Story
Meet Backkom, a 6-month-old, 13-pound, Jindo mix, who came all the way from Korea to find his forever home. Backkom is incredibly sweet and fabulous with everyone he meets. He has not been cat-tested, but with his temperament, he would likely be fine with proper introductions. Backkom is great with kids and loves a good game of fetch with his human foster siblings. He enjoys playing with other dogs, going for walks, and cuddling with his people. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, and eager to find a family to love! This dog's adoption fee is $450. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!

Story
Naon is a stunning, 11-month-old, Jindo/Spitz mix who tips the scales at 15 pounds and traveled from Korea to find her forever home. She is great with other dogs, fine with kids, and ignores cats. She is a bit shy, but once she warms up, she will literally "melt" into your arms. She enjoys spending time with her canine foster siblings and curling up with her foster mom on the couch. She is a gentle soul who loves being close to her people. She is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, spayed, and eager to find her happily-ever-after. This dog's adoption fee is $450. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. Ok, who else in the audience LOVES the JAPANESE BREEDS???? Shiba Inu, Akita???? WE LOVE THEM ALL!! So, I am what we all believe is a Shiba/Chow mix. And each of these breeds have a couple of things in common- we are clean dogs (more like cats than dogs), we are stubborn, we love our people (and are picky about people who are not them), and we are absolutely gorgeous!! So there is my personality :) I am good with other dogs, love females more than male dogs but can get along with both. I am only 45#, compact with gorgeous fur. I am so smart, so independent, so stubborn and SO LOVABLE! If you are my peeps, you will have enough love for the rest of your lives!! I am being social at the rescue, I am exposed to and cared for by quite a few different people, I just love my real peeps more!! lol If you want to meet me and adopt me, let my rescue know! Fill out the application and lets get on with our forever lives :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

These pups are in Rockville, Maryland too!

Story
Meet MUFASA the lion king! Mufasa is a gorgeous 2.5 year old, 47 pound, red Chow Chow! This strikingly handsome guy is sweet, friendly, and lovable. This tail wagging pup loves to get pets, is becoming playful, and also settles down nicely -- Mufasa can chill comfortably when you are busy with your work. He has great house manners and would be fine in apartments/condos as well as houses; he would be great with a single person, couple, or family with older children (e.g., 8 or above). Mufasa is smart, and LOVES to go for walks. Poor Mufasa was found and turned into a Maryland vet practice and then the overcapacity Baltimore County shelter! It is clear that he had a home that taught him to sit for treats, etc., but he apparently ended up homeless for sometime and no one came to look for him! He is so happy that PetConnect has come to his rescue to find a forever family that will give him the attention that he deserves and never end up in such a scary place as a kill-shelter ever again. Mufasa would love to curl up with you to hang out on a cool spring night; he loves to get pets! He would be an excellent new member of the family! Mufasa is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find someone to love! ***Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ) , spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Mufasa is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system.
