QUICK FACTS Name: Palgong Age: 2 Years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo-Spitz mix Color: Black with some white spots Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My previous owner passed away, and I was left all alone. Thankfully, there were kind people who looked out for me—sometimes a delivery driver would stop to give me food, keeping me safe and cared for. Eventually, with the help of these caring humans, I was brought into the animal care facility. Now, I’m dreaming of finding my forever family, a loving home where I can finally feel safe, cherished, and truly belong.   MY HEALTH Neutered & healthy with no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date   MY PERSONALITY I’m a sweet, gentle boy who absolutely adores people! I might be a little shy at first, but with some kind hands and tasty treats, I warm up in no time. Once I trust you, I love following you around, soaking up attention, and being near my favorite humans. I get along wonderfully with my dog friends at the care facility and have a calm, easygoing nature that often makes me the peacemaker among them. I’m full of love to give and can’t wait to find a forever family to share it with!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly with patience and gentle affection. Once I trust you, I’ll follow you everywhere like a loyal shadow, eager for pets and cuddles. I even let you pick me up, showing just how loving and trusting I can be! · With Dogs: I’m friendly with my dog friends and usually get along best with dogs around my size. I love greeting new friends and joining in play, but I’m a true peacemaker—I prefer to step away rather than engage in conflict. Even if other dogs are rude or pushy, I stay calm and disengage, keeping the peace around me. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy my outdoor time, but afterward I’m more than happy to snuggle up and relax indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs and am generally very quiet, rarely barking. I can whine in my kennel at times, but I’m currently learning to stay calm through training. I’m fully comfortable with outdoor potty and prefer to do my business outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment. A family that understands my rough past and is patient with me throughout and continue to provide me with basic training and socialization. A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together. A family that will love and cherish me forever.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet and gentle boy who truly deserves the best. I’m a level 2 rescue dog, so I’ll need a few days to adjust and settle into my new home. Give me a little time to warm up, and I promise I’ll become your loyal and loving companion.   Palgong's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2606401##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Londonboy Age: 4 months (Born on August 2025) Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Mini Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I came from the Miryang city shelter. I was just a small puppy when I arrived there, unsure and a little scared. But even in that tough environment, I stayed hopeful and gentle. Thanks to the help of the shelter staff and rescuers, I was given a second chance. Now I’m ready to find a warm, loving home where I can start a new chapter of my life.   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I am Londonboy. I’m still a playful little baby! I have lots of energy, I bounce around everywhere, and I’m super curious about everything. I’m still learning where to go potty, so I need a bit of help with that. Sometimes I bark when I want my food or when I have a request. I also need some training for walks, but I’m excited to learn and explore with you!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very affectionate, so I naturally approach not only the people I know well but also strangers. I like to rub my body against them, and I let people pet me easily. I just enjoy being close. I’m also comfortable being picked up. You can slide your arm under my belly and lift me without any problem. · With Dogs: I’m very social, so I don’t just stick to dogs I already know. I also approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. · With Cats: I haven’t had any observed interactions with cats, so my reaction to them is still unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I usually have a normal energy level and enjoy outdoor activities, but I like to rest calmly afterward. Since I don’t have much walking experience, I tend to flatten myself on the ground when I encounter something scary.   TRAINING & HABITS I tend to bark to get what I want, but I stay calm when I’m in a kennel. I’m comfortable going to the bathroom both on indoor pads and outside.   MY IDEAL HOME My ideal home is a loving and patient environment where I can feel safe and cared for. I need a family who can give me gentle guidance and help me with socialization, since I’m a Level 2 rescue dog. A small to medium-sized home with a secure yard or safe outdoor space would be perfect, so I can play and explore freely. I also need people who are willing to help me with potty training and teach me proper walking skills. Quiet but warm and affectionate, my ideal home is one where I can grow, learn, and shower my family with love.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a cute, small mini mix dog with a very mysterious vibe. I have a sweet personality and get along well with others. I’m a Level 2 rescue dog, which means I just need a little bit of socialization training to help me feel confident around people and other pets.   Londonboy's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2606399##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Gyeoul Age: 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo mix Color: White Weight: 16kg / 35lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound right after being placed on the euthanasia list. I had arrived there with my nine newborn puppies, doing my best to protect them despite the scary, crowded environment. Thankfully, we were saved just in time, and now I’m hoping for a forever family who will give me the love and safety I’ve been waiting for.   MY HEALTH Spayed & healthy with no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date Heartworm negative   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super sweet and gentle girl. Even during hospital visits for my vaccinations and heartworm treatment, I stayed calm and let the medical staff handle me with no trouble. I can be a little shy at first and need a bit of time to feel safe in a new environment, but underneath that shyness, I’m incredibly friendly and affectionate. Once I warm up, I open my heart quickly—after my profile photoshoot, I was already leaning in for cuddles and soaking up all the love from volunteers and staff.       MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m shy at first, but I’ll gently take treats from your hand and soon allow pets once I feel safe. When I open up, I love showing my belly and you can easily pick me up—I’m super gentle and very affectionate. I even handle scary hospital visits surprisingly well. I can be an escape artist in new environments and feel anxious at the start, but once I settle in and feel comfortable, I stop trying to run away and relax into the sweet, loving girl I truly am. · With Dogs: I like greeting new dogs, though I don’t jump into play right away. I generally get along best with dogs around my size. I have a big appetite, and I can resource guard my food if another dog is nearby while I’m eating, so separate feeding is important for safe management. I can take treats around other dogs, but I get a bit anxious and try to eat them very quickly. With training, patience, and guidance, I’ll learn to slow down and feel more relaxed when food is involved. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy my outdoor time, but afterward I’m more than happy to snuggle up and relax indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I don’t guard my food from people, but I can be sensitive when other dogs are around food, so I’ll need continued guidance with that. I may bark at strangers, and I know how to get on and off the car by myself. For my safety, I must always be double-leashed to both a harness and collar with a GPS tracker when outside. In a new environment, I can get very scared and may try to escape, so I need extra watchful eyes and a very secure setup at first. Once I feel safe, I don’t try to run. With patience, confidence-building, and the support of my forever family, I’ll continue to blossom into a brave, loving young lady. A family understanding my love for food and willing to guide me with patience and training so I learn to become more patient with my food when other dogs are around.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m considered a level 3 rescue dog, which means I’ll need at least a week to feel settled in my new environment. I’m very sensitive to new changes and will need support to feel secure and safe as I adjust. I’m currently working on socialization and basic training to help me build confidence. For my safety, I must be double-leashed and wear a GPS tracker (e.g. Tractive or Fi) while I’m adjusting with my new family. I have so much potential, and once I open up, I’ll become your loyal shadow and show you the sweetest, most loving side of me.   Gyeoul's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2604825##

Story
Meet Kongtteok,  a sweet 1-year-old spayed female Jindo mix with a warm brown coat She weighs 18.5 kg and stands 50 cm at the shoulder.   Rescue Story   Kongtteok was born to parents who were neglected and tied in farmland. From birth until rescue, she lived on a very short tether with little freedom. Thanks to kind volunteers, she was able to receive weekly walks and was spayed despite her circumstances. Recently, due to land redevelopment, the area was cleared and owners attempted to dispose of the tied dogs. Kongtteok was rescued just in time and brought into safety. She is now ready to begin a new life in a loving home.   People-Friendly   Kongtteok is friendly and affectionate with both familiar people and strangers. She approaches people willingly, leans in for pets, and enjoys gentle attention. She has met children under 13 and showed no fear or reactivity. She can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, though she is still a bit awkward being held due to limited experience. Once she builds trust, she happily shows her belly and relaxes.   Dog Socialization   Kongtteok is social with other dogs and enjoys greeting both familiar and new dogs. She tends to feel more comfortable with dogs her size or smaller and can be a bit timid around much larger dogs. She is generally uneasy around very high-energy dogs and, if another dog provokes her, she prefers to retreat rather than escalate.   Cats & Other Animals   While tied outdoors, Kongtteok lived around cats and chickens and showed little reaction even when they came close. On walks, she may watch cats with curiosity but follows her handler calmly when guided.   Energy Level   She has a moderate energy level—she enjoys outdoor activities and walks, then settles down quietly afterward.   Leash & Environment   Kongtteok may pull on leash at times but generally follows her handler well. She walks comfortably in quiet areas but can feel nervous around busy roads or sudden stimuli, such as people running toward her, which may cause her to pause or lower her tail.   Additional Notes   • Rarely barks; occasional demand barking when excited (e.g., when treats are present) • Calm in a kennel • Nervous about getting into cars and prefers to be gently lifted inside • No clear indoor/outdoor potty distinction yet due to being tied, but always eliminates during walks • Previously showed mild food guarding toward other dogs while tied; no guarding observed when free and fed in open spaces   Ideal Home   Kongtteok would do best in a patient, loving home that understands the adjustment needed for dogs who have lived tied outdoors. A calm environment and gentle guidance will help her continue building confidence.   If you are interested in adopting or fostering Kongtteok, please start by submitting an adoption application through our website.
