Story
Meet Namu 🐾🐕 Namu is a handsome 3-year-old Jindo mix with a stunning tiger-striped brindle coat, rescued from South Korea. He and his sister, Nami, were originally raised to be sold for dog meat, as brindle dogs often “sell for more.” They were found living in a small cage until a dedicated rescuer worked for months to persuade the owner to release them. Because Namu was so afraid of his original owner, he rarely left the small “doghouse” he was confined to. As a result, his spine is slightly bent from spending so much time curled up in that cramped space. During that same time, Nami accidentally escaped into the mountains, and rescuers spent days searching before safely bringing her back. When Namu finally reached veterinary care, he tested positive for heartworm and had to undergo months of treatment. The good news: he is now completely heartworm-free and healthy. Despite everything he endured, Namu absolutely loves people. His tail never stops wagging when humans are nearby, and his joyful smile brightens his foster mom’s day. He has a gentle, affectionate personality and truly enjoys companionship. 🐾 Namu is: • Neutered • Fully vaccinated • On monthly preventatives • Healthy and ready for his forever home You can follow Namu and Nami’s journey on Instagram: @shkimhahaa 🐾 Namu’s ideal home includes: • A family committed to providing monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention • A patient home that gives him time to continue building confidence • A loving environment where he can enjoy daily companionship and exercise • A forever family ready to give him the safe, happy life he deserves Namu has already overcome so much. Now he’s simply looking for someone to love him forever. The adoption fee for this dog is $500. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Dog If you are viewing on Petfinder/Adoptapet and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this dog please visit our website, www.frecklesfoundation.org. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Meet Nami 🐾🐶 Nami is a beautiful 3-year-old Jindo mix with a stunning tiger-striped brindle coat. She was rescued from South Korea after being raised to be sold for dog meat, as brindle-colored dogs often “sell for more.” Nami and her brother, Namu, were discovered living in a small cage until a dedicated rescuer spent several months persuading the owner to release them. During that time, Nami accidentally escaped into the mountains, and rescuers worked tirelessly to safely capture her again. After rescue, Namu was diagnosed with heartworm and went through a full course of treatment. He is now completely heartworm-free. Through all these challenges, Nami remained resilient. Despite the hardships she faced while growing up, Nami still shows a sweet, gentle spirit. She smiles when people approach and is learning to trust more each day. She is a little more shy than her brother Namu, but she has already shown tremendous improvement since arriving in foster care. You can follow Namu and Nami’s journey on Instagram: @shkimhahaa 🐾 Nami is: • Spayed • Fully vaccinated • On monthly preventatives • Ready to find a loving forever home 🐾 Nami’s ideal home includes: • A family committed to providing monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention • A patient home willing to help her continue building confidence • A calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and secure Nami has overcome so much and is now ready to start her new life with a family who will love her forever.
