QUICK FACTS Name: Sunbong Age: About 1 year old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was miraculously rescued from an illegal dog slaughter farm with the help of brave and kind rescuers. I have been living in fear my whole life, scared to lose my friends, but now I have a second chance at life and I am hoping to meet my family that will treasure me for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I do not have much experience with this new, unfamiliar life that I now have, but I am learning very quickly and I am loving it! I enjoy taking walks, and I love meeting new people and dogs! I also really, really love snacks and toys! I may be unfamiliar, but I am growing, and with my loving and social personality, and a big heart, I have the potential to be the best friend and family you’re looking for!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I enjoy the company of people and like saying hello to strangers! I can be pet and held easily. · With Dogs: I like meeting new friends and inviting them to play, especially to those of my own size! I am very gentle, and I avoid conflict when another dog provokes me. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown, but a cat test can be requested to ensure best fit!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate to high energy level – I enjoy my play outdoors and like to snuggle indoors afterwards as well! I may pull on the leash at times when I go on walks, but I am good at following where you want to go!   TRAINING & HABITS I do not guard my food from people but may growl if another dog comes near me when I am eating. I am calm when placed in a kennel. I potty both indoors and outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I am still learning about this world, but with your patience, love, and support, I will be your best friend and family!   Sunbong's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2629258##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Hani Age: 2 years Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Mini Jindo Mix Color: White & Brown Weight: 7kg / 15.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued after being found abandoned on the rooftop of a residential building, where I had given birth to my puppies. Despite the difficult circumstances, I cared for my babies with great devotion. Thanks to timely rescue, I’m now safe and slowly regaining my strength, and I’m ready to begin the next chapter of my life in a loving home.   MY HEALTH • Fully vaccinated and spayed • Microchipped and dewormed • Was underweight after giving birth, but steadily gaining weight • Healthy with no known medical issues   MY PERSONALITY My name is Honey! I’m a sweet, gentle, and kind-hearted girl. I may be a little shy at first, but treats help me warm up quickly, and once I feel comfortable, I enjoy gentle petting and interaction. I’m curious about people and love playing softly with hands. I’m incredibly nurturing by nature and showed strong maternal instincts, often sharing treats with my puppies. While I’m still getting used to being held, I’m calm and cooperative during daily care like nail trimming, bathing, and basic handling.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS • With People: I can be a bit shy initially, but I warm up quickly with treats. I’ll even show my belly to new people as a sign of trust. I can be picked up, though being held still feels a little unfamiliar to me. • With Dogs: I’ll approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I’m not very playful. I tend to do best with dogs similar to or smaller than my size and usually avoid conflict, even if another dog provokes me. When eating around other dogs, I may growl to protect my space. • With Cats: I have not yet been tested with cats. (A cat test can be conducted upon request to ensure the best fit.)   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy outdoor time and walks, and after activity, I settle down calmly indoors. On leash, I generally follow my handler well, though I may pull if I want to go in a certain direction. With continued leash training, I’ll become more confident and consistent.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m calm and well-behaved in a kennel and do well with both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty. I do not guard food from people. I’m still learning leash manners and would benefit from gentle, consistent training.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving home where I can continue to build confidence and feel secure. I would thrive in a home with: • A calm, understanding family • Gentle guidance and positive reinforcement • Respect for my boundaries as I adjust to being held • A stable environment where I can relax and be myself   SPECIAL NOTES Honey is a truly sweet and nurturing soul who has already given so much love in her life. She is gentle, thoughtful, and quietly affectionate, forming bonds at her own pace. With patience and kindness, she blossoms into a devoted companion who enjoys being close to her people. Honey would be a wonderful match for a family who values tenderness, trust, and the joy of watching a dog grow more confident every day.   Honey's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2629254##

Story
Meet Bannie Age: 5 months Sex: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Mixed Color: Brown Weight: 7.9 kg Height (shoulder): 34 cm     Bannie’s Story   Bannie was rescued together with his littermate, Samsun, after being abandoned in a box near a ski resort. They were found wearing little collars with bells, and a passerby reported them so they could be brought safely to the shelter. Despite such a difficult start to life, Bannie has grown into a gentle, affectionate, and trusting puppy.     Personality with People   Bannie is friendly and social, even with people he meets for the first time. He often approaches on his own and likes to rub against people for affection. He is comfortable being touched and can be picked up easily, even by strangers. He sometimes rolls over and shows his belly, a sign that he quickly learns to trust.   He has not yet met children under 13, so any interactions with young kids should be introduced slowly and gently.     With Other Dogs   Bannie usually approaches new dogs calmly and politely. He tends to greet and observe rather than immediately jumping into play. He feels most comfortable with dogs of a similar size and can become a bit overwhelmed by very high-energy or pushy dogs.     With Cats   Bannie has experience living with cats.     Energy Level   Bannie enjoys activity and play, but once outdoor time is over, he settles down nicely and rests calmly. In busy or noisy environments, he may feel shy and unsure, but in quiet, peaceful settings he becomes relaxed and confident. He does especially well when paired with calm, gentle companions.     Walks & Training   On walks, Bannie is more interested in sniffing and exploring than rushing forward, so he may stop and start often. Because he is still young and new to the outside world, he may crouch low when something feels scary. He walks better in quiet areas and finds busy streets with traffic more difficult.   Bannie is very people-oriented and attentive, which means he has great potential to learn quickly with gentle, positive training.     Other Notes • No food guarding toward people • May growl if another dog approaches during meals • Rarely barks • Calm in a kennel • Nervous about car rides and needs to be lifted in • Mostly does his bathroom outside   Bannie entered the shelter at a very young age and is still learning about the world. With patience, love, and guidance, he will grow into a loyal, gentle, and wonderful companion. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
**Note: Dalie is currently in Korea, but she will fly to Toronto on Jan 16 upon adoption. Background Dalie spent her early life chained outside a rural home, used as a guard dog. When she gave birth to seven puppies, it became clear that the environment was not safe for her or her babies. Thankfully, the owner agreed to surrender them, and we were able to bring the whole little family to safety. She has been living at our partner boarding house ever since, surrounded by other dogs who have helped her feel safe again. Personality and Socialization Dalie has a calm medium energy level and gentle nature. She gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are quiet and polite like she is. She prefers to observe rather than play rough, and she keeps her distance from dogs that are overly pushy or high energy. With people, Dalie is very sweet and trusting. Even when she had her puppies, she allowed staff to handle them. She enjoys soft attention and simply being near her humans. Since arriving at the shelter, she has been loving with everyone she meets and appreciates a peaceful hangout. Behaviours Dalie has been easy from day one. She never causes trouble and avoids conflict. Car rides are still new to her, but she has handled them surprisingly well. She is relaxed for baths, brushing, nail trims, and vet visits. She enjoys going for walks and spending calm time outdoors. She prefers to potty outside. So far she has shown no separation anxiety, no destructive habits, and no concerning behaviors. She truly is a gentle and mellow soul. Health and Diet Dalie is spayed and up to date with her vaccines. She is dewormed and on regular parasite prevention. She eats kibble without issues and has shown no signs of allergies. She is healthy and ready to go home. Ideal Home Dalie is a sweet, smart, easygoing girl who will make a wonderful companion. She still has some learning to do, but her soft and eager to please personality makes things easier. She would be a good match for almost any family looking for a loving companion. A home where someone is around often would suit her best, as she enjoys company and quiet together time. ------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/dalie-2/

Story
Hi, I’m Apple. 🍎 I want to tell you a little about my story and my heart. I was rescued from a shelter where euthanasia was being carried out. I thought I was finally safe, but the place I was taken to went through changes and couldn’t care for us properly. Once again, I found myself in a scary and uncertain situation. That’s when Dream Tails Rescue came for me and gave me another chance to live. Just like my name, I’m a bright and loving girl. I really, really love people, and I get along well with other dogs too. I’m usually cheerful and gentle, and I love being noticed, petted, and cared for. Life feels happier when I’m close to my people. I’m still young, so I may have a few potty accidents while I’m learning. But I have a good heart and I want to learn, especially if you guide me with patience and love. I promise I’ll do my best. When I first arrive somewhere new, I might be a little shy for a few days. But I adjust quickly, and once I feel safe, I open my heart and show my true, happy self. I also love other dogs, so I’d be happy to share my home with a furry sibling. I’m a dog who loves both people and other dogs. Even after everything I’ve been through, I still believe in the world and reach out with trust and hope. I don’t want to keep moving anymore. I dream of staying in one place, in one family’s arms, where I can finally feel safe and loved forever. Will you be my forever family? 🐾💛

Story
Tintin was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea along with his littermate, Toto. He had been living confined in a raised wire cage, deprived of even the most basic care, in an environment where slaughter was imminent. Tintin was standing at the very edge of life — until a rescue reached him and gave him a second chance through a dramatic intervention. Despite the harsh conditions he endured, Tintin has grown into a remarkably gentle and loving puppy. He enjoys being around people, appreciates soft and kind touch, and expresses affection in a calm and tender way. Tintin gets along well with other dogs and is social enough to live peacefully alongside cats. Still just 6 months old, Tintin is a young puppy who has not yet been potty trained and will need consistent guidance from his adopter. Thanks to his gentle temperament and attentiveness to human cues, he is a puppy who can learn gradually with patience, encouragement, and love. Because Tintin has always been together with Toto, he may feel a little shy at first when separated from him. In a new environment, he might appear cautious initially, but once trust is built, he quickly opens his heart and seeks closeness with his caregiver. A puppy who does not fear human hands, but quietly waits for them. Although Tintin has never experienced the warmth of an ordinary family home, he is more than ready to receive that warmth with an open heart. Tintin survived a place where his ending had already been decided. Now, it is his turn to grow up surrounded not by fear, but by love. Please become Tintin’s forever family.
