Story
Meet Tommy, a 1-2-year-old neutered male Jindo/lab mix with a handsome brown coat, weighing 16.5kg. Rescued from a city shelter, this independent yet playful boy is looking for a home that appreciates his unique personality and adventurous spirit. Tommy isn’t the type to shower strangers with instant affection—he’s more of a “cool guy” who keeps to himself at first. He won’t go out of his way to greet new people, but if you offer him a treat, he’ll gladly accept it and warm up. Once he decides you’re worth his time, he’ll let you pet him, but at the end of the day, he’s mostly interested in what he wants—food, playtime, or exploring his surroundings. Think of him as a teenage boy with a mind of his own! When it comes to other dogs, Tommy is enthusiastic and eager to interact. He approaches new friends with confidence, sometimes a bit too much! He plays well with dogs who enjoy rough-and-tumble fun, especially those his size or larger, but his bold style can be overwhelming for more reserved dogs. He tends to ignore smaller dogs and doesn’t get along well with other males who act tough despite being weaker. His experience with cats is limited, but he watches them with curiosity during walks. However, if his handler guides him away, he follows without resistance. A cat test can be arranged if needed. Tommy has a moderate energy level—he enjoys outdoor adventures but knows how to relax afterward. Since he’s still young and loves to burn off energy, he’d do best with an active owner who can keep up with his playful spirit. Off-leash, Tommy has his own agenda and may not always come when called. But once on a leash, he transforms into an attentive companion, making good eye contact and engaging well with his handler. While he’s still building confidence in new environments, overall, he walks nicely and follows his person’s lead. Food is a big motivator for Tommy, and while he doesn’t guard his own meals, he’s quick to try and grab food from another dog if given the chance. If the other dog objects, a scuffle could break out, so supervision during mealtime is recommended. He’s crate-trained and generally prefers doing his business outdoors. If you’re looking for an adventurous and playful companion who brings both independence and charm, Tommy might just be the perfect fit for you! Story
***Currently fostered in Barrie, ON. Guksoo is still looking for a loving family Guksoo is a neutered Jindo mix boy who is about 4 years old.He can be shy at first, but slowly warms up over time, and tends to trust women more than men. Deep down he loves people and wants to be with them all the time! When he first came into his foster home, he was very shy but would timidly ask for pets by slowly pawing at the humans. Now, he has become more social and will come up to strangers with a wagging tail to ask for pets and treats! He still continues to paw at his foster parents when he wants attention, and loves to snuggle and give kisses first thing in the morning. He is okay and gentle with kids, but can be startled by sudden movements. After some time, good food, and lots of walks, he will open up and give you lots of kisses and hugs When it comes to other dogs, Guksoo LOVES to play! And especially loves girl dogs. He loves to run and play with his doggy friends and is excited to play with both new and familiar friends. With his foster sibling, he loves to groom her and give her lots of kisses. However, he is still learning that not all dogs like to play, especially on leash, and he can get a bit frustrated when he sees another dog on a walk that he cant say hi to. He is learning how to be neutral to other dogs while walking and responds well to his handler. He has a medium energy level, he loves going for walks and exploring, and rests well once at home. He has a low prey drive and ignores cats when he meets them while on walks, but sometimes likes to chase birds and squirrels. He is currently fostered with bunnies and lived with a cat for a short time, he is very gentle with them and leaves them alone after a quick sniff. On walks, Guksoo can be a bit excited at first but will eventually relax and walk by his handler’s side, occasionally stopping to sniff. He rarely pulls unless he sees another dog or a small animal but is easily redirected. He is fully potty trained outdoors. Guksoo Rarely barks, only when a stranger knocks on the door or if something new startles him. He has no destructive behaviours and can be left alone in the home without any issues. He loves to chew and enjoys playing with his chew toys or a long lasting treat.  Will you welcome this sweet boy into your family? Story
Name: Horan Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brindle Weight: 16.5kg Height (to shoulder): 47cm ‍ Sociability with People Horan isn’t the type to instantly warm up to every person, but when she feels safe and comfortable, she’ll quietly approach on her own—licking your hand or leaning in for pets with gentle affection. She’s okay with being touched as long as she initiates the interaction. Since being brought to the shelter at 4 months old, she has spent more time around dogs than people, so she hasn’t had much experience living closely with humans. She may try to run away when approached for things like putting on a leash or being picked up—but once held, she stays calm and relaxed in your arms, and she often chooses to rest near people. With time and patience in a home setting, Horan has great potential to bond and blossom into a loving companion. Sociability with Dogs Horan is dog-friendly and initiates greetings and play with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. She prefers engaging one-on-one or with just a couple of dogs over being in large, noisy groups. When the crowd gets too rowdy, she’ll find a shady spot to relax. But when she finds a playmate she likes, she can play endlessly without tiring. She enjoys hanging out with medium to large dogs and is gentle enough to tolerate playful puppies as well. Even with excitable or challenging dogs, she manages to get along without trouble. Cats She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but this can be arranged upon request. Energy Level She has a generally low energy level and enjoys lounging around calmly. However, when she’s with a dog she likes, her playful side comes out and she can be quite active. Walking on Leash Horan is still new to walking on a leash and can get startled by unfamiliar or sudden stimuli. She has shown signs of fear when encountering barking dogs or busy roads, though she does better in quieter areas. She’s currently getting regular practice to build confidence and become more comfortable on walks. Other Behaviors • No food aggression—she shares well with both people and dogs. • No signs of separation anxiety. • Quiet most of the time, though she may bark when she sees strangers; however, she calms down quickly when told to stop. • She rides quietly in a kennel, though she’s still a little nervous in cars due to limited experience. • She is currently doing her business outdoors. Rescue Story Horan was rescued from a city shelter just before being euthanized. Story
***Currently in New York!!! Meet Pie, an 8-year-old neutered male Jindo-Corgi mix with a soft beige coat and a heart just as warm. Weighing 19kg, Pie has quite the story—he entered a shelter in October 2018 and spent five long years being lovingly cared for by staff and volunteers in Gwangju. In October 2023, word came that older, long-term dogs like Pie were at risk of euthanasia. Volunteers rallied together, and Pie was rescued just in time. While he's been patiently waiting for a forever home for over a year, his sweet nature has yet to find the perfect match in Korea—so now, he’s looking for a loving home abroad. Pie is incredibly affectionate and doesn’t hesitate to approach both familiar faces and strangers for some cuddles. He’s friendly with men, women, and even young children he meets on walks, happily allowing pets and belly rubs. Once he gets to know you, he’ll roll over with a clear invite to give him some love. He’s even fine with being picked up in your arms, belly and all! When it comes to other dogs, Pie is polite and gentle. He’ll say hello but prefers exploring and sniffing around on his own rather than playing. He’s friendly even with smaller dogs and will choose to walk away if another dog challenges him. Pie would do great as an only dog, but also coexists peacefully in multi-dog households. Pie hasn’t lived with cats before, but cat testing is possible if needed. He has a moderate energy level and enjoys being outdoors, but also knows how to chill out afterward. During walks, he’s more interested in sniffing everything in sight than marching forward, so his pace is relaxed with lots of stop-and-go moments. He’s leash-trained and walks calmly without pulling. He doesn’t guard his food, rarely barks, and is well-behaved in general. While he might whine a little when kenneled, he’s overall an easygoing companion. Pie prefers doing his business outside and is consistent with his bathroom habits. With his gentle spirit, affectionate heart, and mellow charm, Pie is ready to bring joy to the next chapter of his life—hopefully with you. ##2376137##

Story
Juju's owner has passed away and she needs a new homeShe's currently in NANAIMO, BC *** She’s currently taking Methimazole for thyroid neoplasia, over 85% chance it is malignant. Please donate to our GoFundMe for her Thyroid Neoplasia Treatmenthttps://gofund.me/2caa80e5 She's a Jindo mix spayed girl, about 9 years old and 13 kg Juju likes people, and will follow you well once she gets to know you. She will need time because she can feel awkward to meet strangers in unfamiliar environments. She has good walking manners, but is sometimes afraid of cats or birds. Juju is gentle and quiet, and hardly barks in vain. She plays well alone with her toy ball. As she doesn’t know how to hang out with other dog friends, she needs some time to get along with other dogs. No other dogs or cats in the home will be ideal. She really doesn’t like it if someone suddenly touches her tail, privates, paws or her side. She eats dog food well and is ok self-feeding. Her favourite snack is chicken breast, dried duck wings and dried pollack. Ready to meet Juju? Story
Name: Ravi Age: 4 months Sex: Male Spayed/Neutered: Not yet Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Beige Weight: 7.5kg Height: 41cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story: Ravi was born into heartbreaking circumstances. His mother was tied near a village center, likely intended to be slaughtered during Boknal, a time when dogs are often killed for meat. Fortunately, before that could happen, she gave birth to her puppies. With the help of compassionate villagers, the entire family was rescued and brought to safety. Personality & Human Socialization Ravi is a joyful, affectionate puppy with a bright and playful spirit. He isn’t shy around strangers—he happily approaches people, leans in for pets, and even rolls over to show his belly. He’s perfectly comfortable being picked up and enjoys cuddles. Ravi has been receiving weekly socialization training with professional trainers. While still a puppy in training, he already knows basic commands like “sit” and “wait.” He’s a great candidate for continued learning and bonding with his future family. He does well with children under 13 and loves attention from people of all ages. Socialization with Other Dogs As an active young male, Ravi enjoys play-wrestling and rolling around with his dog friends. He gets along with dogs of all sizes, especially larger or high-energy ones, and knows how to read social cues—he’ll back off or run away if a dog is too intense. While he may sometimes look like he’s on the receiving end during rough play, he’s clearly having a blast! Cats Cat testing can be arranged upon request. Energy Level Ravi has a balanced energy level. He’s playful and active outdoors, but settles calmly once he’s had enough exercise. That said, as a young and curious puppy, he still requires regular activity and may not be suited for a household where he would be left alone for long periods of time. Leash Training & Walks Ravi is currently undergoing leash training and is making steady progress. Other Behaviors • Not food-aggressive toward humans or other dogs • Rarely barks, but may whine or whimper when left alone • Calm when riding in a kennel or crate • Currently doing well with a combination of outdoor potty training and indoor pee pad use Ravi is a bright, sweet puppy who is full of life and love. With his affectionate nature, growing obedience skills, and social charm, he’s ready to find a forever family that will help him thrive. If you’re looking for a cheerful and cuddly companion, Ravi may be the perfect match for you.
