Story
Oh my gosh, are you here to read more about little ol’ me? Oh, where do I start! Well, I’m just a happy doggo trying to live my best life and match up with a new family. DAS is helping me search, isn’t that cool? We’re still getting to know each other, but I think we’re going to find me some great friends. I’ve let them know that I enjoy long walks on warm evenings, trying all kinds of new snacks, and chewing on doggie toys. Who doesn’t love those things? Speaking of snacks, I’ve heard that Dallas is an exciting doggie-friendly place for food enthusiasts! I’d love to check out a few patios some day with my new family. Does that sound like something you’d enjoy, too? I sure hope so… maybe you could click that “Adopt Me” button and we’ll get to know each other better!

Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
DOB - Feb. 10, 2020 Reason for rehoming: My son (owner) moved to Africa. I cannot keep him due to my lease. If he cannot be rehomed, he will have to go to a shelter. The local Akita rescue is not accepting any new dogs. Alpha is a sweet and devoted American Akita looking for a forever home where he can thrive. He is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and naturally protective of his family—once he bonds with you, he is your shadow and your biggest fan. Alpha does have environmental allergies, so he’ll need an adopter who can continue his care and keep him comfortable. He cannot be boarded, so he needs a family who can provide in-home care or trusted at-home pet sitting when traveling. He loves being near his people, enjoys calm environments, and does best with someone who understands large guardian breeds. Alpha will make an amazing companion for the right person or family—someone who values loyalty, connection, and a dog who truly loves his humans.

Story
Darlin’ is a sweet, fuzzy 2-month-old Akita mix puppy who is just beginning her journey in the world. She is expected to grow into a large dog and will require regular grooming and coat maintenance as she grows, so her future family should be prepared for plenty of brushing and care to keep her beautiful coat healthy. As a young puppy, Darlin’ is still learning all the basics and will need a patient, committed family to help her with potty training, leash training, and basic commands. She’s a curious little lady who is eager to learn and ready to grow alongside a family willing to guide her.Darlin’ loves to play with toys, especially things she can chew on—teething toys will be a must while she’s in this stage. She enjoys the company of people and would love to be with her humans as much as possible. Having a doggy companion in the home would be a big plus for Darlin’, as she’d love a role model to learn from and a buddy to keep her company.A home with older children who understand puppy teething and boundaries would be ideal for this growing girl. With time, patience, and love, Darlin’ will grow into a loyal, affectionate companion. If you’re ready to put in the work and enjoy the rewards of raising a puppy into a wonderful lifelong friend, Darlin’ is ready to meet you.

Story
Age: 3 years Weight: 40 lbs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Unknown Activity level: High Shedding Level: High Training: Basic, Leash Skylar is a gorgeous husky/shepherd mix with striking blue eyes. He is about 3 years old. Skylar had been injured during his time on the streets and had TPLO surgery on his leg last year. He has since recovered nicely. He absolutely loves to run and play! He likes to try to be in charge, but takes correction well. He loves to play with other dogs and get out his energy. He gets nervous with quick movements and takes a minute to adjust to new people and situations. With a little patience and plenty of treats he will warm right up and ask for pets. Once he is comfortable, he loves pets, giving kisses, and cuddling! He will even gently reach over and pull your hand back with his paw if you stop petting him before he is ready.  Skylar finished his training on basic obedience commands and socialization and is ready for a foster or forever home! Does Skylar sound like your kind of guy? Email placement@duckteam6.org or visit our website to fill out an application.November 17, 2025, 3:05 pm

Story
Mahomes will easily become your favorite guy regardless of your sports fandom. This friendly young boy enjoys petting and gnawing on a tasty chew bone. Having his fans nearby brings him extra confidence and gives him the opportunity to show he's a good neighbor. This adorable, clumsy fellow thrives on affection. Playing catch or fetch isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a priority for him, but hugs and pets are always welcome. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s housebroken and a champ on his leash. Mahomesâ&#194&#128&#194&#153 current care has him on a path to a long and healthy life, so opportunities to meet other furry friends remain limited as he improves. For now, people are his favorites pastime and heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a champion at spreading happiness. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/. Story
Meatball is a male German shepherd / husky mix. He has one brown eye and one blue eye. He is full grown at 2 years old. He loves walks and playing at the dog park. Hard, indestructible toys are his best friend. Soft toys are destroyed in 2 mins. lol. He is crate trained. Rings the bells to let you know he needs to go outside to potty. He knows basic commands: sit, place, crate, potty. If you tell him itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s time to go 'night-night', he will go to crate. No soft bedding in the crate. If he gets bored, he will tear it up. No accidents in the house. We rescued him from a shelter and he is fixed and chipped. He does well with other dogs and teenagers. We donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t know how he would be with little kids as we donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t have any. He is about 65lbs and considered full grown- medium sized dog. We have 2 crates, dog food bin, toys, dog food and water bowls with risers that will go with him. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Meatball II, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
