unfamiliar places, and new environments can make him nervous, so gradually expanding his walking area as he becomes comfortable will help build his confidence.   Other Behaviours Beomi does not show food guarding toward people, but he may growl if another dog approaches while he is eating, so meals should be given separately.   He may bark when he wants something and can whine when placed in a kennel. He has recently started kennel training and will benefit from continued positive, patient practice.   Beomi does most of his pottying outdoors.   Beomi would thrive with a patient family who understands that he may need a little time to adjust to a new environment. A confident, friendly resident dog could be a wonderful companion for him and help him feel safe as he settles into his new life.   Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  PLEASE ALSO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM!
