Story
Ohoh is in Korea now, but will arrive in Toronto upon adoption. His adopter need to come to Toronto to pick him up. 🐾 Background: Ohoh’s life hasn’t been easy. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering in an apartment complex in Wanju, Korea. He was sent to a city pound, where he spent the next five years chained in a poor shelter with little comfort or care. This summer, Ohoh finally came to us and has been living at our boarding house, where he is safe and loved while waiting for his forever family. 🐾 Personality & Socialization: Ohoh is a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy with a calm, easygoing nature. He has medium energy, happy to go for walks and spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When it comes to other dogs, Ohoh gets along well with gentle, friendly, and well-mannered dogs, but he doesn’t like overly bossy, dominant, or hyper dogs. 🐾 Behaviour: Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead easily. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and is cooperative at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors. We’ve rarely heard him bark. With a little training, Ohoh will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. 🐾 Health & Diet: Ohoh is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, and he has since made a full recovery. He’s in good health and ready for his forever home. Ohoh eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. 🐾 Ideal Home: Ohoh will thrive with a family looking for a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. He gets along well with other gentle, quiet, and well-mannered dogs, but he would be happiest as the only dog in a calm home. A quiet, relaxed lifestyle where he can soak up love and attention from his humans would be perfect for him. Ohoh is an easygoing and affectionate boy who simply wants to be by your side. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky. ⬇️ Find out more about Ohoh from link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/ohoh/

Story
Hello! My name is Liv, and I’m a gentle soul who was once just days away from euthanasia at a shelter. But I was given a second chance — and now, I’m learning what love truly means. 💛 At first, I can be shy around new people or big, unfamiliar places. I get a little scared, but once I realize I’m safe, I quietly come close and show my affection in the sweetest ways. Beneath my timid heart is a dog full of warmth, kindness, and love. I get along beautifully with other dogs. I often look to my dog friends for comfort, follow their lead, and enjoy playing and cuddling with them once we’re close. Because of that, I’d do well in a home with another friendly dog — but I could also be perfectly happy as an only pet, soaking up all your love just for myself. I’m gentle with children, too. Sometimes, I can be a little wary of unfamiliar men, but I’m never aggressive — just cautious. I’m the kind of dog who startles easily but never hurts anyone. In calm environments, I relax and show my quiet, loving personality. I enjoy walks, though sometimes I get a little excited and might pull on the leash or get curious about interesting smells (especially if there’s a cat nearby 🐾). Big signs or large objects can make me a bit nervous, but I’m fine with cars and motorcycles. After a nice walk, I love waiting patiently for my treat — my eyes will sparkle with anticipation! 🍪 I prefer doing my business outdoors, especially on soft grass. When I’m with another dog, I feel safe even when my human steps out — but if I’m left completely alone, I might bark for a bit. Still, I’m calm and quiet most of the time at home. I know basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “paw,” and I’m very patient when asked to follow directions. Taking medicine isn’t my favorite thing, but if you hide it in boiled chicken, I’ll happily take it! At the vet, I get a little shaky, but I stay still and do my best — I really try to be brave. 🩷 I love curling up on the bed next to my person at night — that’s when I feel the safest and happiest. I also travel well in the car, especially if I have my own car seat to rest in. I’m looking for a calm, loving home — a family who will give me time to adjust and show me patience while I continue learning that the world is a safe place. Once I trust you, I’ll give you everything: my loyalty, my quiet love, and my heart that’s stronger than it looks. I was once abandoned, but this time, I’m hoping to find a home where I’ll never be left behind — a forever family who will teach me what it means to be loved for a lifetime. 💛

Story
🏠Currently in a Toronto foster home Hi, I’m Max. 🐾 I’m an 8-month-old Jindo mix boy, weighing around 9kg (about 20 lbs). Right now, I’m learning what it means to be without my mom and siblings for the very first time. Everything is new, a little scary… but I’m doing my best to be brave. 🧡 A Gentle, Sensitive Soul I’ll be honest — I’m not the boldest pup in the shelter. I can be really shy, and when I meet strangers, I might bark loudly at first. It’s not because I’m angry — I’m just unsure and trying to protect myself in this big, confusing world. But here’s the thing: when I start to see the same faces every day, I slowly let my guard down. I start wagging my tail. I start following you with curious eyes. Give me a little time, and I’ll give you all the love I’ve been holding back. 🐕 Social with the Right Friends I get along well with other dogs around my size — we can play, learn, and grow together. Big dogs still make me nervous, but I’m working on building my confidence. If you have a friendly, balanced dog at home, I’d love that — I learn best by watching and following others. Honestly, I’d do better in a home with another dog, rather than being the only one. 🚶‍♂️ Baby Steps into the World Walks are still a bit overwhelming for me, so sometimes I stop and hesitate. I haven’t had many chances to explore the world yet, so I need someone who will move at my pace — slowly, gently, and with lots of encouragement. Every day, I get a little braver. And yep — I’m still working on potty training and other puppy basics. But I’m eager to learn and grow, especially with someone who can show me what love, safety, and home really feel like. 💛 What I Need Most A patient and kind family who won’t rush me A calm, well-socialized dog sibling to help guide me A gentle routine and lots of positive reinforcement Understanding, time, and love A forever home where I’ll never feel scared or alone again I may be shy at first, but I promise — once I trust you, I’ll be your quiet, loyal shadow. I just need someone who sees past the fear and believes in the dog I’m becoming. Are you the one who’ll help me blossom? With quiet hope, Max 🐶💕

Story
Hi, my name is Donny 🤍 I’m a female Jindo mix, I weigh about 18kg (40 lb), and I’m 3 years old. From the time I was very young, I lived tied up in front of a factory. I never got to leave that spot. I was just… there. A short leash. A few fixed steps I could take. And a space I had to protect—because no one else would. That factory wasn’t a playground or a place to rest. It was my entire world. A world where surviving was the only goal. I never learned how to meet people freely. I never learned how to make dog friends. My role was simple: guard my space, stay alive. Because of that life, I never had the chance to learn how to socialize with other dogs. When you grow up having to protect your space to survive, “other dogs” don’t feel like friends to play with. They can feel like something you must guard against. Not because you are aggressive— but because no one ever taught you another way. So if I seem uncomfortable around other dogs, please know this isn’t a flaw in my personality. It’s simply the mark of a life where I was never given the chance to learn. That’s why I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog. A home where, for the first time, I don’t have to share love— but can receive it fully, completely, for the rest of my life. I spent so long tied up, never chosen, never held. Just once, I want to be someone’s everything. With people, I am incredibly gentle. Soft-hearted, affectionate, and full of sweet charm. I love human attention more than anything. Real home life is new to me. Even though I’m three years old, my heart is still like a puppy’s— playful, curious, and easily surprised by the world. If I’m adopted, I’ll need to learn everything from the beginning: potty training, living inside a home, sharing everyday life with people. That’s why I need a family who won’t rush me, who will wait, who will teach me with patience and love. Someone who will walk at my pace. Slowly. Gently. Respectfully. Please— just look at me once. I truly believe that if I meet my family, I will return the love I missed for so long many times over. I’ll be a loyal, devoted, and deeply loving companion— the kind of dog you can walk beside for a lifetime 🤍
