Story
Cornelia is a striking pup with cute ears and stylish white booties that contrast beautifully with her shiny black coat. Cornelia is a little shy with new people, but a total goofball once she lets loose. This spunky pup is the ultimate "best of both worlds" companion. She has a fun, playful side that shines bright on walks and outdoor adventures, always ready to show off her athletic, happy stride, playing fetch or splashing around in some water. But once the energy is burned, Cornelia transforms into a professional cuddler. She loves nothing more than curling up close and melting into your lap. At 60 pounds, this 1-year-old is incredibly easy to handle and responds well to commands and walking on a leash. Cornelia is ready to bring endless joy and loyal companionship to her forever home. Looking for a fun sidekick for all your adventures? Cornelia is your gal! Story
Affectionately called "Dorito Ears," Trap is very smart and knows the common commands. He would also want to let you know that he would love to learn more from you! His favorite things in the world are discovering balls in the yard and his friends. This cuddle bug would like an medium/active energy owner. By this we mean, you either love walks or would fit him into your gardening time in the yard. He would know how to self entertain with balls/toys as you garden, but sometimes would come in check with you to make sure you know he's still your garden pal. Treat motivated and Dog selective, Trap can be friends with his peers with proper introductions. He trusts the humans he knows and will slowly warm up to strangers. Once he gets some of his energy out, Trap is very content just relaxing, check in for some pets, napping, and playing with his toys. He also loves to snuggle. Trap is very house trained and rides well in the car. He is a very smart cookie and loves puzzle games too! He will thrive with an active person who will engage his body and his brain. If you've read this far, here are some unique quirks Trap has. He is afraid of sizzling noise of kitchen cooking, curious about dish washer, and is not a fan of the vacuum sounds. Will gather most of his toys into a place he's identified as his safe space / nap spot / or eating place. Knows the words home, find it, and inside + up/down. Understands Let's go/ walkie. Has a strong sit and lay down command is still being worked on. I'M NOT AT APA! yet, but I’m hoping my turn is coming soon. I’m currently at a partner shelter, and I’ve been placed on their Urgent Placement List - which means I’m one of their highest priority dogs to find a way out. I’ve been told that if someone steps up to foster or adopt me, APA! will bring me into their program and help me get ready for home life, so I'm just waiting to be chosen. All it takes is one person to change everything for me - email dog-foster-placement@austinpetsalive.org to be that person!

Story
Boski is a treat-motivated sweetheart with a relaxed, easygoing presence. Volunteers describe him as sweet, a little cuddly, and pleasant to spend time with. He leashes up smoothly, heads straight out to potty (he appears very house-trained), and settles nicely into his walk after an initial bit of excited pulling.Boski knows basic cues like sit and come, checks in with his handler, and shows a gentle, cooperative demeanor. He strikes a nice balance between playful and laid-back, making him easy to imagine in a variety of home settings, including apartments.Interested in Boski?
