Story
Meet Ttoi – Sweet, Social, and So Ready for His Forever Home   Name: Ttoi Age: 6 months Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Jindo mix Color: White Weight: 12kg (26lb) Height: 47cm (18.5in) at shoulder   Rescue Story   Ttoi and his sibling Rangi were rescued after falling into a drainage ditch. Despite his rough start, Ttoi has grown into an incredibly loving and resilient puppy.   Personality with People   Ttoi is affectionate and people-oriented. He happily runs up when called — not only to familiar people, but also to strangers — leaning in for pets and cuddles.   He loves men as well, and can be gently lifted with an arm under his belly. He’s such a sweetheart that he’ll even roll over and show his belly to someone he just met. A true little charmer   Social with Other Dogs   Ttoi has wonderful dog social skills. He approaches both familiar and new dogs politely and invites them to play.   He does well with small, medium, and large dogs alike. If another dog provokes him, he usually avoids conflict. Occasionally, if an unfamiliar dog is too pushy, he may give a short “woof!” to say he needs space — very appropriate communication.   Cats   During walks, Ttoi shows curiosity when he sees cats, but follows his handler calmly when redirected. He has previously encountered cats — he showed interest briefly, then chose to move away. (Video available.)   Energy Level   Moderate energy. He enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but settles nicely and rests calmly afterward.   Walks   Ttoi has good leash manners and does not pull. He follows his person well and enjoys structured walks.   Additional Notes   • No food guarding toward people or other dogs • Rarely barks • Calm in a kennel • Knows how to hop in and out of the car on his own • Currently uses both pee pads indoors and eliminates outdoors   Ttoi is a social, affectionate, well-balanced young pup who would thrive in a loving home ready to continue guiding him as he grows. He has the temperament, sweetness, and adaptability that make him a wonderful family companion   If you’re looking for a friendly, gentle, and confident Jindo mix puppy, Ttoi may be your perfect match. Story
Meet Hobee Age: 6 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Coat: Brindle Weight: 6 kg (13 lbs) Height: 32 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story   Hobee was rescued from a city shelter just before euthanasia. She has now been in foster care for two months and is blossoming beautifully in a home environment.   ‍‍ Social with People   Hobee is incredibly affectionate and sociable. She approaches both familiar and new people without hesitation. By the second meeting, she acts like your best friend and happily shows her playful, charming personality.   She is comfortable being gently lifted (with an arm under her belly) and will even roll over to show her tummy once she trusts you. She absolutely loves touch and will happily burrow into your lap. She has not shown sensitivity to handling.   With children under 13, she shows friendly curiosity and wants to approach and say hello.   Social with Dogs   Hobee is curious and friendly with other dogs. She approaches politely to greet and invites them to play. If the other dog is receptive, she quickly becomes playmates. She does especially well with dogs of a similar size.   If another dog is confrontational, Hobee tends to avoid conflict rather than escalate. However, very high-energy dogs can feel overwhelming for her.   She has done well meeting new friends in dog café environments.   Cats   When she encountered a stray cat, she appeared slightly cautious and simply observed from a distance. There was no prey drive or aggression. Cat testing can be arranged.   Energy Level   Typical puppy energy. After outdoor activity, she settles nicely and rests. In the evenings, after walks, she may enjoy a short burst of “zoomies” while playing with her toys before calming down again.   Walks   Hobee is curious during walks and likes to look around. Occasionally she may try to move in a direction that interests her, but due to her small size she is easily manageable. She remains aware of her handler and walks thoughtfully.   Other Behaviors • Shares treats and toys well — she understands waiting her turn. • Generally quiet. If she hears a sound outside the door, she may give a few soft alert barks. • Currently teething, so she may chew socks or cords if accessible, but she does not destroy furniture. She enjoys wood chew sticks. • Potty training in progress: • Usually poops during walks. • Uses pee pads indoors reliably, with very rare accidents on rugs. • Crate training is ongoing with positive reinforcement. She will go in and out comfortably, though she prefers not to stay crated while people are home.   Hobee is a sweet, affectionate, and socially balanced young puppy who would thrive in a loving home ready to continue guiding her through puppyhood. Story
Meet Rangi – Gentle, Thoughtful, and Quietly Loving   Name: Rangi Age: 6 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo mix Color: Ivory Weight: 9kg (19.8lb) Height: 45cm (17.7in) at shoulder   Rescue Story   Rangi and her sibling Ttoi were rescued after falling into a drainage ditch. From a scary beginning, Rangi has grown into a sweet and sensitive young girl ready for a loving forever home.   Personality with People   Rangi is a bit more timid than her brother, but she warms up quickly — especially with treats. Once she feels comfortable, she allows gentle petting and begins to show her affectionate side.   Rather than rushing up immediately, she prefers to approach on her own. If you stay still, she will quietly come closer as if saying, “Please pet me.” Once relaxed, she enjoys physical affection even from newer people.   She can be gently lifted with an arm under her belly, and once bonded, she will even roll over to show her belly   With Other Dogs   Rangi greets unfamiliar dogs politely, though she’s not the type to wrestle or play roughly. When other dogs run and play, she happily joins in — but she prefers calmer playmates.   Very high-energy dogs can make her slightly nervous. If a large dog suddenly runs past her, she may squeak out of surprise even if there’s no contact.   If another dog provokes her, she chooses to avoid conflict. She’s a gentle and peace-loving girl.   Cats   On walks, she shows curiosity when she sees cats, but follows her handler calmly when redirected. She has met cats before and showed interest without aggression. (Video available.)   Energy Level   Moderate. She enjoys outdoor activities and playtime but settles down nicely afterward. While generally calm, she can be bright and playful when it’s time to have fun.   Walks   She has good leash manners and does not pull. She follows her person well and enjoys structured walks.   Additional Notes   • No food guarding toward people or dogs • Rarely barks • Calm in a kennel • Slightly nervous about getting into the car — may need to be gently lifted, though with a little help she can hop in • Currently uses both pee pads indoors and eliminates outdoors   Rangi would thrive in a patient, loving home — especially one that appreciates a softer, more thoughtful personality. She blossoms beautifully once she feels safe and secure   She’s ready to find her forever family. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram!!! Story
**Note: Yougncheol is currently in Korea, but will fly to Toronto upon adoption. Background Youngcheol was rescued from a high kill shelter in November 2019. After his rescue, he spent six long years living in a shelter in Paju alongside many other dogs. Recently, he finally got his chance to experience home life and moved into foster care in an apartment with a kind couple. After so many years in a shelter, adjusting to city life was not easy. During the first couple of weeks, he struggled with his appetite and seemed unsure about the new routine. But with patience, consistency, and gentle reassurance, he slowly began to relax. Now, he is much more comfortable and continues to blossom each day. Personality and Socialization Youngcheol is a gentle, submissive soul with a low to medium energy level. Indoors, he is quiet and calm. He rests well on his own and does not demand constant attention. Outside, however, you see a brighter side of him. He enjoys his walks and becomes happy and playful, especially when he sees other dogs. He has always been social with dogs. At the playground, he joins in nicely and plays well, especially with gentle and friendly dogs around his size. He seems unsure around very small dogs and often avoids them, as if he does not quite know how to interact. Larger dogs closer to his size appear to give him comfort, perhaps reminding him of his old shelter friends. He has no experience with cats. With people, Youngcheol is sweet and affectionate once he feels safe. He is more comfortable with women and can be shy around men at first. He may approach for treats and quiet pets but needs a little time to fully trust. Sudden loud voices, especially from young children, can make him nervous. Calm older children would be a better match for him. He loves being near his people. He follows them softly from room to room, simply checking in. At night, he sleeps peacefully in his own space, then comes to say good morning as soon as he hears the alarm. He is not clingy, just quietly devoted. Behaviours Youngcheol has shown no signs of aggression and no separation anxiety. When left alone, he mostly sleeps and rests calmly. He prefers outdoor potty. On walks, he may feel nervous near loud traffic or busy intersections, but overall he enjoys being outside. At the start of a walk, he can become excited and may try to sniff other dogs’ droppings. With gentle leash guidance, he walks calmly. He is generally fine with people passing by but can be startled by pigeons, buses, or sudden loud noises. He is still building confidence in the outside world and benefits from a patient and expereinced dog parent. He may experience mild car sickness, though it has been improving. Baths are not his favorite, but he stands still and tolerates them quietly. Afterward, he often runs around playfully to shake it off. He allows brushing when done gently in a calm space. He does not enjoy being picked up and may look worried if he senses something unfamiliar is about to happen, but he remains docile. Even when given medicine directly by mouth, he calmly accepts it. He loves gentle petting, meat treats, eggs, and playing with his stuffed dolls at home. Health and Diet Youngcheol is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He receives monthly parasite prevention and is healthy and ready for adoption. He eats regular dry kibble. He can be a little picky at times and prefers to eat when his people are having dinner. He enjoys sweet potatoes unless medicine is hidden inside. He has no known allergies. Ideal Home Youngcheol would thrive in a calm and patient home, ideally in a quieter neighborhood. After spending most of his life in a shelter, the outside world can still feel overwhelming at times. He needs a family who understands that confidence grows slowly and beautifully with kindness. Having another steady and friendly dog around his size would be wonderful for him, as he feels comforted by canine companionship, though it is not a requirement. Youngcheol is not demanding or high maintenance. He simply hopes for a peaceful home, gentle guidance, and people who will let him move at his own pace. In return, he will give quiet loyalty, soft companionship, and the sweetest morning greetings you could ever ask for. --------------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/youngcheol/
