Story
What's more appealing about Bruin: his beautiful brindle coat, or the way one ear flops over and the other stands up? Both! Not to mention his happy-go-lucky playfulness! This two-year-old boy certainly has a look all his own. Bruin's personality is also a joy. He's excellent on his leash and doesn't get bothered if other dogs bark. In fact, he'll likely cry in hopes of getting to meet a new friend. He's eager for introductions, but hasn't had a chance to meet many other pups in his current foster home. Housebroken and crate trained, Bruin will likely fit easily into a busy family. If you throw a toy, he'll definitely want to play with it, just don't count on getting it back. He wants to play and will roll around and happily show off his playful side. If he shows you his belly, he'll likely want to get a belly rub, too. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Story
Meet the energetic Rocket III. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a soon-to-be 2-year-old, 45-pound Akita Shepherd mix, with soft, chocolate-and-white fur and a heart-melting demeanor. Rocket was adopted from a local shelter when he was just 3 months old, and he's been living his best life ever since! Rocket is a playful, very high-energy pup who loves to zoom around the yard or an open area. He also loves to chase after squirrels which he feels is a challenge since they are faster than him. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Rocket loves playtime and is always ready for a good walk or run, but he also knows how to relax. When heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not playing, Rocket likes to stretch out on the floor or curl up on the sofa. An ideal home for Rocket would be one with a big yard to run around in, or an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures. Rocket is crate and leash trained, and heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s currently working on learning â&#194&#128&#194&#156stayâ&#194&#128&#194&#157. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a quick learner, especially when there are treats involved! Rocket absolutely loves car rides, and a trip to the dog park is his idea of the perfect day. This lovable pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Story
Meet the laidback Foxy! She is about 7 years old, 50lbs, and a chow retriever mix. Foxy was adopted from the Mesquite animal shelter 3 years ago as a stray. Foxy is spayed and microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Foxy enjoys cuddling on the couch and belly rubs. She is a low-key girl that gets excited for walks and treats. She is potty trained, and sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s never had an accident as long as weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ve had her. She is extremely patient with my two-year-old but she mostly tries to keep her distance from the ruckus he causes. We are rehoming Foxy due to our growing family with young children. Foxy is patient with kiddos but she would prefer a home she can relax peacefully. She is truly the most laidback dog weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ve met. She is very sweet, rarely barks, and loves a good nap. We will miss her dearly but know she would be happier in a home without young children. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Foxy, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
