Dom is a truly beautiful husky mix with a rich butterscotch colored coat and striking bright blue eyes that will stop you in your tracks. He is the kind of dog people remember long after meeting him, not just for his looks but for his wonderful personality. Dom was found wandering the streets and came very close to being hit by a car. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan stepped in to get him to safety and contacted our rescue so he could have a second chance at the life he deserves. Since coming into our care, Dom has shown nothing but gratitude and love. He is an extremely friendly and affectionate dog who adores people and enjoys the company of other dogs. Dom greets everyone with a happy attitude and a wagging tail and would do well in a home where he can be part of the family and included in daily life. He thrives on attention, companionship, and positive interactions. Dom is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe, valued, and cherished. If you are searching for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, a joyful spirit, and unforgettable blue eyes, Dom may be the perfect addition to your family.

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:4Beluga – A Soft, Fluffy Explorer with Gentle Manners Beluga is a 6-year-old, 82-pound female Alaskan Malamute who is as plush and chonky as she is charming. This super-soft lady has a calm presence and enjoys moving through the world at her own thoughtful pace. Lovely on leash: Walks with good manners, responding well to gentle leash pressure and verbal guidance. Independent spirit: Content to sniff and explore on her own, checking in more once treats enter the picture—without becoming overly demanding. Treat savvy: Will sit for treats and can impressively catch them mid-air; still polishing her gentle treat-taking skills. Social and polite: Attends doggie playgroup, playing with other dogs and keeping things friendly. Beluga is a mellow, fluffy companion who offers quiet affection, gentle play, and plenty of cozy Malamute vibes.
