Attention all coffee lovers, meet Mocha! This sweet senior loves all people- adults and kids alike. Although she`s an older gal, she still has a lot of pep in her step! Mocha did well when meeting to her dogs in playgroup, and was very tolerant of the other dogs. Mocha walks well on a leash, is housebroken, and is trustworthy when left home alone. If you`re looking for a mellow senior to cuddle up with, Mocha is the dog for you! No small dogs or cats please!

Story
We’ve had a lot of dogs named Bear pass through our shelter- regular Bears, Blue Bears, Grizzlies, Pandas, even a Sun Bear- you name the bear, they’ve all been here. But, this Bear might just be the most bear-looking bear we’ve ever had. Is it a dog? Is it a bear? From a distance, frankly, it’s hard to say. This handsome ursine sir promises he’s a dog though, so we’ve taken his word for it. Bear is a fairly mellow kind of fella- he’s a senior who is just looking for a retirement home where he can forage around the yard and hibernate as needed. He’s a favorite of many volunteers and is an absolute joy to spend time with. Bear has shared his kennel with many different furry friends during his time at PACC and was social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Bear is looking for a home without small dogs and one where he’ll be kept safe and sound at home with his family- this Bear has had enough seasonal migration for a lifetime and wants to settle down for good. He’d also prefer a home without young kiddos. Here is what we learned about Bear during a brief stay in a foster home:- He did well with an older child (13 years)- He loves to find sunny spots around the house to nap in- He’s housebroken- He likes to chew on toys- He’s great on leash- He enjoys belly rubs and was described as a sweet and gentle good boyPlease ask about Bear today!!

Story
As Dwight Schrute once said, `All you need is love? False. The four basic human necessities are air, water, food and shelter.” While he’s technically right, you do also need love- the love of a good dog that is! And don’t worry, our Dwight is way more fun than his namesake- though we haven’t asked him how he feels about beets. Anyway…Dwight and another furry friend were found by a kind person who took them in for a couple of days before bringing them to the shelter. They said that Dwight was very affectionate and seemed to really love people. He was a bit nervous when he first arrived at PACC but has really started to open up. Here’s what one volunteer said:“Wow, talk about a glow-up! Dwight went from being a nervous, timid guy, to a totally outgoing, friendly, snuggly, playful dude! I had Dwight and his kennelmate out in a play yard and Dwight was a super affectionate goofball! He came to me when called and leaned into me for lots of pets, allowing touch all over his body, including his head, neck, and ears. He has really come out of his shell and is showing off the wonderful pup he really is!”Dwight shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Dwight today!!
