Duke, 8 months old, neutered male, Terrier mix, currently weighs 32 pounds and expected to be medium size when full grown. He is in a foster home in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and is able to transport to a city listed on Petfinder once approved. Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation.
Meet Duke — a long-legged, lively pup who was rescued from a shelter in San Antonio, Texas!
Duke is full of puppy energy and curiosity. He loves to run, explore, and play with other dogs. Those legs of his don’t just make him handsome — they give him an extra boost when he jumps (and he knows it!). He’s still working through some typical puppy nippiness, but he’s eager to learn and respond to guidance.
Duke is house and crate trained and currently weighs about 32 pounds, with some growing left to do. We expect him to remain a medium-sized dog when full grown.
We don’t have any history with cats or children, so proper introductions and supervision would be important if his future home includes either.
Because Duke is still under a year old, he’ll thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not. If you work outside the home, please include in your application how Duke will have interaction, playtime, and potty breaks during the day — applications without this information will not be processed.
